OVERALL 5/5 (personal taste 4/5) you can expect top of the notch quality and service here at chubby cattle! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality for AYCE is so worth it. I would recommend the silver Wagyu set for around $45 a person, but if you're really ballin, try the diamond and get AYCE KING CRAB!! (I had 8 orders of crab). The only reason I give this place a 4/5 for personal taste is because too much Wagyu makes my stomach hurt, so ibs girlies be wary..... also I LOVE that they offer chi seltzers, best of the best sparkling water!! (I drink like 3 everytime....) read more

Food is very good, we had Michael as a server, he was very attentive . Would highly recommend this place.

I still dream about Chubby Cattle's AYCE Wagyu beef with sukiyaki broth. Flavor-wise it's probably one of the most delicious and memorable hot pot experiences I've ever had when I ate there back in May. I definitely have to re-visit the next time I'm in the area! The staff was massive and the team seemed to work well together by helping each other out, making the service super attentive, and the food always arrived within a minute after ordering. Our dishes were always promptly removed when finished and our server was readily available for us to order more. Honestly the Wagyu beef with sukiyaki was so flavorful that I didn't even have to bother with getting any sauces on the side. They also have fridges stuffed with asian drinks like Wanglaoji that are included in the cost. Next time I'd opt for the spicy miso broth alongside the sukiyaki. The house broth tasted a bit bland compared to the bolder flavors of the sukiyaki. I am hoping they thrive and continue to open more locations, because I am all in on the AYCE Wagyu beef shabu shabu concept lol. Looking forward to having a similar experience the next time I'm in Duluth! read more

Chubby Cattle Shabu - So good. - Hot Pot Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a few friends several weeks ago. Overall I'd rate this place a 3.5. It's expensive and they limit the dining time to 1.5 hr with no wiggle room. There are many ayce hotpot places nearby for half the price. Personally I don't think you need super high quality meat for hotpot. Hotpot is hotpot. We all got the silver set and it was $55 a person. The menu looks like you get a lot but many of the options were "not available". Also none of us opted for the membership because we didn't think we'd come often. One of the major complaints I had was that many of the drink machines were out of service. By the time we left, there was an out of service sign for all the machines with no mentions of discounts or apologies for the inconvenience. We also kept asking for meat and assumed they throttled us because we refilled too often. They had to "cut the meat". On a Friday night, you ran out of meat?? How long does it take to cut slices of beef? I will say that the service was excellent. Our server kept apologizing when things went wrong, even to no fault of her own. Ambiance was pretty nice, it's newly remodeled. I haven't found myself eagerly wanting to come back so that's that. Not sure what all the raving reviews are about but to each their own i guess! read more

Every time I come here I always leave super satisfied! If you're looking for some great food and great service, I would definitely recommend Chubby Cattle. We ate the silver level and I think it's a great price for the amount of food you get and you get to choose two of their premium sides. Do yourself a favor and get the bone marrow as a side- it is so buttery! The quality of the meat and soup is amazing & the ambiance is great! 10/10 read more

Me and my friend been dying to try this place and what's a better time than during the cold winter days. The place was huge and so clean! Our server was Annie and she was AMAZING. She's super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She made our first experience that much better. We got so many delicious appetizers and the hotpot was delicious. I loved the variety of free drinks and appetizers that came with our combo. I was so full I didn't get a chance to try the ice cream lol. I can't wait to go back. read more

Fantastic all you can eat setting. If you end up being a regular, I highly recommend becoming a member as you will get a discount for yourself and one other guest. The quality of the food here is really great for the price. They have unlimited milk tea, and other beverages. The servers are all very kind and helpful. The restaurant itself is a wonderful place to be able to kick back relax and have a meal, a big meal at that. It's really a great spot to hang out with friends or family. Not sure if I'd recommend it as a first date, but definitely a good date night spot for those who have been going out for a while. I most certainly will be a regular whenever I have the chance and I'm in the Duluth area. Also - shout out to Chloe for her kindness and helpfulness! read more

