Coach Ricky and the Amor Soccer program has helped my son develop into a passionate and skillful soccer player. His experiences with Coach Ricky and staff from 2.5 years old has been an essential part in his growth as a player and in his confidence in his own skills as a 5 year old who can play against kids 1-2 years older than him. The friendships and family that has developed through the program are lifetime and evident upon any observation of one of the Amor classes. If you are looking for your young player to grow to love the sport, have time touching the ball many times during games, and become a more skilled player then Amor Soccer is absolutely the best place to start and stay! Thank you to all the Amor Coaches for your dedication to the community and your willingness to start players at a young age!

The person at the desk did not explain the rule in a respectful way. Instead, she made us feel like our business was not wanted. What we heard was "your money is not good here." We were not asking for something unreasonable. We were offering to pay more for a guest who would not even participate in badminton. A simple "sorry, that is the policy" would have gone a long way, but instead we were treated with attitude and dismissal. If this is how management truly wants staff to handle customers, it is poor business. If not, then they should reconsider who they trust to be the first point of contact. Either way, the message we got loud and clear is that customers are not valued here.

It's…read morenot the biggest gym there is, but on a weeknight you're likely to be able to snag a court without much issue (they do have a court sign-up system on their computers for busier times). Cost is average - $17 for open gym for one person; you can stay as long as you'd like (provided your muscles let you). No need to bring your own birdies and they also sell rackets, accessories, and water ($1 per bottle) and Gatorade ($3 per bottle). Note there is a $10 minimum charge for credit card. Only real complaint I have is that there doesn't seem to be AC indoors so it can heat up quickly, especially on hot summer days.

Buyer Beware: Fraudulent Charges & Nightmare Cancellation Process…read moreBefore you sign up for a membership at City Sports, you need to know their cancellation policy is intentionally designed to trap you. You cannot cancel online, and you cannot cancel over the phone. They force you to physically come into the office to do it. I specifically went into the Fremont location in April to cancel my membership. I went through their whole process, gave them my reason for cancelling, and was explicitly told that I would no longer be charged. In reality, they completely ignored my request and continued charging me for two more months. I only realized it after checking my bank statements. When I called the Fremont location to get it sorted out, the staff didn't offer a single apology. Instead, they acted like it was my fault and pretended I had never canceled, completely gaslighting me even though I physically walked into their building to do exactly what they require. Check your bank statements closely if you deal with this place. Their customer service is dishonest and completely unaccountable.

What I really appreciate about Ariel is how well he adjusts each session based on how I'm feeling and performing that day, while still keeping my long-term progress in mind. Every workout feels challenging and satisfying, but never so overwhelming that I can't finish it. Sometimes I feel like he knows what I'm capable of better than I do myself! Since I started training with Ariel, I've increased my deadlift from less than my body weight to 1.25x my body weight. That's something I probably would never have attempted on my own because I wouldn't have felt comfortable taking the risk without proper guidance. With Ariel's coaching, I feel much more confident challenging myself, lifting heavier, and pushing my limits while still feeling safe. Looking back over the past six months, I can clearly see that I've been making steady progress, and that's exactly what I wanted from personal training. Highly recommend Coach Ariel to anyone who wants to get stronger and challenge themselves with knowledgeable and thoughtful coaching!

When I first walked into the center, it didn't feel especially welcoming, just pretty standard. It was around 9am and a bit noisy, almost like a street market. I noticed a pile of dirty towels sitting out. The women's locker room was okay, nothing dirty, but it felt a little dated and could use a refresh. A lot of the ladies were chatting, and it reminded me of a middle school locker room. The MixxedFit class itself, though, was amazing. The energy in the room was great and everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. I'll definitely come back for another MixxedFit class with Javier.

However, the gym needs some improvement. It is full of redundant upper body equipment but has barely anything for the lower body/legs. The closest is a large glute builder machine that is awkward to set up and use. You could use cables to do some leg exercises, but those are often tricky and require people to stand. What if the user is older and balance is an issue? Also, not everyone is skilled to use the barbells at the racks safely. There are no standard lower body machines such as the Leg Press, Leg Extension, Hamstring Curl, and Abductor and Adductor machines. By not having these, the club currently does not have inclusivity for people of all ages / abilities to work the lower body. Mission Hills used to have these machines, but since they brought in the excess of new upper body machines at the beginning of the year, the foundational leg machines are strangely gone. It's a basic expectation for a gym to include some lower body specific machines. The staff keeps saying that they have the lower body machines but that there is no room for them. Something about needing a permit from the city to put these machines in a different part of the gym. It's been 9 months now and still no updates. If they do have them already, maybe they could shift things around and at least get a leg press in there. I wish that management would have done something about this by now.

I would like to address what a reviewer recently said about this location because I think they left…read morean unfair review with lots of hyperbole. This gym does not cost $100 per month. As shown on their individual location page, the highest tier membership is $64.99. There are cheaper memberships depending on what membership you sign up for. It is not overly packed during the times that I go, usually around 6:30pm on weekdays and sometimes Sunday evenings. I generally count 8-10 people at most and have never had to wait for a machine or equipment. The only humidity you experience is in one of the bathrooms if someone previously took a shower. However, they leave the door open to promote airflow. As far as I am aware, there is airflow and I have not once felt uncomfortable there. Judging from a majority of reviews, many people like and in fact, love this gym. It will not anger you, unless you are quick to get angry over things. It sounds to me that the real cause of this low review was being charged an amount that they did not agree with, and possibly missing important details when signing up. This could have been resolved with a phone call, instead of a poor review. I would urge you, dear reader, to approach negative reviews like this with caution. Understand that the employees here care, it is not a crowded gym or humid in any manner, and Trent is there to help you out when needed. There is no pressure to join if you sign up for a free trial either.

I had no background in CrossFit or weightlifting and felt completely new to it all, but they explained the basics clearly, kept things motivating, and often stepped in to correct form so we built the right foundation. That gave me confidence and made the classes something I looked forward to instead of dreaded. Over time, I enjoyed Boot Camp so much that I moved into CrossFit. I'm still a beginner in CrossFit and probably will be for a while but my weight loss has accelerated since making the switch, and I've started feeling stronger, healthier, and more positive overall. So far, I've had classes with seven different coaches plus Brad, the owner, and every one of them has been dedicated, approachable, and engaged. Each coach has their own style, which makes it fun you pick up something new in every session. Brad himself is humble and very committed to building the kind of community that makes people want to keep coming back. The best part of this gym is the great community of coaches n people. It's full of people who push themselves, encourage each other, and make the hard work enjoyable. If you're looking for a place that challenges you but also supports you, CrossFit One World is it. Joining here has been one of the best decisions for my health and well-being.
