I was so incredibly disappointed when I came here for my son's bday. I expected to pay more than normal for pizza and drinks etc. what I didn't expect was to have to pay for water for my kids or that a personal pizza with 2 toppings would be close to 20 dollars! I asked for water for my 2 kids and was told they only have cone shaped paper cups- how is a child supposed to put their water on the table and eat - especially a 2 yr old- when it's cold shaped- no lid no straw. If I'm spending 70 dollars on just food for literally 2 adults and 2 kids under 5- I shouldn't have to beg and fight for 2 water cups or get Cara de caca when I ask!!! Smells so bad! Got here right when they opened. Even right after opening they were out of Caesar salad and the place wasn't very clean. You could smell urine any where within the building. Staff wasn't friendly, and was unorganized. Some of the food was old and smelled funky. Any food they served either wasn't good or was old. For certain foods, there little of it or none. This cec has mostly games and no kids playground climbing tubes etc. they don't have any of those large muppet characters as the LED monitors replaced them. There were actually two different large mice. The one that's fake and the newer one who walks around to greet kids and he has different ears. Pizza was better than what expected. My son loves watching the Chuck E. Cheese music videos on YouTube and I like to bring him as a treat. I didn't get many opportunities as a child to come to places like this so now that I'm a parent I can enjoy through his perspective. We came here a couple weekends... once on a Friday, then the following week on a Saturday. On the Friday, we ordered a play package with a pizza (stuffed crust add-on $2) and a couple drinks plus a play card. Our pizza took about 20-25 minutes to come out. I didn't want to leave the pizza unattended so I had my hubby play with our son. After 30 minutes of pleading my son to eat with no avail, we changed seats to be closer to the games. I informed my hubby I was going to the restroom and was surprised to find our table had been cleared. I asked the older Caucasian manager woman if she had cleared our table. She said she had not but maybe another employee had gotten overzealous and cleared up the unattended table (which is why I was guarding it in the first place). She offered kindly to replace the pizza because the kitchen was not busy at the time. I asked for a personal size since I was only worried about getting something to eat since he was too happy to be playing his favorite games. The manager found us after the pizza was ready and the server was kind enough to box the upgraded medium pizza (what we had originally ordered upon arriving). Our server also helped us behind the counter and gave my son a Munch plush to compensate us and he LOVED IT. The Saturday we went, I mistakenly tried to use a coupon that was only M-F ($15 for 50 points I think). The manager who had helped us the week prior was there helping the girls behind the register. Our cashier noted the offer wasn't valid that day but if I checked their website there would be other coupons. I was tired and smiled at her for suggesting me to save a few bucks but declined to check on my phone; instead, she asked her manager about a different deal and punched in the code ($20 for 100 points). Needless to say I paid a lot less than I would have! Yeah yeah the pizza is not the greatest but it's certainly not the worst and the service I received both times was outstanding in my perspective. If you treat the employees well, they'll remember that and are more likely to upgrade your prizes. The free Wi-Fi is a plus and I also noted some small personal bottles of Gallo wine for the adults. It's the closest to us and we will continue to frequent this location as long as it's open. read more