The meats were really good, I'm an amateur when it comes to eating hotpot and I always say it's good to have someone with that's been a couple times for the full experience. Luckily I had my partner with me and our server was incredibly helpful. She stopped by to check on us and suggest the broken egg tip (dip the meat and cook it for around 5 seconds, dip it into the scrambled egg). Chubby cattle leaves it up to you to be self sufficient which I enjoy, the staff are really attentive and see if you're running low on your meats, they'll have you good with another plate before you're out. I noticed everyone helps each other too no matter who is our server, team members stop by to grab old plates in passing if they see it. The food was really good, meat were buttery soft. I liked mixing the house and egg broth together to get a savory sweet flavor. I think starting out, I recommend going with the 2nd or gold tier. You definitely have some great choices from it. read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant for my birthday dinner. Protein selections were abundant and food arrived quickly once ordered. The self serve beverage stations were really nice to have as well. I tried the gold tier and it was plenty of options for me. Loved the seasoned salt and house sauce available at the table for dipping. My only complaint is that when the bill came, I told my server (Tony) that I am a member (which it says on the app) but he told me I'm not eligible for the member pricing until I pay the yearly fee. On the website, it clearly says as soon as you create an account you're a member. He rushed and swiped the card before even hearing my complete sentence then told me they need to change the website wording. read more

We've already been a couple times and I guess I forgot to leave a review! First, if you're going to come more than once, get the $30 membership it'll save you money in two visits for 2 people so worth it imo! I know you're here for wagyu but don't sleep on everything else because the katsu curry was sooo good and so are a lot of the other side dishes. We liked the wagyu rice, Katsu curry, mini buns and obsessed with the tofu pouches The vegetable tray has a great variety - I love the squash and tofu pouches the most The seafood selection is fresh tasting and worth trying out if you're a fan of seafood. We ended up eating all of ours both times They have a variety of beverages near the front included with your meal + a sauce bar that has some cold side dishes on it. They also provide self serve ice cream but we've never had room for any so far We've been doing the gold set to get the a5 brisket and sampling of a5 meats but all the meat is good here. The service is Soo quick and they have plenty of options for broths as well. Our favorites are spicy miso and sukiyaki so far. Wasn't a fan of the tomato For those with kids, under 100 cm tall is free and I believe under 130cm is half off There's plenty of parking in the shared lot. They do get busy some days so wait can be long but it's definitely worth it! read more

Came here for dinner without any reservations and they were quite busy. We opted for the gold wagyu set. For soup we got the sukiyaki and spicy miso! All orders came with choices for special items and we got the wagyu nigiri and wagyu tartare. The wagyu nigiri was amazing! Melts in your mouth type! I also really enjoyed rhe wagyu tartare as it was pretty fresh and chewy meat! We helped ourselves to the sauce bar and free drinks. They had many options ranging from soda, milk teas to bottled teas. The sauce bar was also pretty clean and had many options to choose from. The service was amazing! They explained everything thoroughly and also came back to pick up and empty plates very frequently. Our server Coco was resourceful and helped us choose our cuts of meat. The Australian wagyu chuck ribeye and Japanese shoulder cuts were my favorite! We got also an order of shrimp tempura, it wasn't too oily and the batter to shrimp ratio was good! Overall, I think this place is worth the price! Definitely worth getting the membership. read more

Overall experience -- The all you can eat wagyu set option was really good. The other dishes menu had some really good choices as well. Service was great despite it being so chaotic. But during the opening weekend, it was just terrible as our place in the system seemed to have been cancelled for no reason after waiting 1.5 hours. As for the final reasoning for my 4 star review, it's the price point. It's so dang expensive! --- Some details -- The drinks were self service for the most part. The waitress will come by and ask if we wanted something to drink. It's just quicker to go yourself as the selections (green tea, oolong tea, sparkling water, coconut juice, etc.) were so extensive. Some of the side dishes (i.e. seaweed, clams, etc.) were also self service right where the sauce station is. The waitress will also ask if refills were needed of anything. The dessert (ice cream, sorbet, etc.) station is also in the front near the drinks. Grab at your leisure. Membership details. Yes, there's a membership. Weird right?! Our group decided to go for it anyway. Lol. One membership includes x2 people. We decided to go for the gold wagyu set which saved each person about $10. We all have to go back to get the membership's worth though. Haha. read more

