I go to Chopt because I truly like to eat chopped salads. The food is adequate, but I've been to many Chopt locations before and my review is based on customer service. The Greenwich location is awful for customer service. It's a bunch of unfriendly teenagers or young adults at this location. They are rude and ignore you while you're trying to order. Every single time I go in there, and I've gone in there many times, they talk and laugh while you're just standing there waiting. They have poor attitudes and make it seem like they're doing you a favor. I really like the food that Chopt serves, but they need to hire nicer staff at the Greenwich location. This is my very first review and I specifically joined Yelp to post this. So, as much as I hate doing this, the experience sucks so much, I've decided not to return to this location again. I am beyond disappointed, no matter how many times i have given then the benefit of the double something always goes wrong. I would consider myself a regular, i come in at least twice during the work week. The amount of times i have confirmed with them they are using the right dressing etc, they mess it up! how do you mess up a kale caesar salad with grilled chicken? I unfortunately don't think i will be able to eat here anymore. The other disappointing thing about Chopt is now they wont ACTUALLY CHOP my salad. I loved Chopt, the place is great and fast, you can order ahead. I was eating here probably every other week. However I started to notice I got sick EVERY SINGLE TIME. I changed up my order and starting getting something completely different and it still happened! I tried googling the salad dressing ingredients and CANNOT find a list of ingredients, only allergen information. Chopt - what is in your dressing? I personally love this restaurant. My favorite thing to do there is where you can make your own salad with any lettuce, ingredients or dressing. There are many places to sit or hang out at the restaurant. You may even take it with you! Also, most of the time, you may receive bread on top of your salad to make your salad into a burrito! Food is great, but service is crazy slow. I've eaten at a bunch of these and I've never been to one this slow before. There was a backup of seven salads to be chopped and only one person doing the chopping, with at least three other employees standing around cleaning and sweeping the floor. So this used to be my favorite lunch spot. I first went to the one in rye and never had an issue. Lately it seems like the Greenwich location can't handle the volume. Two weeks ago we ordered in the app at work and they got the lettuce wrong in my coworkers salad. I called and they gave me a free salad for next time. Than last week we went and there was hardly anything mixed in the salad. I paid for double Shrimp and was given 4 scrimp not Chopt up inside. Than today I wNt and I noticed some wilted pieces in the salad before it was Chopt. I said something and they insisted it was Chopt this morning. That may be but does not mean the head was fresh. I am getting tired of paying $11 for a salad and having issues. If it continues I am going to stop going there altogether. read more

This has to be BY FAR the most unprofessional establishment I have ever dealt with. After being charged 3x for one salad, I was told i was going to be refunded and was instead charged the refund amount, again. Upon calling i was hung up on, laughed at, cursed at, and best of all charged AGAIN in an attempt to be refunded. Every person I spoke to claim to be the manager yet said they did not have refund capabilities, David was the employee hanging up on and swearing at me. When I did finally reach the manager Shannon she asked me to call her on Monday so it can be resolved, when I called Monday, IT WAS SHANNON'S DAY OFF. Terrible service! They have these young girls working at the register who have no idea what customer service is ! They are overwhelmed with too many customers and are not trained to keep up with the pace! The most rude person left the register in the middle of the transaction to another girl who was answering phones and giving out takeout orders over the phone! There were at least 10 people in line waiting to be checked out and she just left! All the employees looked miserable and overwhelmed! Got olives with pits in my salads, while the olives are supposed to be pitted, and almost broke my teeth. This is not the first time I get pits in my olives. I like this place. The last time I went though they put chicken on my salad that isn't supposed to have chicken. I noticed it when they dumped the salad out onto the chopping board. When I asked if it was chicken he said yes, and I said oh I don't want chicken. The salads are pretty good, but they just CANNOT seem to get the orders correct for delivery. Our company ordered from them multiple times and EVERY single time the orders were screwed up. We even have the person on the phone repeat the orders to to us and still they screw up. It's a running joke around the office. I believe this location only opened last week so I will try it again. I've been going to other locations and I don't believe Greenwich was up to par. The salad toppings were sparse on my salad, especially the meat. The toppings were adequately chopped but the lettuce was not. I am giving Chop't 5 stars for the quality of their food. Yes, the service could be uneven and people struggle with making wraps but it is the best salad in Greenwich. In the summer this is the best take out option - personally, I do not care for half-dead giant lettuce one usually finds at other locations. Nor do I want to eat pizza (or cook) when it is 85 degrees and 90% humidity. Also, for reviewers who were expecting Michelin star service at a minimum wage fast food joint, be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle. Only been here a handful of times and have never had an enjoyable experience. Gave in and went with my husband today (he loves salads) and somehow I ended up being the unlucky one with a very long thick black hair sticking out of my salad. I luckily noticed it before they chopped it up into a ton of small hair bits.
