We ate here last night on their patio. We have never been to Craft'd (although after reading the other reviews I think I should put it on our list), but knew about it because we used to go to the restaurant that was there before. We ordered cocktails, beer, and wine to drink. It was all good, although the beer could have been colder. To eat, two of us got the Chop'd burger, one had a build your own pizza with sausage and pepperoni, and I got the mother clucker chicken sandwich. Both people loved the burger! The pizza was also delicious, but we did think it had a little too much cheese. It was huge and only $14 so you really can't complain. The chicken in the mother clucker was moist and juicy, but I felt it was under seasoned and kind of bland. They put sauce on the sandwich, but they could have added more to help with the taste. The burgers and sandwiches come with kettle chips or you can upgrade your side for an extra cost. We all got the chips and though they were good. The ranch seasoning they put on it was a nice touch. The size of thelping of chips they serve with the meal was awesome. We'd definitely come back. Their Facebook says they have live music sometimes. That would be fun on their patio. read more

Everything was wonderful. We sat in the outdoor shaded patio. Food was excellent. Try the Mother Clucker sandwich. The chicken breast has a lightly tempura battered, pickles and there special sauce (like a Mayo/siracha mix). Best Ever! Drooling to go back! During Covid we did take-out all the time and the burger, cheese curds, pizza, nacho's, filet sliders, wing's and salad's are sooo good! Burgers are huge! This time we went in aNd got the Orange Salmon(teriyaki mix) came with delicious brown rice & the green beans, that were Soo good, hubby(who hates veges)even ate! We sat at the bar & the bar tenders were fabulous! We ordered a few Prima Donna Martini's & I even knocked mine over(hubby did)with the menu aNd the bartenders replaced it with-out question and were so kind! ! What a wonderful staff! I didn't even say a word, but to yell at hubby! Lol We have always Luv'd Chop'd whether it be pick-up or dine in! They also have great entertainment in the outdoor patio dining! A friend had ordered from here last week when her daughter was in town. So when we wanted to get dinner takeout we ordered on Sunday night. Good thing we showed up early as the food was already waiting! I got the Steakumm sandwich (shaved ribeye, mushrooms, cheese on ciabatta), which was very flavorful and didn't even need the bowl of au jus. However, the waffle fries weren't worth the upcharge: they seemed to have been cooked a while in advance so they were pretty cold and also lacked seasoning. Stick with the kettle chips that come with. My friend also enjoyed her bacon cheeseburger. Will look forward to reopening to get a full menu from these guys! read more

Came on a Saturday late lunch/early dinner time and wasn't busy. They bring a tall glass bottle of water and you can replenish your own water, which is very nice. We still had great service. They were out of the Wagyu bombs, so we tried the wagyu meatballs. They were very tender and went well with cheese grilled crostini. Had the steakhouse burger and choose the grilled green beans. Burger had mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and onion rings very flavorful and juicy. The green beans were too salty for my taste but they were cooked right. Would definitely come back. read more

My fiance's mother hosted an engagement party for us here on Saturday during the day from 1-4PM. The staff were great and I would come back here in a heartbeat. The space: it's so spacious! We had the whole back room and they had part of the patio reserved for us. Once we were in our designated space, we could take our masks off and only had to put them back on when going to common areas like the bathroom. The service: AMAZING. There were only 2 girls and the manager helping us but those girls were everywhere. Taking away dishes, bringing drinks, taking drink orders, etc. We were really impressed how quick and present they were. They were so friendly and nice too! Drinks: They have a great beer selection! The menu really had something for everyone, and had a nice variety of beers, seltzers, and cocktails. I was happy with every drink that I ordered. Food: I realized after that my fiance's mother brought in some outside food along with the food the restaurant provided. Everything was tasty though! I didn't eat a ton as I spent most of my time floating around and chatting with people, but the things I did eat I really liked. If we ever find ourselves around this area we'll be back for sure! read more

My friend and I came to Chop'd for a light dinner. It was close to where we were already, so decided to try it out. It was a Wednesday night, so it wasn't super busy. We were greeted and sat right way. I loved how big the booths were. If you have a large party there will be plenty of room for drinks and food. The table even extended out a little so you could have someone standing if they were on the go. I really wanted to come here to try the pretzel crab bread since it sounded unique. My friend and I decided to share a bunch of apps. We ended up getting the nachos, avocado toast flight, and the pretzel. Everything was great. The pretzel was creamy and soft. Very pliable and delicious. The crab was a bit overpowered by the cheese, but it was definitely there and the mango mustard was great. The avocado toast was delicious. My favorite was the oven dried tomato one. It was very savory. Finally, the nachos were addictive. I kept going back for more. I wouldn't say there was anything particularly special about them, but it was a classic nacho done very well. It really hit the spot. Of course because it was hump day, I ordered a drink. Because I love mules, I ordered the blackberry mule. It was light and refreshing. The blackberry added a tartness. I couldn't stop taking sips. Luckily our waitress was prompt and we got our food quickly. The service was also spot on. She was really attentive and chatted with us naturally where it didn't seem overbearing or forced. The drinks are great, absolutely great, however the food is just mediocre at best. The best thing they had, and was suggested by our server (so thank you for that!) was the Whipped Ricotta and Honey and the Wagyu Bombs that my friends had. I ordered the Macademia Mahi which was a little bit of a let down, and my husband ordered the Mac and Cheese without the bacon, which was also a bit of a let down. The server, the appetizers and the drinks along with the ambience were spot on which is why this place gets the rating it does for me. I am aware that maybe I just chose certain things on the menu that may not be their strength, so I will definitely be returning to try some more stuff out! read more

