Doctor Poladian is never available. You will always see a nurse practitioner. When you call they NEVER answer but you come in and they are all sitting around not on the phone. Returned calls are 2 days later not 24 hours. Appointments are months in advance even tho you won't see the doctor. Now they want to charge you a yearly "membership fee" of $250. See below for email sent. That's insane! These doctor just want your money and insurance money. I left this place for another doctor that's available and the office answers their phone. Beginning February 1, 2026, our practice will implement an annual administrative fee of $250 per calendar year to help offset the cost of certain non-clinical and non-covered administrative services that are not reimbursed by insurance plans. read more

I see there are many positive experiences here, but mine is not one of them. I write this review so that the next patient should be aware that not all patients have had good experiences. I have never met Dr. Poladian, but I was seen by her nurse practitioner for three years. I have never written a negative review; this review describes my experience as "could've been better." Unlike all other caregivers I have been to, the office makes you come in for a complete physical and give blood after the physical (which means that you will be charged again to discuss the blood work). This struck me as unnecessary, capitalistic, and insensitive to a patient such as myself who has a high deductible. The doctor earns extra money out of my pocket, not the insurance company. Recently, I had tried to schedule a teleconference after bloodwork was delivered and was told the doctor would call me when she had free time (even though I had never met Dr. Poladian). I tried to schedule something more definite, but was assured this was what the doctor wanted. I waited two days with no call and then was told that I needed to come in for an in-person visit because the doctor was having difficulty getting in touch with me. I am a busy professional who does not need to waste valuable time commuting to a doctor's office to be charged for a conversation that could easily take place online. I assume the in-person visit is more expensive? My new primary care physician raised more concerns about the care I had gotten. For example, although I have been on generic synthroid for years, my last bloodwork did not include a free T4 test, which is standard information needed to treat patients with hypothyroidism. He also questioned their decision not to start me on cholesterol medication. read more

I've been a patient for about two years, and my overall experience has been pretty annoying. Every visit, I'm hit with consistently long wait times. Even when I arrive exactly on time for my appointment and no one else is in the waiting room, I'll still have to wait a ridiculously long time. One time, I was waiting so long, I almost fell asleep. Plus, trying to get anyone to answer the phone is a gamble. Whenever I call, I'll be stuck on hold for 5 mins at a time before the system ends the call and I just have to try again later. It's super frustrating as a patient. During my time, I've never even met Dr. Poladian, who is supposed to be my primary care physician whenever other offices ask for my health information. Instead, I've only met with other doctors, nurses, and technicians during my visits. While not necessarily a bad thing, it's weird to have never met my designated PCP. Another issue is the limited number of vaccines offered. They seem to only provide the flu vaccine, and for any other vaccines, they've just told me to go get it done at a pharmacy like CVS. Honestly, it seems like they primarily focus on just annual physicals and flu vaccinations. For all other health concerns I've raised during my visits, the doctors have just told me I have to go somewhere else, even for relatively simple issues that my past PCP's have been able to address. Super frustrating to go to a doctor to get general health concerns addressed and then they just point you to other offices that you'll have to visit. To make things worse, they once gave me a misdiagnosis during a visit and advised me to find a specialist. When I went to the specialist to get it checked out, they diagnosed me properly and performed a very simple solution (something the doctor could have done), before tacking on a large bill on me. While the specialist's billing isn't directly their fault (besides recommending I go there in the first place), to have the doctor incorrectly diagnose me doesn't instill confidence. Lastly, parking here is paid and street parking is pretty much unavailable unless you get really lucky. The parking fee is capped at $10, but for just one or two visits a year, it's not really a big deal. I can't really recommend this office because of the overall inconvenience of the entire experience. Visiting the doctor is already a hassle, and this office makes it even more challenging. In the future, I won't return to this office. I think switching to a different PCP would be a more convenient and better choice for my healthcare needs. read more

