Definitely not the same as it used to be. The times I've come through, the dining areas have been pretty bare. It's hard when the D&B is huge. Went to have a beer and chips while I waited for my kid. Service is fairly quick since I was sitting at the bar by myself so they came over pretty quick. Otherwise, I have a feeling it's hard to flag people over. The place is as loud as you'd expect for a bar and arcade. Earplugs were super helpful if you're sensory. If you're really are sensitive to sensory things, this is not the place for you. A few weeks ago a friend and I had a really disappointing experience at this location. I usually expect the food to be standard bar fare, but the service we received was unacceptable. To start, our food took almost 45 minutes to come out after we ordered, and that was for my friends food, mine was well past that. The place wasn't even busy, so I don't understand the delay. When the food finally did arrive, it was mediocre at best, but that wasn't even the biggest issue. Our server was completely inattentive. They hardly ever stopped by the table. We actually had to flag them down just to get my friends drink as well as remind them of my order, and to ask for an update on where the food was as we noticed tables seated after us with a few more people were getting their orders. Our sever had four or five tables, that's including us. They continued to attend to the somewhat larger parties while other servers were clearly checking in on their respective tables. It was a bit frustrating to watch them check-in on other tables regularly while we were clearly forgotten in the section. Making matters worse, when I placed my order for nachos, I specifically asked for no jalapenos. When they arrived, there were some chopped pieces near the bottom of the dish. I had to pick them off, but by the time I got to the bottom of the plate, the chips were somewhat soggy, so I just stopped eating. My friend ordered a plate of nachos as well, the only difference was that his order had chicken and jalapenos. His complaint was that there was hardly any chicken and that the queso used for the nachos had no flavor and seemed to be a bit watery. At the end of the meal, we paid for our food and left. I came on a Saturday around noon for a birthday party, we were in party room 3 which is a nice big room with tables. The host had ordered a spread of food. It was fun to eat then go back and play games etc. I ordered vodka soda cranberry from the bar tender and he was always super fast and efficient! Around 1:30,2 it started to get busier! This place is huge, not only an arcade but a huge restaurant and bar in another part if you don't feel like playing games. Came on Sunday when games were half off so it's way more worth it. We usually go on off days and we use our credits up really fast. I suggest going when games are half off since you get more bang for your bucks. Download the app since you can rack up points pretty quick for free play, food, and discounts. YAYYY! Here celebrating my S/O 30th birthday and I have to give a shout out to Steven and Adrian for helping make this birthday a fun one! The room was spacious and the tables were sophisticatedly well put together! We enjoyed the food that our group got which was the Grill city banquet! Didn't think that Dave and Buster's had fire food but it was delicious! Couple of the guests mentioned how juicy the chicken and ribs were, and how filling the side dishes were! That mac n cheese gooone! lol In our party package we added 1 complimentary alcoholic drink for each adult for a flat rate of $12 per person! I would say it's worth! In addition, I got game cards for about 12 people who were serious bout playing the arcade games, which was about $32 for each game card. Tbh logistically, I would say having a birthday get together with 20 + ppl and a large room for 3 hours with food (and extra leftovers) is WORTH IT! Came here in a Tuesday night and had a real great time. I don't know why I thought most of the games would be out of order, but it was the total opposite. Everything worked which was a plus and there was so many games to play. From basketball connect four, Pac-Man on a big screen, bowling, etc... The team was very friendly and welcoming. The location is very spacious and the food was ok. We ordered the Cantina nachos was were ok. The nacho sauce was overwhelming and caused most of the chips to be real soggy. The food here is clearly frozen and then refried. The mozzarella stick was embarrassing. Biting into it I was excited for the cheese pull. Even fresh out, the "cheese" was a 2eird brittle and crumbly texture. It feels like it contains more fillers and additives than cheese...if there's any real cheese in it at all. Chicken tenders are overly battered. Also frozen. Chicken wings were ok. Sauce is good lemon pepper was the best. The buffalo wings have a nice kick to them. But again, frozen. The lighting inside the private party rooms is dim and dreary. I think it's probably to make adjusting to the screens of the games less jarring. Nothing was bad, but it definitely didn't live up to how I remembered it. That said, our server was nice, friendly, and attentive, which helped the experience a bit. After eating, I grabbed a new power card and was ready to play. I did like seeing some newer games added since my last visit, but it was disappointing to find that around 20-30% of the games weren't functioning. That kind of takes away from the excitement, especially when you're there mainly to play. I was also surprised by how expensive the games were. Most plays were around 7-9 points each, which adds up fast. Maybe I used to come on half-off Wednesdays and just don't remember, but the value definitely felt different this time around. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it also didn't live up to the Dave & Buster's I remembered. With how much everything costs now, there are definitely other places around that offer a better eat-and-play experience these days. read more