My daughter took me to the Mother's Day brunch at chop'd. I haven't seen such a huge array of delicious eatables in a long time. Every food type dreamable and different versions for every palate. It's not often that I venture out to Plainfield to try a new restaurant, especially now that we're limited to takeout, but the Chop'd menu was so incredibly delicious sounding that we made the trek, and I'm SO happy we did. We started with the pretzel crab bread. Okay come on, what could be better than a delicious chewy, soft pretzel, stuffed with lump crab meat, seasoned with the classic old bay seasoning, topped with cheese, and served with a sweet mustard sauce?! Not a whole lot. This was an amazing appetizer and got us excited for the rest of our meal. My husband also got the whipped ricotta and honey, which I thought was silly until I saw him slathering crusty bread with with the most beautiful creamy, cheesy concoction, and then I was immediately jealous. We pressed on to the Chop'd burger with bacon and onion jam, blue cheese, and mixed greens. I don't love onion (okay fine I hate onion) but suddenly a jam of onion and bacon served atop a burger made me a fan. This burger was delicious! We also got the Steak Umm, which was everything you want in a steak sandwich. Thin sliced beef, mushrooms, gruyere cheese. It was paradise. I got it with no onions because, well, see above, but I'm sure if you're an onion fan, you'd love them here, too. We started our time here on a bit of a Rocky start. We walked in with a group of 6 and the girl at the hostess station made all 3 adults feel unwelcome and that it was a nuisance that she had to find somewhere for such a large group. We all felt like we should apologize to her for coming in. We were told that all the tables were being held for reservations that would fit us so if we wanted to she could seat us a a booth. We were like ok. Well 2 of us are large women, these booths are absolutely not made for people our size. I actually had to stand during some of the time because it was so painful to be at the booths. Ok so yes that isn't exactly the restaurants fault, but it made our time there uncomfortable and painf. On a side note there were more than a few empty tables inside and out that were empty the entire time we were there. The other issue we had was the booth was at a window, it was so bright we had a hard time even reading the menu. There were no blinds or was to try to block the sun at all. If it wasn't for those 3 things this place would have gotten 5 stars. Our waitress was great! She was friendly and helpful. She was a very refreshing change from the hostess. The food was great. My daughter had the new York strip steak. It was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. My bother in law also had a steak and ate the whole thing, which means it was also amazing. Both items that were from the kids menu were enjoyed. My sister got a salad with seafood on it that she enjoyed so much that even after she was full she kept picking at it. I got the Cajun pork belly blt, it was amazing. It was one of the most enjoyable sandwiches I have ever had. It's unfortunate that Chri... (won't mention her name), their events coordinator at the time, took a long time to get back to me after inquiring to have a private party for about 50 guests. It took one week for her to respond after my first email inquiry and 2 voicemails. I only received an email back with her assuming I was still having a party there lol. No way. Without any correspondence and not being given menus and pricing in a timely matter (the event was about 2 weeks away). How on earth would I have invitations for guests ready without confirmation of the venue? Need that more than 2 weeks in advance for a party of 50. Poor customer service on her part. Not going back even though their food is good. It's all about service to have repeat customers. It's a competitive market out there and I'd take my business elsewhere. Sorry. read more

Our 1st time there. The ambiance is great!! Very pretty inside. We ordered appetizers and had the cheese curds (these were really good, not heavily breaded) and the meatballs. (These we thought tasted like frozen meatballs) Our meals (we were divided on, I had the filet sliders, they were somewhat basic. They needed cheese or something... kinda like a big chunk of meat on a mini bun. The Brussel spouts were good other than some of them were really hard and maybe not cooked long enough. My son had the burger and said it was GREAT!!! However, he had the mashed garlic potatoes as his side & he thought they were awful. His G/F had the chicken club & loved it!!! Just had dinner with my boys at Chop'd. Only a 15 minute wait on a Friday night at 7:00. Not bad at all. I had the Chop'd Signature (ribeye). It was absolutely amazing!!!! Very flavorful. I chose the brussel sprouts and Chop'd cheesy potatoes as sides and they did not disappoint. The sprouts were the best I have ever had. Very happy overall. My boys were happy with their meals as well. New York strip for one and the steak-um for the other. Tylor was our waiter and a very pleasant young man. Very attentive and very polite. We ordered from Chop'd from tiime to time during the pandemic, but this is the first time we actually dined at the restaurant. We chose to sit outdoors. They have a large patio with a bar. Sam was our server and she was attentive and friendly, and she was on top of any request we made. We were never forgotten or lost among the customers. Chop'd has a great cocktail list. If you're a bourbon lover, you'll love this place. The smok"d maple bacon old fashion is outstanding. The blackberry mule is good, too. The food is good here. The only complaint I have is that their burgers are cooked only to medium. You can't get a medium rare burger here. The menu has many options and the food that I've ordered from this restaurant has always been very good. Some things I would recommend are the avocado flight, the whipped ricotta & honey, the golden beet salad, the 815 chicken sandwich, the steak umm sandwich and the bison burger. When we arrived at 5pm on Sunday, there was live music, which quickly ended unfortunately. So if you want to sit outside and enjoy live entertainment, I would recommend going for lunch on a Sunday. The place to go for an event! We searched everywhere for the perfect place to host our daughter's graduation party. We needed a private room, good food options, good service, and of course, a reasonable price...and we found all of these and more at Chop'd. Christen was the most amazing coordinator, super responsive to texts, a great communicator, and even helped with the decorations on the day of our event. We chose the Farm room because it was lovely with plenty of seating and provided the perfect setting for our group of 55. We selected the brunch package and could not have been more pleased. The portions were generous and everyone raved about how delicious the food was. Our servers for the day were Tyler and Veronica and they were both incredible. They were very attentive to everyone and kept me informed throughout the day. We are so thankful for the Chop'd team for helping make today so special and memorable. read more
