You blow away a sure thing now for an unknown later. So if I wanted to be seated, served and done within an hour we would've went to McDonald's. I've personally been here probably over 50 times (no joke) since I've moved to Plainfield 2 yrs ago. Everything I've ever had was spot on great food. 1st bad experience: They added a few new items to the menu which I was super excited about. I had the carne asada. I was skeptical at first because, I mean this isn't a traditional Mexican restaurant but I thought.....why not.....everything else has always been super good. I started eating the steak & it weirdly didn't have a flavor....I kept eating & toward the middle end of eating it....it tasted sour.....I thought it was me.....I had a beer & then drinking the Mule.....but when i had the last 2 bites it tasted moldy. Suggestion to all that cook carne asada (skirt steak): for it to be spot on with the seasoning....use Adobo....but it needs to be the Criolla brand. A lot of places use Goya Adobo but thats pure salt with no taste. Criolla Adobo is good on all meats & gives it a great taste. If you're gonna grill it.....season with Adobo & put in a zip lock bag over night with vinegar.....& oh emm geee.....the most tender, flavorful skirt steak!!! I've even left 'em seasoning for 3 days...& thats even better & more tender.