Ny review: Wow, that was embarrassing. I hosted my child's birthday party here early in the afternoon and it was extremely disappointing. Food was 40 minutes late. It's embarrassing when I tell people when the food is arriving and having people come to check on food and it not being there. I get pressured into signing a contract which I'm happy to pay but it should be both ways. I honestly do not care if it's busy or if it's a large order, you knowing that the part my is happening at that time and when food should be out should be honored. Food was supposed to be ready at 11:30, an hour and a half after opening which is something I don't think is too much to ask for. When I was asking about the food, I'm given an attitude by one of the mangers. I spend thousands of dollars on this party which is why I'm extremely embarrassed and annoyed when I could have just gone the street to big Al's. This particular outing was quite confusing!! Perhaps it was because we went on a Sunday or maybe there's new staff getting trained?! My son, and his two cousins bought the package where you get credits for playing games as well as a free dinner within the price of 25 or $30. As we made the order, the receipt did not print out so we had to flag down a manager to make sure we got the special code/reservation number for the restaurant portion of the games. The manager printed out the receipt and everything was fine. Yet an hour later, when we went to the restaurant, we sat at a table for a good 20 minutes before our server ever came. Thank goodness, my son and his cousins hadn't seen each other for a while so they were able to play catch-up! I was kind of annoyed , since I was hungry, but we patiently waited. Finally, our server came and we ordered drinks and food all at the same time. The server had no idea how to do our order with the code/deal we bought on their system. So he had to find a manager to help him. He couldn't put in our order for quite some time and it literally took us 45 minutes to get our food!! At this time I was starving, and we saw two people that came in before us leave!! They finished their food and got their bill. But they were also in a different section so once again, maybe it was just our server who didn't know what to do? Overall, our service took 90 minutes to get food and finish as you can see we got a flatbread, pizza, wings, and french fries, along with two beers for the adults. I hate to give bad reviews but a problem will never change if it's not acknowledged and taken care of. My friends and I get sat down to watch the niners game with a reservation. We see a woman server helping a table in front of us but doesn't acknowledge us so we assume she isn't our server. We wait 15 minutes with no water or menus but see her and a few other servers/food runners/managers walk by us. I finally ask a random sever who kept passing us if he knew who our server was. He tells me he's our server and asks us what we want to order. Mind you we don't have menus. So we ask for menus and waters. Waters come back in 10 minutes, finally we order our food and drinks. Server never checked on us while eating but only did when we were finished and only drinking beer. No enthusiasm on this guy, seemed like he didn't want to be there, and no sense of urgency. I would keep seeing the woman server talk to her table and actually engage in conversations. She seemed what I'd want my server to be, attentive, friendly, and smiling. So shout out her. I get it, when sports games are on and parties sit at a table for 3-4 hours barely ordering anything taking away high potential tips from severs, I can see why some servers will serve at minimal effort assuming their tables won't order a lot or tip on top of their bills. We started off with a classic - DDR. It wasn't too clear how to make it two player or the amount of games available. With Speed of Light, apparently the two player option was down, and some additional machines inside were also broken. They did allow us to combine our points for a prize later though, so yay! After games, we went for dinner, and the food alright - classic American. We ordered many appetizers to share, and I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich. The Crispy Chicken sandwich was alright, a tad lukewarm. The fries that came along with it were edible but not enjoyable. Between the appetizers, none of them were remarkable. Towards the end, we celebrated with a chocolate cake with toasted marshmallow but were directed to swipe our gift cards ourselves. This was especially confusing because customers aren't always familiar with these machines, and the instructions weren't clear. Paying took about 20 minutes, and for parties over 7 there is a required gratuity of 18% but suggested 20%. Came for the new years eve special with unlimited video game play + $20 redemption game credit. It's been a couple years since my last visit, yet surprisingly there was no new machine since then. Unfortunately a lot of machines are dysfunctional or even turned off. Safe to say we did not get our money worth at all, even after getting tired of playing the same game over and over again. We could have saved money by buying credits rather than the "special" deal. I'll probably never visit this