Popular after-work spot that I only recently found. They have several drink specials on the menu, most of which are sized so you can feel comfortable having a couple and being safe too drive. They have outdoor seating which is popular on those occasional days Houston decides to gift us wIth nice weather. Indoors, they have plenty of seating, and my favorite part, a bunch of booths off to each side, which tend to be quieter and you can have a conversation without struggling to hear. This place has good bar food, don't come here expecting anything more than that. The bartenders are attentive and friendly. My fav is Jodi, she always takes care of my guests and I. Welp, the new manager sucks. HORRIBLE attitude! Didn't even come to the table to speak to me when there was an issue with the wings that I ordered. I came here on a slow day and ordered wings and a salad with a few mimosa's. When the wings were served, i took 2 bites and didn't like them and requested to switch them out for the southwestern wrap. Which is actually higher price wise compared to the wings! THE WINGS ARE NOT GOOD DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. When my sweet waitress informed me she'd have to ask management, I politely said thank you and waited patiently for the answer. When she came back to my table, she then informed me that the manager will not take off the wings and will be adding the southwestern wrap to my tab as well. I requested to speak to her manager and she was the absolute rudest, passive aggressive person & didn't even come to the table to help with the issue at hand. I noticed my waitress speaking to her while she was at the bar (literally two people were there and had already been helped and served) and she decided not to even come to the table to help. The kind and sweet waitress informed me that she will take off the wings and at that point I apologized to the waitress and asked for my check. I find it extremely upsetting that their manager wasn't able to come to my table to make me, a guest in this business establishment, feel more comfortable or to simply address the issue at hand personally. It's even more upsetting when I was a regular here :( I'm literally the sweetest person ever but how things were handled today was so upsetting. AND ON TOP OF THE RIDICULOUS TREATMENT! Quite possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. Our server took at least 20 minutes to do everything. Place was empty, dirty, flies everywhere. I ordered a cheese burger with fries, took 45 minutes and the ranch took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Awful craft beer selection and happy hour only applies to well-drinks and domestic beers. This would be a great place to spend a day watching sports. Lots of TV's, a game room, $5 shots, and great food! Our server Alex was great. I love when a waiter can joke with you. Buddy wanted to watch the Texans vs. Patriots comedy of errors, I mean playoff game, the other night for his birthday. I showed up late, but they warned me as soon as I sat down the service was terrible. Well, they were not wrong. I continuously had an empty beer and not by choice. I finally realized a little too late to order a new one when it was half full and I might get it in time. After a bit, I decided the chicken tenders looked really good, which they were. The fries on the other hand were as soggy as a wet sock. I had ordered BBQ sauce for my tenders, but he never brought it to me after being asked twice. He definitely forgot about us several times. Then we got to experience several tone deaf karaoke-ers at the end of our visit just to affirm it was time to leave. Will I be back? Not likely, unless I sat at the bar top where they cannot forget about you. Definitely would not order fries. We came here Thursday night to catch the Cowboys & Rockets game, eat and enjoy a few drinks. When we arrived we noticed how packed it was. The seating area outside was full of bikers, drinking and watching the game. The inside was even more packed & music blasting. We walked towards the bar area and was greeted by a waitress. She stated it's self-seat so we picked a booth near the corner to rid some of the noise from the main area. After we sat we were immediately brought menu's. This is definitely the spot if you want to catch a game, sit at the bar solo and have a few drinks or mingle with friends. The crowd was very mixed (in age and attire) & there were TV's coming from every angle! Thursday's is apparently the day a DJ was there and he was definitely bringing the tunes. There was a menu for food and drink specials. Thursday's drink specials was draft beer and regular-flavored margaritas with Avion tequila so we ordered those. To eat, I ordered the Acapulco chicken with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans while my friend ordered the chicken fried chicken with macaroni and mashed potatoes. Surprisingly, the food came out quick and was amazing! The seasoning was spot on and everything was hot and fresh. We also ordered a few shots (from the $3 menu) and those were great as well. Our waitress Michelle was excellent! She had lots of personality, gave suggestions and was very prompt in anything we needed/ordered. We went here for cinco de Mayo, knowing we was going to get alottt of tacos lol. I asked for a fried fish taco and 2 grilled shrimp. The server brought out 2 grilled shrimp and one grilled fish. With it being my first time there and the grilled only being $2 that day I said it was okay and I was willing to try it still but I still wanted to order the fried fish. The server came back and took the grilled fish back I guess they didn't want to give out a "free" $2 taco