I've been in a handful of times in the last few months and each time, the place has been spotless clean, furthermore the staff is consistently checking up on the cleanliness and ice surrounding the salad bar, proper handling of everything including managing the place. Here for the children!! They love the food, the games and all the other kids they have to play with!! As for me.....ugh, not so much! The smell in here is atrocious!!! Okay, Yes, this is the worst rating I have given anywhere thus far...but they truly earned it. We arrived and the guy at the door greets us, I tell him it is our first time and he slaps a sticker in my hand for something called "Kid Check." OK Then we walk around to look at games and play stuff plus make tons of miniature friends--I think kids are strangely attracted to one another...so different from adults. We then approach the counter to order. 1 medium veggie pizza, some cheese bread, a plastic Chuck E Cheese cup, water, salad....yep, that should do it. We get a number, buy some tokens, and get handed some paper plates--no utensils, no napkins. OK We take a table. We grab our drinks. We go play games. The games were truly the best part of the whole trip. As we are playing (and winning many tickets I might add) I hear that Chuck E. is coming out. There is a big to-do and the music gets loud and I am super excited, more so than my minor companion. All this hype, and I am too excited, and then... drum roll... NOTHING!!! No mouse. No Chuck E. No anything. Just more of nothing. OK So then the food comes out, I guess. I did find it at the table, but with no napkins, no anything else. Good thing I had a diaper bag with me so we could share the wipes container :) OK As we are finishing eating I think we should visit bathroom before the journey home. Uggghhhh...gross. I mean, what did I expect? The Four Seasons? No, I did not, but I also did not quite expect what I saw. Enough said. OK I assume management is tight on spending, maintenance, labor, etc. But...if you want kids to keep dragging their families there you gotta spend a little on labor and maintenance. Nast E. In reading this review, keep in mind that I am NOT a clean freak, by any stretch of the imagination. We were the first patrons to arrive when they opened. Walked in and the place is filthy. There is a dirty sock on the carousel. The bathrooms had not been cleaned from the day before, they closed down the women's room for cleaning shortly after we arrived. Half the games were broken but without "Out of Order" signs, so if you wanted reimbursement for your lost tokens you had to track down a disinterested teen aged employee. I feel sorry for the workers here. The patrons here are extremely ghetto to the point where it was a culture shock (even though I was born in the Bay Area, worked in Oakland for almost a decade and live in SF). One of the kids asked us if he could have our tokens because we weren't using them (they were on the table while we were waiting for our pizza). Another kid tried to grab tickets/tokens from my plastic cup but was stopped by her mom. It's seriously a jungle in there. I would never recommend it to anyone. The environment creates a strong crazy desire in the kids to spend their tokens as fast as possible to get tickets to get crappy dollar-store prizes, at best. It was a good experience for the two kids we went with but will never come back. It as also stuffy and no circulated air. And someone smoked weed in the women's restroom. The workers are overworked and too busy fixing the broken machines, replenishing tickets, etc. It's a chaotic madhouse in there. The only good thing was how cheap it was but then again, that was the downside. Each game was only one token, which is 25 cents (same price it was 30 years ago). So being in Castro Valley we usually drive down a bit and hit the Dublin one. Traffic was a mess so we decided to come here again. Last time I was here some dude tried to take my table that was clearly taken. When I confronted him nicely he got a little puffy but I just stood there looking at him and he walked away. There was a family who payed for a private birthday party that included a visit from Chucky.. Some slum buster lady let her kids run all up in the party, their table and photo bomb their family picture with the mouse.. I felt bad for them.. They looked so uncomfortable while the mother watched her three kids run amuck around thier little baby girls party.... We stood at a far distance singing happy birthday and enjoying Chucky in a respectful way.. We went here so that our toddler can tire out a little. Lol. It's free to get in. U just pay for games and food. We ordered pizza, wings and salad. The pizza was ok. Good enough to eat. The wings were ok. Very soft and fatty. The salad was ok. Soda was good. Expensive place. I paid about $50 for that bundle. There was barely any1 in there though. We went around 6 pm. They only let 100 guests in now because of Covid. It was probably about 7 or 8 adults and about 7 or 8 kids. So about 16 TOTAL guests there. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves so that was great! However, Chuck e Cheese is still a little too much for our toddler. She was scared of most games. Lol. She's 21 months. I thought this place had a play zone area which is why we originally came. I was wrong. Overall, cool place to go shoot the breeze if u have kids 3 and up! We had our daughters 6th bday here in December 2022. She had a blast but my complaint is that when I chose 8 kids. I assumed that was not counting the bday girl. So here we had 8 kids and one kid didn't get a plate setting or play card. Then to top it off we got a awesome parting gift of the Flu and Covid. Half my party got sick. Why in the hell did i come here? *sigh* Pro: no longer smells like feet or old cheese. Clean (for a Wednesday). Dirty play structure removed and replaced with new games. Tokens have been replaced by cards. Cons: Most Game machines are always down. Games only dish out one or two tickets, Making it impossible for the little ones to win a decent prize. Game machines use point cards now which is an upgrade from tokens but now these games use more than one points (tokens) to play. depending on machine of course. Play Tunnels are removed (Thank God) from this location. And replaced with more games that are out of service. Ugh! Will not be back again! Dublin is my go to spot read more