place again in favor of the newly opened Bowlero in Valleyfair. We came for a date night on a Wednesday where they have happy hour 5-7pm and half-priced games. It was so much fun! We went to the bar to grab a few happy hour drinks and a flatbread, then went for the games. We wanted to shoutout Eric who was at the bar. It looked like they were understaffed so Eric ended up helping us out with drinks and our food order. Overall - it's fun for all ages and you can't beat half-priced games on Wednesdays. And the bar lady (she is so good in her line of work), well trained and very friendly. We ordered a ribeye steak with mash potato and beans. And i love it! The steak is well done, juicy and savory without putting any sauce at all. And because we ordered that entree we have a $10 cash back that we can use to play to the arcade. I've got an afterthought, when we first came in with my friend no one's in the concierge area and it was past 11am, and i saw people just lost interest and they left. Pass on food here. It's ridiculously overpriced for the amount of food you get. Their "pizza" flatbread is the saddest thing I've ever seen and it was probably 4 bites. I've had okay food here though but again, not the main priority here. Don't pass on drinks as you can get really a good buzz going on limited time drink deals or the happy hours. It doesn't hurt that you can play the games and drink at the same time to keep the fun going. And the games are classic and fun. No issues there. We were informed ahead of time that there would be a strict limit on the number of children and adults permitted at the party, yet no one checked this on arrival. That wasn't an issue in itself, but it did feel inconsistent. Upon arrival, the server strongly encouraged us to order multiple platters immediately, saying they take a long time to prepare. We had initially planned to start with two platters to ensure everyone was eating before ordering more. Several of our guests aren't particularly keen on the heavily fried bar-style options, but we were advised that two platters would not be sufficient for seven adults and were advised to order five. I purchased the Unlimited Play card last Friday, looking forward to bringing my 6 year old back to enjoy the arcade games, something we were both genuinely excited about. Today, we returned before watching Gabby's Dollhouse, a special outing I had promised her all week. To our surprise, we were told we'd need to pay an additional $10 per person due to a UFC fight being shown at the venue. We had absolutely no intention of watching the fight we were just there for the arcade and food. It's incredibly frustrating to be charged for something completely unrelated to our visit, especially after already buying a premium play card. There was no clear communication about this extra fee at the time of purchase. When I raised this concern, the manager, Steven Nguyen, claimed a poster had been up since last Friday. Honestly, even if I had seen it, I wouldn't have thought it applied to us since we weren't there for the fight. This policy feels unfair and poorly implemented. If you're going to host special events, it would make far more sense to separate them from the general experience for example, show the fight in a dedicated area and only charge those who are there for it. Families coming in for arcade games and food shouldn't be penalized. This experience has left me seriously reconsidering whether I'll return or recommend this place to others. A little more transparency and thoughtfulness would go a long way. After reading past reviews, it's clear we're not the first to encounter this issue. There was a similar complaint three months ago. Steven, as the manager, if multiple customers are voicing the same concern, it's time to speak up. Telling me "this is business" isn't a solution. If anything, this policy is likely losing you business especially from families who would spend far more on food, drinks, and games than the $10 entrance fee you're charging just to get in. I truly hope management reconsiders this approach. We came here for lunch on Saturday August 3rd while in the area for Niner camp and back to school shopping. We had our normal player cards we've held onto for a while now, an and they can be used at any Dave N Busters I'm assuming. We have 3 total, 1 for each kid, 1 for The Wife & I. You can keep all cards on one login on the DnB app and load money onto the cards from there. The app allows you to name the cards, and keeps track of each cards points to play games & also keeps track of its tickets. Back to today. We stopped in to chill and let the kids play a few games. Bryant took good care of us, you could tell it was him and maybe 1 other server, he was friendly, outgoing, and worked hard. The food at DnBs can be hit or miss. Fun place for a night out, but can get crowded I came here recently with a few friends for some food, drinks, and games, and we had a great time overall. The arcade area is huge and there's a really good mix of classic and newer games. We spent a couple of hours just hopping from one machine to another -- definitely easy to lose track of time here! The food was better than I expected for a place focused on entertainment -- the nachos and wings hit the spot, and our server was friendly even though it was super busy. Drinks took a little while to arrive, but the vibe made up for it. Only downside is that it gets really loud and packed, especially on weekends, so it's not ideal if you're looking for a chill dinner spot. Still, for a fun group outing or a casual date night, this Dave & Buster's is worth checking out. read more