even though I said I can pay for it cause it don't hurt to try it, it's just $2!!! I went to this location last night with a party of at least 10 people. We had come for happy hour and I used yelp to get a free appetizer, which was basically a meal since I was also drinking. Their frozen margarita was a good size but it wasn't as strong as I hoped it would be. Happy hour specials on drinks were pretty good, food was better than I expected (shrimp quesadilla appetizer, chicken tenders, and 50 cent oysters on fridays), and service was awesome- our waitress was very attentive and nice. Went to Christians Tailgate for happy hour today and was actually very surprised at how much I enjoyed it there. First, our waitress was super nice and attentive, stopping by our table multiple times (because all the drinks were so cheap we didn't know what the heck we wanted half the time). Although it was busy, our drinks and food came quick, our two orders of tacos and a burger arriving in under 15 minutes. I had the shrimp tacos and they would've been just ordinary slap some shrimp on a tortilla with some iceberg and tomatoes if it wasn't for a tasty spicy mayo they used as a dressing. The Tuesday special of $1 tacos made them taste even better. And to sum it all up the atmosphere was just very casual and relaxed. If there's ever an awkward moment in the conversation at dinner, there's numerous TVs on the wall to look at. After rave reviews from some people I work with, a group of us went here for dinner/cocktails. (keep in mind this is with the people raving about this place) Everyone's intention was to have a beer or drink, get some grub and get back to our respective hotels. Well, we were there for 2.5 hours with some of the worst service ever. Not because the gals (one in training) waiting on us were rude... because they were SO inattentive and forgetful it was like we weren't there and we had a table of 10. I had to ask for water three times (while the trainee gal kept giving everyone water when they asked), after I ordered my initial beer -- I was never asked if I wanted another. Other people at the table ordered a second drink, which they had to remind the server several times to bring. The food - took FOREVER and we ordered salads and sandwiches! Some of the orders came out incorrectly. I ordered the shrimp salad on the recommendation of one of my colleagues. It is the ONLY reason this place is getting 2 stars and not 1 because it was delicious. The funny part was, his salad (he ordered the same thing) was forgotten and when they finally brought it out 45 minutes later when we were all done eating the shells were left on the shrimp. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best. The coleslaw was not chilled. Over all quality of food needs a lot of help at this establishment. My friend had a burger with onion rings. The burger was like road kill with tire marks. And tasted like like chewing on a tire. The onion rings were so greasy and cold. Would not eat them. Service is always extremely slow and the food has been subpar the few times I've had it - today I ordered fries and they looked like the bottom of the fry tray and were half burned. If it didn't take 15 minutes just to get a beer I probably would've sent them back but I didn't want to wait for the notoriously shitty service. Anyways, if you have low standards for your drinking establishments then go ahead and give this place a shot. If you are over the age of 21 and have any type of taste buds, go elsewhere. The Christians Tailgate family of burger joints has been a fave since having one of their cheeseburgers at the original location at Washington & I-10 (sadly now closed). This newer outpost is a far larger establishment than the ancestor and is a bit nicer, however it definitely retains a casual sports bar feel. All of the menu items you want are there. The best two are the Bacon bacon burger which has bacon ground up with the beef in addition to strips of bacon as a topping, and the Chili cheeseburger that is straightforward with only mayo as an included condiment (and that chili they use is great!). There's a lot of dark wood and countless TV screens with all the games playing all over the spacious eatery. read more

Even ordered potato skins thinking how could those be bad but they sucked too. They only good part of the meal was the Coke I ordered. We ate it only because we were hungry but it was all a total waste of $25. I should've complained about it but after working 14.5 hours I didn't want to bother & besides that no manager was even seen to complain to. On top of a total fail on the food, our waitress Donna was not very attentive. We had to wait for her entirely too long to come to our table to check on us. Tonight ordered tacos on flour and they brought out 4 on flour and four on corn(apparently ran out of tortillas), hardly any of the tacos had anything in them. Place went from having a good-looking bartender female and one or two decent looking waitresses to a guy with long hair behind the bar and a bar back, and a few waitresses(who weren't interested in greeting us or getting our drink order). Service no bueno here. New staff in here every time I come as well. Sad cause I used to come here a couple days a week cause it's on my way home. Loved wings on Monday and tacos on Tuesday and wrap Wednesday. I've been to the old location in Washington and the one in the Heights, so I figured this one is worth a try since it was so close to my parent's home. The margarita was super strong, like at their other locations. The long island was on the light side. We also ordered sliders. The burgers were good and definitely filling. The fries were average.
