More to the point, the friendliness and charm of the two gals working the counter, exactly what I needed, right when I needed a warm and pleasant smile. I miscalculated my coffee supply before I left the Bay Area and didn't notice until it was too late to turn back. I needed to find real coffee and that's what I found here. Chocolate Fish coffee roasters espresso, the very last bag in the house.I asked them to grind some for beans for me and they were more than happy to do so. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but if it tastes as good as it smells, I may have found a new coffee roaster in Sac Town.. Chocolate is the best folks! It has easily become the premier spot to visit in Sutter Creek. Why? First is atmosphere. The place is brimming over with it. It's warm, inviting, interesting and cozy. Next is their chef. Almost all the food is cooked right there in the back by a wonderful chef (the muffins are killer!). Last time I had a Brie and apple sandwich that slayed. They have great coffee drinks. I myself always order the pink lemonade green tea. It's a loose leaf tea that is incredible. You can get it iced or hot. I would say the food alone is reason enough to give them a try. Located right in the heart of downtown Sutter Creek, this makes a prefect destination for your alternative to Starbucks. Love Chocolatte! Whether I'm grabbing a hot chai to go on my way to work or having the opportunity to meet friends for a mocha and delicious scone, Chocolatte always hits it out of the park! I love their drinks and the employees are all very kind and friendly, along with the owners. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing and perfect to spend hours catching up with friends, reading a good book or getting a little work done. I love when friends come from out of town and I can bring them here. They're always charmed by the small town friendliness and camaraderie of the community and regulars. The vibe in here was spectacular. It was beautifully decorated and clean. CiCi, the barista who helped me, was amazing. She was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION GETAWAY in Sutter Creek! (10/10/16) We had such a WONDERFUL time here!!!!! I can't express how surprisingly delightful our stay was, and we stayed an extra day because it was so great!!! From the moment we arrived into the town, we found our hotel to be at the epicenter of a quant, cozy, quiet, welcoming core of shops, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and dessert and treat establishments. Now, the first morning we woke up, my boyfriend went driving to get us coffee or breakfast somewhere, and instead found this absolutely amazing coffee shop across the street called Choc-O-Latte, where they make specialty coffee and have chocolates and pastries. He came back to the hotel and excitedly told me "get ready, you gave to come with me to this coffee place across the street!!" Even though he already bought us coffee, he wanted to take me there because he knew I'd love it, and he was right!!!! Fran is one of the owners, along with her sister, I have apologetically forgot her name , but they were the most kindest, warm, and accommodating business women I've met in a long time!!! They immediately became like our old friends!!! We sat and talked with them, and they invited us to a movie later that day called "Girl on a Train," and when they met us there, they gave me a chocolate birthday cake, complete with a candle and matches for Ryan and I to share back at the hotel. I was absolutely speechless and I gave them 764 hugs !! I mean, who does that???!!!!! Seriously!! We were very touched. It definitely left an imprint on our spirits with their display of kindness and love . They were also inspiring, and they renewed our idea that there are still good and amazing people in the world who can care for complete strangers. When we are busy with life and so much negativity coming at us from all directions, it's so nice to be slowed down to a halt by a kind gesture given by a total stranger that goes above and beyond to make us feel special. They truly bumped up the happy and warm fuzzy frequency!! Now, that being said, they also have the BEST coffee, house made pastries and gourmet chocolates. Omg trust me, from truffles to biscotti, quiche and pecan cinnamon rolls, and chocolate covered fresh marshmallows. You MUST try their treats and coffee!! Fran made me a perfect Latte that had me going all day!! Mmmmm. We are definitely coffee connoisseurs, and we are already missing their coffee!! So much so, we ordered some Chocolate Fish Coffee to be sent to our home!!! So, if you are in this town, and you want the best coffee ever, with amazing family like service, smiles, conversations, and open arms, you HAVE to come here!!! Came here for the first time yesterday and loved it! My husband and I came in after they had already closed and they still let us come in first a treat! They were so kind and gracious I couldn't believe it. We got butter pecan, mudslide, and strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it was delicious. The best ice cream I've ever had!
