because it's the closest one to me. a lot of things are broken here. the ticket counters, the cotton candy machine, the ice cream machine, a couple of skeeball machines. bathrooms are filthy too. 9 out of 10 stalls are disgusting. I'm not sure if that's due to the patrons (probably, but the staff needs to clean it more often) the pizza is terrible. definitely tasted microwaved. I think all their food is microwaved. the only decent thing I got were the buffalo wings with celery sticks. chicken nuggets were terrible too. you just wanna gnaw on it for a little and then decide that it's like eating cardboard so you eventually spit the rest out. won't be ordering that again (thank god i got the kids portion and not the adult size) oh the food took FOREVER to come out too. I was starving by then. came in late at night. the one good thing: it's open late. the worst thing about chuck e cheese? that toy redemption line. yeh, some of the patrons are pretty ratchet and take forever to pick out their toys but be considerate! you see 15 ppl behind you and only ONE person behind the counter, hurry the heck up!!! and then when you get there, everything costs 400+ tickets and the ones that cost like 50 tickets aren't even worth buying. I took my 14 month year old son here to get him out of the house and was really pleased with the service and experience here. It wasn't as crazy as I expected for a Saturday, but it was Valentine's Day so that may have been why it was not packed. We ordered a pizza that came out hot and my son liked it, we played some games and rode the car rides. The staff was all super friendly and kept asking how the pizza was and if we needed anything. I also appreciated that when clearing tables, they sprayed sanitizer and wiped down each table pretty good which made me feel better as a germ conscious mom. This place is horrendous. The machines are always owing tickets and it takes 5 minutes to finally get someone to show up. Imagine being with a 3 year old waiting on each machine for 5 minutes! On top of that - 1 out of 3 machines don't function - which you can't confirm until you swipe ypur card twice... then to find someone to resolve the issue forget it. I had low expectations. I am very happy that we had an overall good time. We will come back. We were here twice so far. Once was a friends birthday party. Both times it was fairly clean, bright and no louder than any other arcade or amusement park. If you want quite go south a bit and visit the Botanical Gardens. Really. It is a wonderful place. You should go there. Anyway, it was very easy to spend an hour or two here. There were enough electronic games and old school games like skeetball to keep my 6 yr old busy. The food is of course fast-food. Yes, most all the staff seemed unhappy. But this isn't Disneyland. If it matters to you, you should know you will encounter a few unsupervised free range young children and more than one stressed out overstimulated adult. There were also several broken machines and we lost a few tokens. Overall I wish I saw staff patrolling the gaming areas. I've gone here two different times, both to have lunch after seeing Disney on Ice at Barclay's Center. The first time I was here (November 2015), half of the games were broken and the food took an hour to arrive, so I was pretty bored due to that. Not only that, but most of the toilets in the bathroom were child-sized, and only 3 or 4 were adult sized. Imagine having to squat over that with a full bladder-no fun! My second visit to this location was an improvement. The games were working this time, and the pizza came out in 20 minutes. They still had the awfully small toilets, but it's better than waiting in a looong line at Barclay's Center after Disney on Ice ends! So, all in all, it depends on the time of day you go there. The food is really good, and it's fun to watch them do the birthday song with the kids. read more

Came in here to kill some time while waiting to be seated at a nearby restaurant. OH MY GOD, THE SAVAGERY. I thought children were supposed to be innocent and played nice. Nope. They were all exactly the same. Pushing each other around not waiting for their turn. Throwing food on the floor to show that they did not want to eat anymore. Little boys taking turns on the race car games to not try to beat each other but to have the opportunity to slouch in their seat and drive with one hand. Not to mention the jungle gym was not enough for these little savages. They had to climb on every machine even when other people were using them. All this while the mothers watched in silence at what seemed to me as approval for the way you should act in public. visited this location with my daughter last week. She loved it. We stayed away from the food because its basically over priced fast food that doesn't taste good. So we just went in for the arcade. My daughter had a good time but the longer we stayed in there the more crowded it got. there were no tables all were reserved for parties. My children are having a wonderful time, though it's better when my oldest comes to earn tickets for my younger two. Many reviews said the place was not clean. I've been here over two hours, and I've seen 4 or more people cleaning. As I entered the ladies room someone was cleaning, not easy to keep a place this large with this amount of different people clean. My four year old son LOVES coming here and I enjoy coming with him. It's clean, the salads are fresh, and the staff is all very friendly. I would highly recommend not coming on the weekend or school holidays though, because when it's crowded, it's crazy. I will