Amazing meal. We got the silver package ($55 per minus $10 - we got the membership), and it was great. Money aside, we were treated with wagyu tartar nigiri and on chips, bone marrow (awesome), shrimp to cook, and ama ebi shrimp just for starters, then tons of wagyu. I loved the Australian ribeye and we had quite a few. Shrimp tempura, abalone, crab, scallops, and of course, more meat. All in all it was super delicious and the meat is so tender and thin that I didn't feel super full (for a while,,, in fact, exactly 90 minutes, which is the time limit). We got the membership so we can get the discounted price each time and one free on your birthday, in the end, it's pricey, but it's also very memorable and delicious, Personally I didn't care much for the vegetables, so I ate very little of it. I'll come here for the meat and eat my veggies elsewhere! read more

Personally, for the price, it was not worth it. Chubby Cattle Shabu is a chain and it has either a KBBQ or Shabu line. The Shabu version opened in Duluth next to Teso recently. While I welcome more hotpot/shabu spots in Atlanta, I wasn't a fan. It was soft opening but the place was packed. There's 4 set options and we opted for the 3rd option that had Japanese wagyu but not unlimited. While the meat quality was good, everything was just meh that it didn't justify the price. Not to mention that they did not have pork or some drinks that are shown on my picture available. I felt like there should have been a promotion for soft opening since they didn't have everything readily available. Seafood platter did have a decent quality but that's about the only other thing that was good besides the meat quality. Sauces were bland and didn't add to the experience. Shabu shabu broths are more on the clean and bland side but there wasn't any flavor if the sauces itself were watered down and without flavor. Sides were just horrible. Everything was over battered, bland, and quality of a cheap buffet. I wouldn't bother ordering anything since it's just to fill up your tummy. They also offer free drinks and ice cream but nothing too exciting. I do give props to the service as they were very attentive but because they come so often cleaning and refilling your meat little by little, it was so chaotic that I couldn't really enjoy the meal. Not to mention the loud music and echoing sounds from the high ceiling. I realize it's soft opening so I hope they make much improvements. Oh and broth wise, there's 4 options but I think House was the best. read more

Chubby Cattle Shabu - Wagyu!! - Hot Pot Near Me - Duluth, Georgia

Like everyone we had to try it out because of the hype. For this price, you can have a lot of choices around here for a good meal. But is it wagyu good? When we went there was no wait since it was a weekday dinner. Our server Uri is very patient to explain to us all the choices they have. We went with the gold option. We were there for the Japanese wagyu anyway. And we love Brisket and the gold option let us sample the other cut as well. We went with sukiyaki and house broth. We definitely like the house broth better. The sukiyaki was sweeter and more flavorful but the house broth is perfect for us. We also tried the sweet shrimp sashimi which was really refreshing. The bone marrow is much better though. A lot better than many fancy steak house bone marrow for sure. We normally don't eat that much so I wish there was an a la cart option for us. But it is still definitely worth the experience. read more

