This is a pretty solid Thai place. I've tried several dishes here. Chokdee is very hit or miss- for example the Tom Kha, drunken noodles (or pad kee mao), and pad se ew were not very good. The stir fried noodles were very bland and dry (there should have been a lot more sauce!) But the pad prik king, green curry, stir fried veggie plate, and mango sticky rice were really good. A new location in the booming metropolis called Manor... Portions are big! I mean really big! Lots of food. However flavor is meh... I had several things, lettuce wraps, Tom yum soup, my sons chicken noodle soup, my other boys fried rice, and all of it was just lacking in flavor. It wasn't bad but it seemed to be missing... well flavoring! I have been to so many other Thai places that are sooooo much better. My friends and I just tried this place. I cannot recommend the Tom Kha, as it was rather bland and nowhere near as rich and creamy as my favorites in Austin. It also does not come with rice, which seems silly especially considering that I ordered the full pot. I found the smoothie rather underwhelming in fruit content as well. My friends convinced me to go 3 stars here instead of 2 because they found their orders appreciable, though not great. Personally I wouldn't bother coming back. I don't really recommend this place anymore. I was eating here for a while but the meat is usually poor quality. The beef is incredibly chewy and tough when I ordered it with Pad See Ewe. So I tried the chicken, which just did not taste good. Then I tried the Tofu, and it was not good to me. Finally, I tried the shrimp and was not into it. I dunno, they lost me with the meat and I got the impression that the server truly disliked me, as she was slightly rude. so I won't be going back any time soon. The chicken pad Thai is the BLANDEST I have ever tasted, and I travel the country for work and have eaten chicken pad Thai in almost every state lol. Love their red snapper! It is pretty spicy, and you can't adjust it via door dash but we add it in to the notes and they follow it everytime. This spot seemed to have popped out of nowhere. Showed up as a new suggestion recently so we decided to try it! We ordered the pineapple fried rice, pad prik khing, and pad kee mow. All the entrees besides the fried rice were packed with flavor. The fried rice was very mild, very bland, they went easy on any seasoning. We might try a different rice dish next time since everything else turned out okay. It's not our favorite Thai restaurant in Austin but definitely has the potential to breach within our top 5, a lot of it due to how convenient the location is to us, plus the dishes we enjoyed were promising, we'd like to explore other entrees on there menu. I do wish they'd make their dishes a little more sizeable but maybe we've just been spoiled by our other favorite Thai restaurants. Ok, shameless confession here: I low-key celebrate my birthday the whole month, so this was one of my family dinners--a special treat meeting my mom at an in-between spot since she lives just far enough to be a little hard to find a convenient place to meet up for a meal. Chokdee make themselves a fast favorite, with lots of gluten free options, high-quality food, smiling service, and my mom even got to bring her dog to the small, covered patio seating. This place is always on point. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are big. I have been here several times since they have been open in Manor and they are a welcome addition to town. There is nothing like it near by and I have not had anything from the menu I didn't like. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My faves are the Tom Yum soup, Golden Cheese Rolls, Vermacelli noodles, Lemon grass noodles, Pad Pak, Massaman Curry and Red Curry. The Yum Nuer salad is also addicting even though I typically don't do well with spicy. Highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Just left this place and I'm pretty upset and wanted to love this place but have a valid reason as to why I don't. The waitress was very nice and welcoming and the place was clean. I keep trying Chokdee wanting to love it, because I'd love to have a go-to Thai place so close. But it just always misses the mark in some way or they've gotten the order wrong. This latest time, I ordered the pad see ew: it tasted ok overall but the serving size wasn't great, the chicken was dry and over cooked, the noodles were weirdly broken up like they'd been over-mixed, and there was random normal broccoli mixed in with the Chinese broccoli. The sticky rice with mango was good but the container oozed coconut milk on eeeeverything. I think I'll travel farther to get better, more consistent Thai in the future. Solid Thai food experience. It has more of a diner experience than a dining restaurant. All the traditional menu items that you tend to see like satay and spring rolls for an appetizer, all the standard curry dishes, Noodle dishes and soups. The pad Thai was a solid 4 of 5. The spring rolls and satay were good. The massuman curry dish had lots of chicken, onions and carrots. The curry sauce was a bit thin compared to others we have had it was a wee bit runny. Not as flavorful / seasoned as I personally like but still nicely done. Staff were very nice. Service was good. Desserts - we ordered the sticky rice with Mango. Very good. I ordered food from Chokdee like 2 weeks ago, and I ordered a kid's size fried rice, a chicken pad see ew, a mango sticky rice and veggie egg rolls. To start with the kids fried rice it had no flavor at all, it was cold and tasted like old rice tossed with some eggs and veggies, my pad see ew was bland with no flavor at all (I've tried better pad see ew) the noodles didn't taste fresh, the chicken had a weird flavor, ended up not eating it, veggie egg rolls were super oily, didn't taste fresh at all and I had hoped the mango sticky rice was good, flavor wise was good, sadly they heated up the rice on the Styrofoam plate and all the rice had melted into the plate (most likely I ate plastic) but out of everything I ordered only the mango sticky rice was edible everything else was not good at all. Super sad because I like that this Thai place offers lots of options but everything I got didn't taste good nor fresh. read more

I am so happy for Chokdee Thai Cuisine in Manor because they make the best beef Pad Kee Mao I have ever had! It's definitely on the spicier side than I prefer but it's packed with flavor. (I think on their to go website it stated the Pad Kee Mao was medium spicy. If it was mild spicy I wouldn't have to take breaks to eat the noodles because my mouth and stomach was on fire lol Even though the intense burning, I will finished all of my noodles.) The vegetables in the noodles are cooked perfectly! The broccoli, onion, and bell peppers still has a crunchy which I love! You can taste the fresh basil in the noodles. The whole dish is well seasoned and balanced. I love the convenience of being able to place my order directly on their website and prepaying. The whole to go order was simple, easy, and the quality of food was amazing! The food was packaged well and still piping hot! The pick up time was exact. I came in and picked up my order and off I go! Do I recommend this place? Absolutely Yes! I've ordered from here twice and each time the Pad Kee Mao blew me away. Pad Thai was ok and was different.