Beware, I got fired by doctor Poladian for complaining about her lack of availability: I have been seeing doctor Poladian for 7 years and have met her only 3 times in person. She has a team of nurses she hides behind to provide most of her services. Despite many attempts to see an actual doctor I was consistently deferred to her nurses. Here is the tipping point. I came back from Costa Rica with a concerning foot infection picked up in a river. I did a dose of strong antibiotics in Costa Rica but the problem persisted. I asked to make an appointment and the doctor and they said that it would be weeks out or I could see an RN. I took the only real option offered. The RN was out of her league and inexperience on my issue. She asked to leave the room to research some antibiotics and came back with a recommendation for 2 very different and very extreme doses. I asked her if she consulted with the doctor and she said that she would. I all seemed very fishy. After the doses there was still a big lump in my foot and I was recommended to do imaging (also by a nurse). I went and got the imaging right away and then was told the doctor would get the results the next day and contact me. I waited for the doctor to reach back to me which took a week. All the while my foot remained swollen Here is what she wrote "I recommend urgent re-evaluation of your condition based on the imaging results that I received. You may be required to see a specialist and take more medications." That was the last straw so I wrote her this: "Your office staff said I could not see you till next Thursday which is crazy. It is also totally unprofessional to take almost a week to get back to me when the matter is so urgent. You need to prioritize your patients and being in the office and not hiding behind your nurse practitioners. I have yet to see you for this and the advice I have gotten from your staff has been wrong and misguided. " I went to urgent care to see a real doctor with my imaging results. The urgent care doctor was really clear. She said there is swelling but no heat. There is inflammation but no redness. She thought that that would rule out an infection. She recommended that I wait to see if the swelling goes down on its own and not do more antibiotics. Had I been able to see a doctor in the first place I may have gotten a different diagnosis. Had Poladian seen me in person she probably would have come to the same evidence-based clinical conclusion she would not have sent me to do imaging, take extreem doses of antibiotics and then refer me to a specialist. All these recommendations were done remote. Funny enough while I was in the waiting room at the urgent care I got this email from Poladian. "You need to prioritize your patients and being in the office and not hiding behind your nurse practitioners. I find this statement extremely unprofessional and rude, when you don't know how a physician's day is structured to provide patient care in office and outside office. It is not your place to judge physician's schedule and prioritizing skills without spending a day in his/her shoes. Instead of appreciating the fact that the office is open and operating full time rather than having limited hours when the provider you want to see is rounding outside the office, you are calling it "hiding behind your nurse practitioners". Your expressions are not only wrong but very bilious and outside the boundaries of patient-provider ethics. I don't understand all the reasons for these assumptions and rudeness, but this type of language from a patient is an indication of a patient-doctor relationship that is no longer working." I was stunned by her lack of empathy and awareness of the problem of her availability to patients, so I then wrote her an email quoting some of the reviews here on Yelp and other review sites and she sent me a certified letter firing me from her practice. Can I really consider her to be my doctor when I've never even met her ONCE in the two years that she's been our familys doctor? I don't even know what she looks like! That how far removed she is from her patients. Even if you REQUEST to see her, the staff will tell you it's not possible. This doctors office is a complete joke. They're efficient enough to order standard blood test and to do annual exams with her PA. The staff is friendly enough to keep them going. But God forbid you ever need a real doctor to address an actual medical problem, they are NOT equipped to do that. My husband has been experiencing severe pain for almost 2 months now and every single specialist he has seen was because we did our own research. Dr.Poladian STILL hasn't met with us once and we've been to the urgent care and emergency room multiple times for the source of the pain. Countless X-rays, Ct scans and MRIs and not a SINGLE doctor was referred by Dr.Poladian. Not even a follow up call. I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere if you want quality care and want a doctor that actually knows you and/or even pretends to care. Great doctor, terrific first two years of care. Dr. Poladian helped me through some rough patches. Insomnia (turned out I have sleep apnea, APAP machine was first step and eventually we found Quvivik works to help me through the night without side effects -- lots of trial and error to get there, Dr. Poladian was great). Covid. Joint pain. Various other ailments. Always great to speak with. Always followed up. Got things done. I discovered that it was best if someone at her clinic answered the phone; leaving a message for her staff has a high failure rate. Often, I wouldn't hear back at all when I left a message asking for an appointment or follow-up. So I learned to just call again. No big deal. When I spoke to her staff about problems of any sort, though (prescriptions needing filing, referrals or medical records not going through), they would become patronizing. Again, no big deal. Care is still being provided. She even helped when I needed a urologist -- urgently -- and was unable to get an appointment. She fixed it. That day. Now, I've been dealing with testicular pain for a few weeks. It's getting worse, not better, and all tests have been mostly normal. Nothing that would account for this level of pain. Huntington ER was very considerate, empathetic, and provided great initial care, but there wasn't much else they could do besides manage pain and do an ultrasound. Urologists have been stumped. Recommendations have been to see a Rheumatologist, but I can't get through to one. Keck rheumatology is utterly unresponsive. Zero contact after many requests. This week, with pain getting worse not better, I ended up back at the ER again (Verdugo this time). Nurses were great, doctor was not. After another unremarkable sonogram (just some hydroceles?), the response was "Looking for help from the hospital? Not going to get that with these labs. Here, have some morphine -- go talk to your doctor." So I called the office from the ER. Me: "Hi, I'm calling from the ER -- would you ask the doctor to call me when she can, please? When this morphine wears off I'm going to be in trouble." Clerk: "Let me check the schedule... (five minutes pass) The first available appointment is in 3 weeks. Would you like to book that now?" Me: "Did you miss the part where I'm at the emergency room? I really need to talk with her sooner than that. Can the doctor call me for a short discussion?" Clerk: "That's called an appointment. We have one in 3 weeks. Do you want it?" A long discussion followed, me still at the ER on morphine and getting increasingly frustrated, about gatekeeping and people doing their jobs. No offer to pass a message, no help whatsoever. So I wrote a 1-star review about the staff, hoping to hear back from Dr. Poladian. I haven't. I called and asked the staff (very politely) for a message to be delivered, asking her to call me regarding ongoing care. Crickets. Left a message on Dr. Poladian's pager. No response. So here we are -- ghosted after two years, in the middle of a health crisis that has left me unable to sit normally or walk without pain, unable to work without the constant distraction of pain, and with no idea of next steps to get it figured out. I don't know if she has any idea how little empathy some (one?) on her staff can display. I wish the outcome was different. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Poladian for several years now. And even with my complicated and complex medical issues, the office always makes it a point to make sure I can get a timely follow up appointment to make sure Al my needs are met. Dr. Poladian herself is friendly and personable, and never seems in any rush. Yes, it's true that if is it is a basic appt, follow up on labs, hospitalization, etc you may end up seeingone of NPs, however I've had a great experience with all that I have met and they're very knowledgeable as well! For more complex maters they're make sure you are seen by Dr. Poladian herself and she's always ready to answer any questions you may have or give you recommendations or referrals. The girls in the office and front desk are really friendly and ready to help too! Only concern I have is that they don't always answer the phones in a timely matter, but they've gotta so much better at calling me back asap when I leave a voicemail! read more