I hadn't been here since high school but we owed our Student of the Month a belated celebration. The place was clean, bright, and had plenty to entertain our four-year-old for a few hours. There are kiddie rides and traditional arcade games. The food was decent. We had the hot wings and pizza. When we alerted the manager that our order for a second pie was wrong(how does sausage and olive become pepperoni and bell pepper), he comped us the correct order and boxed up all our leftovers. read more

While everyone else was complaining loudly about not being able to go home by 9:30pm, Carlita was friendly, fun, patient and tried her best to make sure my girls had a good time in the short amount of time they had left to play. I've been taking my niece here for a couple of years and she love it! Pretty much nuf said.... She has fun, loves the games and really looks forward to coming. She plays about $5 in tokens. So one really doesn't need to break the bank when visiting, but one does need to have a disciplined kid. The could staff the ticket redemption a bit better when it's super crowded. Pizza is decent, I've only had the peperoni. And if a game ever malfunctions, which isn't too often, an attendant will tend to it right away. That said, the staff has always been stellar and very patient. My hats off to any staff that handles a lot of kids and parents. Yes, for me it is a bit of a zoo. But for my niece it's a destination that she looks forward to that breaks up her day! read more

Wow!! This place has changed - and for the better. It's been at least 35 years since I've been back, and this time with kids of my own. The manager and staff here are super friendly and the service is just phenomenal. It's clean and the games were all in working order. The food improved from 3 decades ago, but is still just alright. Obviously we come here for game time. I'd drive across the bridge to come back to this location anytime even though Redwood City and San Bruno is closer - just cuz of the staff. Hosted a birthday party here. 2 hours of unlimited game play, a long table with decorations, 2 pizzas, Chuckee cups for fountain drink, Dippin' Dots, goodie bags, a medal and a ticket wrist band for the birthday boy/girl, extra tickets, ticket booth, one bonus card with game points to use anytime, Chuck E Cheese singing, dancing, and photo ops. Using the app and applying all the discounts, all of this for less than half of what some other local indoor places charge. The manager and staffs were friendly and helpful. We ended up with less kids showing up than what we signed up for and they deducted that off our bill, no hassle. A little surprised that the pizzas were actually not bad. read more

This was the first time I've ever been to Chuck E. Cheese and probably my last (LOL). There was a line to get into the establishment and there weren't any co-workers working at the door. Fortunately, we had family members come early to get a spot for us and that allowed us to skip the wait and go straight in. My oh my... that smell! once you get in you're welcomed with a punch in the face with the scent of sweaty feet that takes over the whole aroma in this establishment. All but one of the play card "pause" kiosks were down and the line was forming on the one kiosk. The kids didn't enjoy that much complaining about how waiting in line is eating up their play card money. To be honest, I don't even know what that means... is this not like Dave and Busters but for kids and you just feed money to a play card? I guess not, the way it appeared on my first experience. I guess you pay for a play card and the time starts ticking? I don't know... I enjoyed eating the pizza and they were well done. The soda machine was filthy with syrup all over the machine. They also ran out of ice and no one ever came by to replenish it. That smell though... so overwhelming. Not sure if it's the cheese, the rugs, or if that's how Chuck E. Yeah I went in with low expectations and that's what we got. First impression was as we walked in the door. It hits you immediately. The stench of what I can only describe as smelly gym socks. We ordered some food (pizza, cheese sticks, fries, and cinnamon sticks) then seated ourselves at a table near the games. It took quite awhile for the food to come out. In fact the kids were done with 170 tokens by the time it did. The pizza was greasy. So much so that oil from it dripped off with every bite. The crust was not edible since it was hard as a rock. The fries had no salt and were a little burnt as I think it's cooked like the pizza. The cinnamon sticks were decent but also a little burnt. Then there was the prize center. So the kid behind the counter was helpful until we asked for the Disney princess stickers. They were out so I asked if we could have the ones in the display case. He first says oh they're taped together. I look at him wondering if it was too difficult for him to figure out so I ask can you take the tape off so my daughter can have 1 of them? His reply: oh no they're for display only. Why the heck are you going to continue to display them if you have no more???? No clean tables to sit and they need to maybe do a sweep every couple hours. Parents don't really watch their kids here they just let them run around.