never ever have another child's party here! It was the the worst experience! Horrible customer service! I never got a party host , had to find a manager so I could finally get some assistance which did not happen until almost an hour after my party started, not to mention they took over two hours with the kids pizza and drinks! Chuck E Cheese (the costumed character) never did the birthday celebration because they took so long my guests left and I had to cut my cake on my own! They promised to give me a reduction on my bill because of the enormous inconvenience and stress they caused, but instead charged me separately from the party package! When you plan your party at places like this its supposed to relieve the stress of party planning on parents because THEY (chuck e cheese) are supposed to handle everything, instead I handled everything and not only left stressed but got scammed in the process! Not only will I never have another kids party at chuck e cheese, but my guests have also vowed to never even visit this establishment because the service was just that horrid! Mind you this was on a Thursday, which is less crowded so you would hope to have more attention and help but I got neither! Even guests asked for their money back because they had to wait over 2 hours for their food and they ordered separately from the party. Cheeses 139 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11217 Tel: 1(718)783-4570 since there was no information taken regarding the injury of my seven year old grandson, seth. on saturday, December 1, 2012 @approx 5:30pm. seth was punched and kicked in the head by another unknown child ( later found out named "star") during the time that chuck e cheese was performing alongside his worker named, "taliqua". the situation was "out of control" with too many children fighting over the tickets that were being tossed onto the floor. my grandson was at chuck e cheese for a reserved birthday party given at the first table near the ticket blaster machine (mikah #1 @2:30pm - reserved seating) when my daughter saw her son being attacked, my daughter promptly pulled her son out of the chaos. the chuck e cheese character was led out of the area. some children were punching the chuck e cheese on his back! the adults who witnessed this entire incident can verify and attest to this reported incident. this physical activity was not fun to play for my grandson nor was it fun to watch for any of the parents and family members. it was not the best day of my grandson's life. check your security video for this performance that took place across from the ticket blaster machine. my grandson did not feel safe, i did not feel that my grandson was safe and i was very unrelaxed in this non-safe, non family-friendly environment. when i spoke to two (2) managers neither one made an incident report. #1Timothy Jones, manager (wearing a headset) and #2Monique Codell, manager(not wearing a headset) #1Timothy Jones, manager seemed to be more effective and helpful in assisting me to locate the parent of the child named "star" who kicked and punched my grandson, seth in the head. We walked over to the table where the mother was seated (reserved birthday party table aprox. 4 or five from our table mikah#1) he verified with seth to the mother that the child did kick and punch seth. the mother apologized to me for her daughter. the mother said, "they always throw tickets." #1Timothy Jones, manager also attempted to get to the bottom of the problem; as he explained to me that he saw the situation was "out of control" and he told the worker in her headset to STOP throwing the tickets! he said, "she will get a write up." the other manager, #2Monique Codell, manager interrupted and told him to go away. she told me that she was the "Real Manager" and that he was only "Manager in Training" and that he can't do anything. she told me that the workers DO NOT wear headsets so he could not have told her to STOP throwing the tickets. she told me and my daughter and my family members that they always Throw the Tickets and they are just learning as they go how to do it better! UNACCEPTABLE response. my major complaint is that this place does not care enough about the children. the management does not take this incident seriously. there needs to be some RE-training of all the Staff and the Management. an investigation of this incident is needed because it is my first and my last time ever attending a chuck e cheese's party at this location. i heard about chuck e cheese's at other locations and i heard only good and better descriptions. this location site's chuck e cheese 's is way below standard for health and safety. in addition to the horrible incident of violence that was unreported by the managers. i noticed the overcrowding, and the unmonitored and unsupervision of the overall establishment. the salad bar was picked over by the patrons and not refreshed. the stage where the chuck e cheese animatronic stood behind the velvet rope was often filled with children who would touch and stand alongside this moving object. there was no supervision of anything nor monitoring nor security. check your security videos. this location does not promote nor advocate child safety at all. it is not a safe, family-friendly environment. read more

My son celebrated his 7th birthday here yesterday and had the best party ever!!!! We were so impressed by Lou (the GM) and his team. The flow of the party was perfectly organized and my son's friends had a blast! I asked the birthday boy last night what he thought of the party, and he said that it was the best party he has every had :).