Dr. Poladian and her staff of nurse practitioners is where I get my annual physical checks and general health needs taken care of. All the practitioners have excellent bedside manner, take time to cover all concerns/questions/needs, and are extremely knowledgeable. They take every little health change seriously and always thoroughly addresses the issues that are raised. Even if the appointment is with the nurse practitioner and not the doctor, you are still in excellent hands. Appointments are not the easiest to get but have gotten better (I skipped my physical last year because I called 3 separate times and was told they're booked 4 months out), but I can understand since they are meticulous. I would much rather have fewer high quality visit than one that's rushed and low quality. This year has improved as I was able to get an appointment within a month. If you're having a medical emergency you should go to urgent care or ER anyways, as they are not an urgent care center. Also I noticed they will bring you in, just to get money from your insurance. They overcharged couple times as well. Also will charge you, if you do not cancel your appointment 48 hour prior. Ever since Dr. Poladian became my physician, I am confident and assured my health is in the best hands. She gives thorough recommendation and analysis of all medical history and issues. But, I am grateful to have a doctor and office who warrant good advice, listen and help when I need navigation. I am relatively young but have various chronic and complicated health conditions, and I chose Dr. Poladian as my primary care physician (no easy task :) because she came highly recommended - and let me say, I cannot recommend her highly enough. The receptionists and nurses are nice, great even, but the actual appointments are not a welcoming environment. I'd over look it if they validated parking but NOPE. You have to park at the parking garage that is always full so it takes a good five minutes to find a spot at the very top, another five minutes to get to the office and then you have five minutes left of the free fifteen the garage gives you. How hard is it to validate?? There's even a machine patients can use in the lobby. Why make a medical visit harder than it already is? read more

