He ended up putting the dressing my husband asked for on my sandwich, but we were in a hurry to drop our bags at our hotel & get to a show we had already bought tickets for (our train arrived 30min later than planned). Super friendly place but unfortunately, their actual food misses the mark. Just go in knowing that you will have to watch very closely what they put in and check your food (even if take out). We've gone 3 times and had truly non-edible food 2 times. One of those times was with their grains (as a base) and the grains were hard as marbles. They even sounded like marbles, when we dropped them on the table. Other time was their use of dressing / very heavy handed. I went here for lunch with my friends when visiting a friend who lives in Stamford. The place is large nd has a lot of seating. It was really clean. I take away one star because of service. There was a line of 10 people and the workers were super slow and really bad at moving the line. Also, my friend asked for a water and they don't sell bottled water. The person at the register didn't even offer her a cup. I saw a place she could get water from so I had to ask if she could get a cup. I take away another star as I have been to chopt in NYC and felt that this one was more expensive. $15 for a salad from here. What? This is a place people want to go to for an affordable lunch. My friend and I stopped by this Chopt location (10/03/21 at 2:30pm) to grab a bite on our way back from Harlem. I got a relatively simple salad with no protein except avocado. My friend got a loaded salad which included shrimp. We got home and started eating and she noted that the shrimp tasted funny and the salad tasted like shrimp water. Well that was the most unsatisfying salad We ever ate. We got the Orchard. It looked like a bowl of green confetti. The apples and chicken were 1/4" little chunks and sparsely sprinkled in the salad....as in there was barely anything in this salad beside chopped lettuce much of which was browning with a touch of slime. I got honey dijon dressing. Im still not sure if there was any dressing on it because all I tasted was bitter lettuce. We were not getting or seeing any goat cheese but then we both find one lump toward the middle of the salad. We stopped half way through they were so bad and grabbed the bread.