I would not recommend ever going here. The worst customer service I've ever seen. My wife and I came here because it said they close at 11pm. Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. And with the hype of this place we wanted to check if it was worth all of it. And for me, it didn't hit the spot. I think there were a lot of factors that sort of made me get to this spot of why it didn't hit it so I'll list them. Negatives that just didn't make it for me: 1. Time Limit - So let's start here. There's a time limit to the AYCE style. They give you a timer and so now you're sort of rushing when you're eating. If you're paying $300 for a meal for 4, I feel like at that point the rushing of eating is really not necessary. If you're looking to try all the different types, the table isn't big enough to fit everything, and then at the same time you're cooking and it takes time to cook. Honestly, if you didn't have a time limit I think people would still get full based on what they eat. 2. Broth / Flavor of the broth of the hotpot. The broth wasn't there. Even if the broth was super flavorful, depending on if you're just eating wagyu, that fat will melt in the broth and when you're dipping it in the broth and pull it out, that fat will just melt all the flavor away. I think that's a shame, but yeah wagyu and the fat content is just really high and when you cook it, it all disappears. Which leaves me to the next. 3. Wagyu just isn't it for hotpot. Again harking back to #2, wagyu and the fat content is just going to go into the broth and then you're dipping your meat in basically hot fat with the broth on the bottom. I think if there was a way to remove the fat every once in a while, then it would work. So maybe wagyu has a place in like a KBBQ when the cooking top is switched out? The hotpot experience with wagyu just didn't hit it for me for hotpot. 4. Limited Sauces - The sauce bar was a little lacking. There's an island in the middle but there weren't that many sauces. Now, since you don't really taste the broth you would think that the sauces would be a bit more upgraded or have more variety. I've seen better variety elsewhere. 5. Heat/AC - During our visit or maybe it's just like it all the time, it was extremely hot. It makes sense, you have a ton of personal hot pots just bubbling and boiling, and it's pretty much in your face. The whole restaurant is like that, so you would think maybe the AC would be higher to combat this? It was a bit weak, hopefully when you go it's nice and cold outside so you can enjoy some cold weather before coming back in to heat up. Otherwise if you're going in the summer, get ready to sweat a little (mixed in with those meat sweats). 6. Price? - This one is a bit different though I would say this would be weakest of the "negatives". It's pricey, and that's definitely expected considering the type of meats this place is offering and the wider array of dishes/seafood that they offer. I would say save this place for an special treat. I wouldn't get anything like the Diamond tier. I think if I were to come back again, I would only get the first or second tier because honestly you're not going to be able to eat a lot of wagyu. Now let's look at the positives. 1. The milk tea station? Yes. There's a milk tea station, and it's unlimited. Awesome. It's not super sweet, but you can sip on this while eating all of your food. Note though, with the milk tea it will fill you up quickly. While it's cool that it's there you can get super full super quick. 2. The ambiance of the inside with all of the smoke and environment was really neat. They installed these smoke vents in the middle of the restaurant so everything seemed to be pretty wispy and dark. It was a well designed restaurant with all of the decor and such. 3. The high quality meats. You're not going to think "huh, I wish they had x". They had all of it, and in wagyu form. If it's not Japanese wagyu, then they have it Australian wagyu or American wagyu. It was a bit bananas, however I think this place is a great option to see if you want to try or just try wagyu out in general if you have never had it. 4. The variety of different types of food. As I said, their menu was extensive. Along with your meats for hotpot, you can order small dishes. Wagyu nigiri,j curry rice, shrimp, seafood. There's a lot that you can try out instead of just going straight for meat. I think that is a big positive thing for customers that want something other than just meat. Overall, it was okay. Me personally, I don't think it was worth the hype. However, I still say you should come if you just want the experience and you can decide if it's for you or not. I always believe to try everything at least once before you make a decision about it. It didn't hit it for me, but it has captivated everyone else (as you can see the raving reviews)! So try Chubby Cattle out! read more

The food service and experience was unmatched just amazing. We were so stuffed by the time me were ready to leave.

Our experience was amazing!! Our server, Ryan L., was extremely helpful, polite, and attentive. He would always quickly assist us whenever we needed which provided a fantastic first impression. Their Golden Chicken Broth and Spicy Miso Broth both had a great taste, not too overpowering. They had a variety of drinks (milk tea, fruit juice, sodas, water, etc), vegetables (Napa Cabbage, Enoki Mushrooms, Wood Ear Mushrooms, etc), and meats to choose from (even in the basic set!). The atmosphere was cozy, warm, and welcoming, making us feel relaxed and comfortable. I love the details above the walls with the drawings of samurai's, it adds a nice touch to the background. Overall, the experience was delightful. I would definitely recommend this to other friends, relatives, and peers. read more