I've seen many similar reviews so I don't think my problem is unique. I tried to make an appt. with the Dr. to establish new primary care but was told that she only saw complex patients (I promise you that my medical records are incredibly complex) but only got to see the NP. She seemed engaged and attentive. I told her about a medication I wanted to try and she said she wanted to run a bunch of tests first. So I did. Then we have a follow tel-appointment. They won't tell me whether it's on the internet or what. I guess it was just a phone call. I waited a long time before the NP called me back . I then asked again about the medication. A month later, I'm still asking - two phone calls, an email. They don't answer during normal hours. The machine says they'll get back in a business day. Still waiting. It's been months and I can't get what I need or even respectful communication. I guess I'll keep looking for a decent GP. read more

I wrote a scathing review of Dr. Poladian's staff a few days ago, however I have a head injury which causes severe emotionally labile reactions. It was my failing and not Dr. Poladian's staff. My interactions with them are always pleasant, and they are extremely helpful. I am sorry that I was not able to maintain composure and it was due to an injury and not an intentional poor rating on such a wonderful office staff. Hold times can be a bit lengthy, but I believe this reflects the time they take with patients who are calling in already, and they are always busy because of the excellent service they provide. read more

She was everything I look for in a doctor-- attentive, not rushed, truly taking in the info I gave her and explaining things along the way. Dr. Poladian, please train your staff. I'm sure you are an excellent doctor, but the first interaction the public has before they are in your capable hands is with your inept and incapable office staff. My review of my experience is as follows: THE OFFICE STAFF IS TERRIBLE. Upon calling to make an appointment with Dr. Poladian, I asked whether they take my PPO insurance. I was told by her staff that they do, so I made an appointment. The day of my appointment, I called my insurance just to check and they were not able to find Dr. Poladian in their system. In order to double check, they asked me for the doctors NPI #. I called Dr. Poladian's office to ask for the NPI # and was told that NPI #s are confidential and only used by the doctor for billing. Every question that I asked the poor girl on the phone was relayed by her to the person who was in the office with her, then the answer was repeated back to me by the girl on the phone. I asked whether they would call my insurance and provide them with the number and they refused. They said I have to call my insurance and ask them to call the doctor's office. So, I called my insurance, again, and the insurance rep told me that NPI #'s are public record and are all listed on hippaspace.com. Surprise surprise, there was Dr. Poladian's NPI number listed on the internet as public information. In case anyone else needs to deal with her inept office staff, her NPI # is 1629239892. My insurance was able to verify that Dr. Poladian is in fact NOT covered by my insurance. The silver lining, if her office staff is not even capable of verifying my insurance, lord knows how bad they would have messed up the billing. On to finding a capable doctor with a staff that knows what they are doing. read more
