My husband and I had an awesome experience as usual. We had an amazing server named Uri! She was pleasant attentive and on point with meat refills and helpful information. She was so happy and cheerful that it enhanced our dining experience. Chubby Cattle is so dang good! This has become our go to place for shabbu shabbu. The food and service were okie. Wait time wasn't too bad. We were seated within 10 mins of arriving to the restaurant. The ambiance was good. They're a a lot of drink selections. Fish that came with the seafood platter is a little smelly. I personally couldn't tell between the different wagyu meat since they're not labeled. Would have been nice if they were labeled which is which. I'm not sure if others experienced the same but I guess there were a lot of birthdays the day we went. they were singing happy birthday song every 10 mins at different table. It's not too dark that you can't see if your food is cooked. The speed in which your refills plates come out is truly dependent on how busy they are. As our first time here, I would give it a 10/10 for the overall experience and environment. The service was incredible. Our server, Fangting, was extremely attentive to our needs, yet she did not come across overbearing. She really made sure our experience was the best. I would give Fangting 5 stars. Came here a week ago for a family dinner. Tried the Chubby Cattle BBQ in California and was excited to try Chubby Cattle Shabu. The food was delicious and ambience was nice. Unfortunately, our waiter, Ricky, was unpleasant. Usually, most shabu restaurants have hot drops but customers would have to ask if it's available. Our waiter didn't know what hot drops were so I explained to him that they were like a chili oil drop people often add to their sauces to adjust to their spice level at shabu spots. He asked what shabu spots had them, I answered in California most shabu spots had them so I was just curious if they had them here. He told me "this is Georgia not California." He continued to ask me more questions like "are you from California" and "are you moving here?" At first, I thought these were innocent questions so I answered "we are from California but my family moved here so some of us are just visiting and not moving here." He then went on to say "good. You should just stay over there." I didn't answer because i was trying to process what he said and not jump to conclusions. However, he continued to say more under his breath where some of our group heard clearly "i dont care how expensive it is over there you should stay there we dont want your kind here." Then left after taking our orders. I kept thinking about what he said and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but the more we all thought about it and discussed about it, we felt disrespected. I wish I would've said something then and there but my meal was ruined and what he said left me in shock. I thought maybe it was my fault but I didn't see where along the lines was I rude to answering his questions. I feel Chubby Cattle should better train their staff on their customer service and the energy they give off because although my sisters didn't catch what he said to me, they said his service felt poor and that he gave off an unpleasant energy towards us from the moment we sat down. I think about chubby cattle once a day if I lived closer I would eat here every chance I get. I love this place!!! Everything is so fresh and delish. I have a membership and come about 2-3 times a month and it's so worth it! The milk tea drink fountain and drink options in the fridge might be one of my favorite things here. The sauce bar always has a great selection of condiments to make the perfect sauce to pair with your food. The seafood is sooooo fresh and the meat is so buttery and delicious. 10/10!! The bone marrow has me in a choke hold!! Omg it's soooo goood!!! Minor issues I've had is; one time my man was paying cash and the waiter went out her way to let him know to add a tip because when paying cash it doesn't prompt for a tip and just watched him count his $ (we are great tippers, appreciate great service, and didn't need the reminder). On this same visit I decided to buy a membership since we frequent here so much, and the waiter did not ask me for my information, prompting me to call back at a later time trying to explain who I was that bought a membership. On my most recent visit, the waiter wasn't attentive at all, not compared to other times, never asked if we needed more meat or clear table of empty trays when walking by, she spent most of her time behind the bar/drink fountain on her phone FaceTiming. In my past few visit, I also notice they've been out of oysters, first time, they replaced it with your choice of seafood, second time, they did not offer accommodation (I usually the gold set unless I want extra bone marrow ($6) Aside from this hiccups, service is usually really great! I really want to point out one of the girls who help clean the table (a younger Hispanic woman) who happens to be there every single time I visit no matter the time or day it seems like.
