First of all extremely over priced! Rent is high but don't take it out on the customers. A no return policy in place is your rule but you should make it right if the product is not consistent with the advertised product, nothing like the picture, I brought it back 2 hours later not like I had it for a week and changed my mind, immediately I was argued with that it was what I bought, trust me it's not! I was hoping for a chocolate shop, but ended up finding an amazing costume shop! Costumes for day's. Cloaks, capes, accessories, all to enhance your costume of choice. I loved the true " period pieces" so very King Arthur-ish. Chocolate walrus also has amazing hats for all genres. The steampunk items are on point. I fell in love with the hats. Costumes come is all sizes from tiny to plus sizes. I didn't really see any traditional men's attire, and totally look at CW as a women's fun shop. Yes, this will pop up as an " adult store". Yes, they have adult items, but it's truly a fun costume store that is a must check out when you're in Reno. The customer service is perfect. A fun little store that is one part costume store and one part adult toys and such. We were there to see about getting an accessory for a 1920s themed outfit, and they did have a small selection of those items. All the costumes seemed to be womens, the sexy and fun type of costumes. The quality and selection of those items was pretty good. The price seemed average to a little above. The store was really tidy and not sleazy at all. The staff tended to their duties but were helpful and friendly when we asked for assistance. I didn't spend much time on the toy/dvd side, as that wasn't what we were there for, but it was the same tidy, well stocked and fine space as the costume side. After purchasing this outfit on impulse, I found it online for literally $50... total so I went back a couple days later ready to return it, tags still on and untouched . I assumed I could do this because the cashier didn't inform me, during my $300 purchase, that they didn't do returns or refunds. So only when it was too late did I actually find out that I couldn't return it... and I can't even resell it because of how much cheaper it is online. Not to mention them double charging me for a pair of panties that was $15.. they didn't fit me but I wouldn't have known that because you can't try them on! All of these rules are simply because of "the nature of the store".. When trying to get my money back for the double charge, the manager "helped" me said, "that's the best she could do!" Lovely, how lovely! Doesn't really sway my opinion, because by this point I believe they are cheap and definitely not geared toward customer service or experience. It's also worth mentioning that the entire time I was shopping, the clerk treated me as if I was shoplifting... well she did this to everyone. As soon as I picked something up , an employee dashed over and took it out of my hand, would shake any boxes or check any clothing - to make sure no thievery was going on - and set the then placed the item behind the counter.... Nobody in the store was allowed to carry anything around, not for convenience, but Out of suspicion . When I was trying on my outfits , the clerks would pick out my outfits - again not for convenience . Plus I had like eight outfits only one and All but one was kept at the counter - the one I ended up buying... and the most expensive one. Anything you need here, can be found online and for about 200 dollars cheaper. And lastly, I paid with cash, all 20s and she marked every single one of them and after, confirmed with a coworker that she saw her mark them all, like that was something that had to be done publicly. Especially since my 20s were all real... Goes without saying that I won't be returning, especially because I only went to find a certain kind of panties, that they didn't have. They have half the shop filled with what looks like halloween costumes, which would be good to go to in a couple months. The other half is where I wanted to be. It's a small shop, but they made a space for everything. They have toys, a bachelorette section, lingerie, and really pretty corsets. I decided to get fitted for a corset. They are expensive! I was unable to find a single article of clothing here that could fit me. I saw 2 things on all of the racks of clothing that weren't size "zero". The "one size fits all" was a joke.
