It's too bad this isn't better. It's a great idea, and I would love to be able to get a healthy salad nearby and sit outside to eat it. The problems are that the service is pretty slow, and the toppings all look kind of gross and dirty. The salad comes out just so so, with most of the stuff at the bottom. I think the way the toppings are kept is just very unappetizing and unappealing. It (the food itself) should look newer and cleaner and fresher. That's my biggest gripe. read more

for the record, my family gives it a five-star. My experience was as follows; the salad was not what I expected, but in all fairness I didn't read the ingredients carefully. I expected the traditional Chinese chicken salad like the ones at California Pizza kitchen. also I did not think the chicken was that great and it wasn't a lot of it. It had broccoli which I thought was really weird and I don't think it had mandarin oranges or tangerines. Not nearly enough dressing The person who was helping me was definitely not enthusiastic about his job that day. It came across. And then when I asked him for like a bag or something, he just pointing and Said "over there". I think I ordered a different salad or did a custom salad and my experience would've been better. A good salad spot with outdoor seating. A good spot to people watch. There may be a small wait but that is because it is a great spot for salad. Ariana took care of my salad order and was very nice. Service 8/10 The salad is good but it lost its flair a bit because of COVID. You used to see them chop everything in front of you. Now they have everything already chopped and thrown together. It's not a good thing when you want your spinach chopped up so you can see all your elements in one view. I hope they bring back the chopping stations now that COVID is officially over. I had no idea this location was here! I'm glad it is because it is about a 15 minute drive from my house. The store itself was the largest Chopt I've ever been into. It was very clean and organized. There was an associate cleaning and wiping down the counters as I approached. Our server wasn't the friendliest but the weather is blah and I'm not really in a social mood so it didn't bother me lol. It was my moms first time there so she was trying to figure out how it worked and wasn't moving quickly, our server seemed annoyed it was taking my mom a while to choose her toppings but there wasn't anyone else in the store or behind us, so I'm not sure why. The cashier who took our payment was SUPER bubbly, smiling and outgoing. I was able to have a conversation with her about the store and how beautiful it was. She informed me the store has been opened since 2017, which makes me feel crazy for not knowing it was there!! Kudos to her for being so sweet, it made me smile. As far as Chopt overall- I feel like the quality is going downhill and isn't the same. I remember going there summers ago and getting bowls that were SO large, I couldn't even finish half. The bowls are noticeably smaller and it seems the quality of the ingredients aren't how they used to be. I remember always getting chunks of pepper jack cheese & that is what I loved about coming here, it was different than the other salad places who use shredded. When visiting today, all I saw was shredded cheese. *sigh* I feel like this is due to the prices of everything being SO crazy right now but if the prices of ingredients are going up so they are getting lower quality items, the salad bowl prices should reflect that. 3 salads cost me basically $40 today. I know they have always been pricey but for a smaller bowl and cheaper ingredients.... the math aint mathing! LOL I don't mind spending money on places I enjoy, and I really do enjoy Chopt but that was the Chopt that felt worth it and what I ate today, did not seem it to me. read more

Years ago, there was a Chopt right across the street from my office and I fell in love with it as the perfect spot for a healthy lunch in between meetings. I will say up front, they are expensive. You can definitely find cheaper salads elsewhere. And frankly at the end of the day, they don't do anything all that special. But I always enjoy my salad when I come here so I can't fault them. This restaurant is conveniently located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Inside is clean with lots of seating, both booths and regular tables. They also have a bunch of outdoor seating. The staff were eager to help customers. They offer signature salads, which they change out periodically, as well as warm bowls that you can get with cauliflower rice. I always create my own salad. Look out for the number of toppings that are included with this custom salad. They charge for extras and it can add up fast. In terms of toppings, they have just about everything you'd want and more. One of my personal favorites is the Mama Lil's spicy peppers. They have a nice, tangy pickled spice to them. The main reason I love this place is the Mexican Caesar dressing. Truly, I could put this dressing on any combination of vegetables and it would taste fantastic. It is spicy and smoky and really elevates a salad. It's a must try. I also love that they thoroughly hand toss your salad with the dressing of your choosing (unless you get it on the side) so that the salad is evenly coated. Every salad comes with a free piece of bread. I used to love the whole wheat pita bread they served with their salads but they now have a white, crusty bread that is nowhere near as good. All in all, expect to get a salad here that is high quality, fresh tasting, probably more expensive than you'd want to pay, but still delicious and relatively healthy as far as fast food goes. read more