The god of cows looms over as you walk into the restaurant. A chic, trendy atmosphere surrounds you as you walk to your table, absorbing the sights. You sit down, ravenous as you peruse the menu. A high price point of $78, or 68$ if you're a member (which is an annual fee of $28, but you can use the discount on you and a plus one!). In this case? Well worth the high price. You order a soup base (sukiyaki is delicious) and your mouth waters as Japanese A5 Brisket is slammed on your table. Unlimited sauce bar, unlimited specialty dishes, fun drinks, and more. Not only that, you order off of an iPad and the food gets to you in a minute or two with their incredibly fast service. Racist, if you are white they will refuse a table. I asked the girl why she said they were closed but it was 2 hours before closing

I'm a fan of Chubby Cattle! It's pricy and there's limits on some of the AYCE options but service and quality, and the free assortment of drinks will have me coming back! They also have a couple of private rooms for bigger parties. The place gets pretty busy especially on weekends so expect a wait. They have a variety of combos/AYCE options you can choose from. The menu at first feels a bit overwhelming but menu photos are very eye catching. The meat quality and protein variety is nice. Something for everyone- seafood, wagyu, beef, pork, etc. You can also choose between 4 types of broth. I also enjoyed the wagyu bone marrow that comes with the sets. They have a sauce bar. It doesn't have any premade sauces. It would be awesome if they had some of that for sauce lovers like me but after a couple of visits I think I found the right combo for my dipping sauce there. They don't have a ton of variety of sauce bar toppings but some pretty good standard ones. They are located in the same shopping plaza as Teso and Sweet Hut. This is a good spot to bring out of town guests or for any dining experiences that is a more fancier experience and vibe. The service has been consistently good which I always appreciate. Definitely check it out if you've heard or not heard of the Chubby Cattle chain. Glad Atlanta finally got a Chubby Cattle location here. read more

An amazing establishment! The food quality for what you pay for is definitely worth the price. It is expensive but you're paying for quality wagyu beef. Our waitress Uri was the sweetest and kindest waitress that was so attentive to everything we needed. An absolute sweetheart. Atmosphere/service: located in a plaza so parking is available but can be tough when packed. Recommend your whole party to be present before being seated, they ask you when you enter as well because your time limit starts when you get your table and start ordering! Our server Jin was amazing, he walked us first timers through the menu and was attentive with our orders and questions. Food/price: AYCE for 90 minutes. The price differs based on what tier you choose, obviously the more expensive tiers have more options to choose from. Our table opted for the silver tier ($55/person non-members, $45/person for members), it came with: Broth: they do split bowls as well. Our table had 2 pots so we did 1 side sukiyaki and house broth and the other side sukiyaki and spicy miso. The sukiyaki has a slightly sweet subtle flavor and comes with a pasteurized egg for you to dip your meats into after being cooked in the broth. The spicy miso was a favorite, and the house broth was just okay. The highlight here is that we are focused on being able to taste the quality of the ingredients rather than being broth focused which was great! Specialty dish (one per person) - sweet shrimp (2), wagyu nigiri (2), wagyu bone marrow (1), wagyu tartare Premium Australian wagyu chuck ribeye Premium Australian wagyu brisket Premium Australian wagyu shoulder cut 1 seafood platter (abalone, shrimp, scallop, fish, crab legs) Vegetable bowl (kabocha, mushroom, cabbage, tofu) Other unlimited dishes: fry mini buns, fried gyoza, fried chicken bite, sweet potato fries, shrimp tempura, curry katsu rice, Japanese rice, minced wagyu over rice, wagyu beef curry rice, udon Self serve items: Drinks: they have a soda fountain, milk tea dispenser (they might use dairy creamer fyi), and a refrigerator of other drinks like juices and etc. Ice cream Sauce bar (also includes seaweed salad here!) The quality of the meats were great and you could really tell. Having experienced a wagyu Korean bbq place before and not being able to tell the difference in the meat quality, this place was apparent and vastly different. Our orders came out at a good pace and didn't feel slow and I loved the sweet shrimp specialty dish. The only con is the limited vegetable variety, it was definitely meat heavy! Would definitely recommend! read more
