The food was cooked well but there was no flavor to it. I was stoked to have a Thai place in town so this was a total letdown.

Loved it went the the other day to be out of rain and traffic. Was a pleasant surprise. The had great service and food.

When our weekly Thai place closed for renovations for a few months, we were forced to look outside of the Austin city limits for a restaurant that also gets gluten free. Thankfully Chokdee was exactly what we were looking for and more! They had a clearly labeled allergen menu, were accommodating to modifications, the portions were generous, and the drive from South Austin thru the east country side was scenic and relaxing. The service is really nice, they were very attentive. I had the green curry and it was really good. The crab cheese roll were good but had a little too much cheese and not enough crab. My husband loved his fried rice, he actually said it was the best fried rice he ever had. I definitely will come back again and recommend this place. I've been here several times since they opened and have ordered out once, all experiences were terrific! The food is fantastic, my favorite being the curry, and the service is excellent. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and made sure that I had everything I needed at all times. As I said, the food was delicious and I never had to wait long for it. The one star is for today's service. Came in for dinner and my husband and I were the only people in the entire restaurant. We've been here a couple times before and know the food to be great; however, service today was horrible and we walked out before ordering. There were two people "working" the front and they could not seem to be bothered to even ask us for our drink order after handing us our menus. They just sat at a table a few feet away from us and kept their faces down in their electronic devices the entire time. After what felt like an eternity of looking over at them, one of them finally bothered to look up from her iPad and made eye contact with me, just as we had decided to get up and leave. We let her know that we would not be ordering, she quickly asked if we were sure, and, before we were even out the door, she was sitting back down and had her face back in her iPad. So disappointed and will choose to turn around and eat elsewhere in the future if we walk into an empty restaurant and spot employees with their faces in their phones/ipads. read more

Worst customer service during high peek time. We waited over an hour for our food. Then we waited even more for our food to be packed up because we were going to be late going back to work. The waitress was rude when we asked for our bill. When we finally got our food, the salads and soups were missing. I've been to chokdee several times and never experienced this before. I read lots of good reviews prior to trying this local restaurant. I got pad Thai lunch with chicken and soup of the day. First the noodle are good but the chicken in both the dish and in the soup was very bland and tough. It has a taste as if it were boiled first and added to the dish as it's made. I didn't even eat it because it was not good. The soup tastes like a tomato / seafood broth with onion, mushroom and a couple pieces of chicken. For my first time trying Thai food, I wasn't too impressed. Surely it is the location but I was disappointed. read more

I have been three times and each time I have tried something different. I love the Iced Thai Coffee. I get it every time. I have had the Green Curry with Shrimp, Red Curry with Pork and the Larb. I enjoyed all of them especially the Larb, fantastic! The waitress we had was very attentive and did a great job. I look forward to going there again and trying other items on the menu. read more

Horrible. First time trying this place and my last. My food was bland as hell. Zero favor and greasy. Not to mention the stuff was slimy. It felt like I was eating noodles cooked with old hotdog water. I called and talked to the "manager" and told her about it and she told me I dont know what to tell you and hung up on me. People of Manor! This is a public service announcement! Stop eating everywhere else in this town and give your stomach the respect it deserves. We have lived in Manor for 5 years and I have always hated that we have such terrible places to eat (all fast food and disgusting dirty restaurants)...until now. I love Thai food, and when I saw this place open I made sure to try it right away. I don't even have the words to describe how thankful I am that we have an actual restaurant that makes fresh, delicious, clean, real food. The service is always excellent, efficient, and very friendly. The restaurant is always clean. The menu is appropriately priced. Every time that we go, it never disappoints. My husband and I come here at least once a week if not more. I should have a frequent eater punch card! Everyone that we take says this place is amazing. I am so glad that this place is getting the recognition it deserves. I hope that you stay open for many decades to come! read more

I've only ever had their spring rolls. I'm a spring roll addict. Their's are pretty good. I do wish they had cilantro though I realize not everyone likes cilantro. Their peanut sauce is delicious. I would definitely recommend. read more