Right now they are running late again, so let's see how long this goes before they put my order on the pickup shelf. This is my second review for this place, I complained the first time that the salad wasn't chopped like when they first opened up and I was told that I have to request that. Now today I ordered online and went to pick it up, the salad bowl was on the shelf and not bagged and no bread even though I asked for bread. Never coming back to this location, i love chopt and how big the portions are, this location gave me half salads plus no proteins in it. The person was non attentive, did not ask me if I wanted any protein. I asked for no spicy in my kids salad and she put spicy in it. Horrible service, we are a family of 5 and upon being helped we were thrown between different people helping us, all to end up having several customers that were in line after us being helped and served while we were still waiting to finish our order. Upon letting them know that our food is sitting there and everyone else is being helped, their response was, "that's how we do things here." Very disappointing and will def never return. read more

Ever since this Chopt has gone to pick up only they have consistency screwed up my orders. They have put incorrect items or outright missed them in my orders, I have asked for add ons which have been ignored in every order the last three times, and most recently I asked for a wrap but was given a salad. When they took it back and made it into a wrap, there was a significant amount of salad missing AND the salad that was supposed to have extra chicken was again made normally. The entire time I was waiting for my order to be remade, there were several full blown conversations going on amongst the staff. Maybe they should concentrate on what they're doing instead. The Scarsdale Chopt cannot compare to the Dobbs Ferry eating place. Service and portions are ok. I had the warm Harvest salad and could not find the brussel sprouts as "pictured." My husband had the Korean salad and it was a joke. His salad barely made it to 3/4 of the bowl. Back in October 2018, when I went to Chopt in Dobbs Ferry was much better service and portions were ample and tasty. This was not the case in Scarsdale..... Will not return here. Also, they don't even bother to give you a receipt. So watch what you pay for!!!! read more

My sister and I stopped by, on error. And had a terrific experience. My sister had been wanting a salad, ( although she hates salad), and this was the perfect place. She had the seasonal thai chicken salad and I had the delicious green curry Turkey meatball grain bowl. It was delicious!!!! The beautiful and attentive Anna Rosa made our meals and served them with a smile. She was kind and even asked if we enjoyed ourselves. This is where we will come more often. Ugh. Avoid this place. They mess up orders & have atrocious customer service. 1. I ordered a Carolina grain bowl with grilled chicken, which sounded delicious. The girl who took my order gave me a piece of paper and told me to go pay, which I did, and I got a drink. 2. Then another girl behind the counter brought my salad to the register. I noticed there wasn't any chicken in it, and so they went back to add grilled chicken. They couldn't close the lid so they added a bunch of rubber bands so the lid wouldn't fly off & let the salad fall out. 3. I got home, and realized there wasn't any salad dressing on it. Not very tasty without dressing.... I called the location to explain what happened, and they transferred me to Mika (SP?), the manager. She was so crazy rude to me. No apologies or anything. She immediately said "WELL, YOU NEED TO TELL THEM TO ADD DRESSING! YOU DIDN'T STAND THERE TO TELL ANYONE TO ADD DRESSING!" Are you kidding me? Is this really how you talk to customers? Seriously atrocious. I would be horrified if I knew my employees/managers talked to paying customers like this. And not that it matters, but the girl behind the counter TOLD ME TO GO PAY, not continue standing there. It doesn't excuse the way she spoke to me though. And also, if you notice customers never said to put dressing on it, TELL THE CUSTOMER AND BRING IT UP TO THEM! The service here is terrible. They mess up my order every single time. It takes the workers 15 mins to get me a salad even when there is no line. The workers do absolutely nothing they don't even try to look busy. I ask for light dressing and my salad ends up drenched every single time. I have the Chopt app and have found it useful so that I have not had to stand there for 20 minutes waiting for a couple of customers ahead of me to get salads. Most staff is very slow and completely unconnected to the customer at the Scarsdale location. Unfortunately, the last 2 times I ordered Chicken Caesar Salad on line and did not watch them actually make it, there was no chicken the first time and 3 tiny cubes of chicken the second time. Leads me to wonder if this is intentional? Certainly one cannot check for presence of the protein expensive part of the salad until you get it home and start eating it. Will be going to Metro deli in the future. More expensive but you get what you pay for. read more
