In a follow-up visit he prescribed a new statin to which she had an allergic reaction and put her back in the ER. I don't usually leave reviews, but after four mishandled appointments, lost test results, and a complete lack of follow-through on promised care for my elderly father, I had to speak up. The staff repeatedly gave us incorrect appointment times, made us wait for hours, and then claimed we didn't show up rather than taking accountability for losing my father's stress test results -- twice -- and then never followed through on sending him a heart monitor they said was crucial. When I called to follow up, the office manager didn't even know what I was talking about. This wasn't just inconvenient -- it was negligent. They never took accountability nor contacted us to check on him, which only reinforced how careless and uninvested they were in their patients' well-being. We've filed a formal complaint with the Medical Board of California and have been assigned an analyst for further investigation. Patients deserve care that's organized, accountable, and safe -- not chaos. If you care about your time, your health, or your loved ones, I strongly recommend finding a different cardiologist. read more

I had an appointment for 11:30 am. Showed up at 11:15 am. The questionable service started when the front desk staff kept calling for a Christina... my name is Christian. I didn't think it was for me until the fourth time they called that name, and I decided to go up and see if it was an error in them reading the name. It was. I have waited an hour and a half after my appointment time to be seen. Not sure if it's a scheduling issue or what, but I'm taking time off of work to show up for this appointment and I frankly believe this long of a wait is excessive. Dr Chris has been my cardiologist for over a year now, I would say that he is one of the best cardiologist doctor out there. He is professional, kind,knowledgeable, and funny and really cares about his patients. Every time I have a doctors appointment with him, he makes me feel at ease and always takes times to answer my questions and give me good advice on my health. Both of them went out of their way to help me get approval for my MRI and MRA's with the insurance company. They call the insurance company as well as the hospital numerous times to make sure that they receive my paperwork so that I was able to schedule an appointment for my MRIs. They also call me back numerous times to let me know what was going on. I really like this doctor. However, the office staff are impossible to deal with. The doctor scheduled me for a test in October 2023. The office staff keeps cancelling and rescheduling that test. It's almost February 2025 and I still have not got the test. The last time I had an office visit, I waited in the waiting room over FOUR HOURS before seeing the doctor (I arrived a little before my appointment time). This lack of care can no longer be tolerated. I called the office today and told them that I getting a new doctor because this office does not care about patients. I have been going to this doctor in a while and noticed the service went down tremendously bad. First, wait is too long. At one point I waited almost two hours. Went in for appt. Many times on issues I was concern about. Straw that broke the camels back is when I was diagnosed with AFib by an ER doctor.: Doctor never diagnosed me with afib after all the visitations and holter twice. I ended up in the ER two weeks ago with AFib. This doctor switch my meds but not for AFib but for something else. I decided to give up on him as my care was not address properly and looked for another doctor. I still don't have any idea what happened to the second holter test I got sometime in October. My husband went to Huntington Memorial Hospital in May 2021. Dr. Chris watched him take a stress test. Later gave him an angiogram which showed his arteries were fine, but there appeared to be a severe regurgitation of his tricuspid valve. We ended up waiting for an MRI, because his office did not submit the request in a timely manner. No one seemed to be in a hurry (not only Dr. Chris but the place my husband went for the MRI). He wanted to confirm the diagnosis of Ebstein's Anomaly (which it turned out not to be). The whole experience taught us to advocate for him. Dr. Chris is a nice guy, but frankly he did not know what was wrong with my husband (and the help we received when my husband had shortness of breath was to get oxygen from Big 5). My husband after surgery through a different hospital system is now awaiting a heart transplant. read more

I can't speak for the Dr. I never had the opportunity to meet him. I had to file a formal grievance today. I was in the E.R over a week ago for palpitations and a abnormal EKG it took a week to get my authorization so I called last Friday morning as soon as they opened for a appointment , the receptionist told me the scheduler would be calling me for a appointment. I waited all day with no call back! So I called first thing Monday morning and the girl told me she forgot to put my telephone number on the chart and someone would call me back AGAIN no call back. I have worked in the medical field for 17 years. I have never left a chart without s telephone number or told a person they would get a appointment and never call them back!!so unprofessional ! Horrible service. Employees don't care about their patients. and you have to wait FOREVER. Never mind an appointment. It'll be a one hour wait as long as you make a few complaints. If you call, you get a message saying "your call is important to us, stay on the line....la la la" The last three times I called, I waited 10 minutes for an answer. I finally just hung up. My husband ended up in the hospital and rehab for 6 weeks after a year of treatment by Dr Chris with the "VenaSeal vein closure using intravenous adhesive agent". Dr Chris kept saying all going well, even on the Monday before I called the Paramedics on Sunday. So far, the hospital and rehab bill is over $120,000.00 with more to be added. He saved my husband's life. How do you rate that? For two years a different cardiologist had misdiagnosed (non-diagnosed?) my husband's problem and simply prescribed huge doses of beta-blockers, watching my husband's condition deteriorate. When that "doctor" moved away my husband chose Dr. Chris because his office was close. Dr. Chris immediately diagnosed a bad valve and arranged for the proper surgery by the leading valve replacement surgeon. Nothing but up from then on. Personally, Dr. Chris is one of the most engaging people I've ever met. I will not complain about the wait time -- he spends the time needed, ignoring the standard 15-minutes-per-patient maximum, which results in delays. Bring a book or your knitting. I've been worked with many MD's and I find Dr. Chris very knowledgeable. He is caring and compassionate and I have referred least 4 family members to him. The staff at his office are very nice. The only thing I don't like is the wait time. Despite having a set appt. time, you are usually seen by him about 1 hr. later. Dr. Chris and his office are fantastic, had my initial visit to establish a relationship as my GP, I had several things that had been bugging me (some for months, some for years) that previous doctors were either unable or unwilling to address and Dr. Chris was not only able to understand my complaints about all of them but had substantial, effective processes and responses to address them, great staff who are knowledgeable and friendly, great use of technology not just to schedule appointments but to also display in-office test results with related medical examples and treatment histories, clean, orderly office, seemingly older patient base (he is a cardiologist after all) but felt nonetheless approachable for a 28 yr old like myself (young staff, use of tech, magazine selection, etc), great experience all around, looking forward to a long and positive medical relationship here. read more

Dr. Chris is an outstanding listener, communicator, diagnostician, and problem solver. He approaches issues evaluating risk versus benefit of a given procedure, and is a wonderfully kind man. What's more, he seems to come up with solutions to medical issues that have escaped other doctors. It's taken me years to find a cardiologist this good. Dr. Chris is the BEST doctor ever. I had been seeing my previous cardiologist for 12 years, and was experiencing a lot of pain. He referred me to a therapist, and had zero interest in trying to figure out what was wrong. It took me a year to get the courage to find a new doctor, and within 2 months, Dr. Chris figured out what was wrong and changed my medication. I feel better now than I have in 12 years. His staff are extremely kind, and I have never had to wait an extended amount of time for my appointment. Even if I did, I would not mind- he is THAT worth it.
