This chocolate shop opened in November 2020. I didn't try the chocolates (which are $2 each), but based on my gelato I'm sure it's excellent too. They offer gelato sampling, even during covid! Mango sorbet was pretty good. It was rich & creamy though it was a (dairy free) sorbet. It had a tart edge one day but another this note wasn't evident (maybe the mangoes were better). Hazelnut was great - smooth & with a good hazelnut flavour that wasn't overpowering. Blueberry lavender was fragrant. Lemon curd was close to lemon gelato, with a hint bitterness. There were bits of candied lemon in it. All flavours were rich & creamy & had no ice crystals. The staff here are quite endearing. They've upgraded their display case and have gone from 7 to up to 10 gelato flavours now!

I opted not going for any of the "kooky" combinations advertised as they looked WAY too sweet for me. There's only 3 soft serve flavours here. Vanilla, chocolate or twist (vanilla + choco). But in terms of coatings/dips, they have a TON. I spent a good 15 min deciding which dip I wanted to go with. The owner (I presume) was the one who took my order when I walked up to the register. He highly recommended that I opt for a waffle cone if I was going for a classic dip (I was leaning towards just getting a cup). He was so adamant that he threw in the waffle cone for free! Super nice guy and great customer service! Got a medium size, chocolate soft-serve with extra dark chocolate shell/exterior. These scoops are very generous. I prolly could've done with a small tbh since I was SOOO FULL after dinner loool. But yea, I'm glad I went with dark chocolate on chocolate soft-serve because the whole dessert was not sweet at all which I really enjoyed. If I'm back in the area one day with my gf, I'll take her here and share a dessert with her!

Couldn't resist getting some treats before dinner ^^ Food at Frank's was delicious, and service was friendly and attentive. The decor inside the restaurant was beautiful with all the paintings wall art, and chandeliers :) The bone narrow, prime rib and butternut squash ravioli from the special NYE menu were delicious. My friend's kids also loved the cheese pizza from the kid's menu.

They actually take painstaking care to label essentially everything as organic in the menu. It's actually almost comical. The food itself is quite good. The pasta tastes house made. The pizza dough also is house made but it does have crust reminiscent of frozen. The toppings do make up for this though. Service was on the slower side and it seemed the kitchen was in the weeds despite not being a packed house. Not sure if it's because of the ingredients but the prices are on the higher side, such as the sausage (essentially a short hotdog) with home fried for $16. Overall a good experience for the convenience of table service otherwise getting food from somewhere like Framboy and making it yourself would be a good equivalent. To be fair this is a 3.5/5 but half stars aren't possible.

We recently celebrated a family birthday at fishbone for lunch and it was a great experience from…read moreservice to food. The restaurant is brightly lit with lots of natural sunlight, the decor is a mix of elegance and rustic at the same time. It's got an open and inviting feel. Our server was fantastic - very patient with a large group like ours, able to tell us right off the bat what is and is not customizable, recommendations of when to order to ensure flow works out. Food: Charbroiled octopus - one of my favorite dishes I tried - perfectly cooked, has a nice char, good meaty bits but not chewy, has a really nice chili oil on it. I can not stress how much I recommend getting this if you enjoy seafood. 5/5. Chorizo appetizer - comes out in a little pig plate with an open flame underneath. The chorizo itself is good with a nice spice, dense meat. The best part of this dish (IMO) is the spiced apple sauce on the side that cuts the richness of the sausage with a sweet and tangy apple and a little spice kick. 4.5/5. Bread - fresh baked bread with butter, a pumpkin jam and cheese. Everything on that plate works so well together. I definitely recommend this as an all rounding pleasing appetizer - 5/5. Beets - the beets were fresh with a vibrant orange colour. The apple, walnut and goat cheese all work together. I do wish this dish had a bit more but it works. 4.5/5. Brussel sprouts - amazing deep fried brussel sprouts - makes me want to always deep fry them for life. The spicy harissa sauce works well with the sprouts. Crunchy peanuts on top add both a texture and nuttiness that is refreshing to the brussel sprouts. 5/5. Oysters - super fresh, absolutely delicious without any condiments needed. Loved them. 5/5. Paella - this is definitely large enough for 2 people to eat so consider sharing unless you have a monster appetite. As with all their plates, it is beautifully constructed. The shrimp are huge and meaty. Mussels are plentiful, lots of chorizo and bay scallops. The rice has that really nice briny seafood flavor from the broth. It was just a teeny tiny bit overly salty to my taste but it's cut with the dollops of sour cream. Has this really nice low level heat that just works without burning your mouth. 4.5/5. Lamb sirloin - great crust on the lamb and cook as well. Flavorful sear and crust on the lamb with a soft tender meaty interior. Can't go wrong with- 5/5. Branzino - delicious flaky and light with a great grill. If you're interested in a fresh fish, this is a good choice. Was a special on the menu - 5/5. Prices: Fine dining pricing but you get the excellent food, service and experience for the price.

We started the meal with peach with baratta salad which was so refreshing. Next we got the grilled octopus which was nicely charred but I have to say the amount of octopus is pretty small for a dish that's almost $30. When I saw paella on the menu, I knew I had to get it. It was topped with seafood including 2 giant prawns, clams, mussels and sausages. The rice was cooked perfectly with bold flavours. However I felt that the seafood was slightly undercooked. We told our server and he asked the kitchen to cook us new shrimps right away. I would def recommend sharing this entree as the portion is enough for 2. We finished our meal with an affogato, which is no longer on the menu but our waiter kindly let us order. We loved the decor and vibe at this restaurant! Tip: Mr Puffs has stuffed puffs…read more I had only been to two Mr Puffs locations in my life. The one that I have frequented the most is by my workplace. The other was its Lansdowne Park location in Ottawa. I will admit that I stopped going to the one by my workplace. I don't know why. I really should go back to my habit of getting a box of hot-out-of-the-fryer puffs after work. These days, I have been reacquainting myself with Aurora. On Saturday, I was driving up Bayview Avenue and noticed a Mr Puffs sign next to an A&W. These two eateries occupy the old Panera Bread store that stayed vacant for the longest time. It was nice to see it spruced up with new businesses. After having a late lunch, I had placed a takeout order for dinner. Yes, I don't skip a planning beat with meals... haha! While waiting for my takeout order, I felt the need to swing by this Mr Puffs location. It's in a plaza that I used to frequent often a good decade ago. The Sheridan Nurseries across from this business used to be Michael-Angelo's, a grocery store that I loved getting Portuguese custard tarts from. I found a parking spot fairly close to Mr Puffs. I parked my car and then headed over to the store. There are two sets of doors to go through before you see the counter. There was a woman with three kids in front of me. It was perfect to go through the menu. There were new offerings. You can get stuffed puffs now. I wanted my usual crispy-chewy puffs, but I was excited to see new items. It offers a Dubai series of items. I may need to do Dubai puffs next time. I wanted a light snack. I went with twelve puffs. The woman taking my order was helpful and nice. I got apple cinnamon and raspberry puffs. Both glazes are comforting and yummy. I frankly don't think there is a glaze that I despise. The choco series is yummy, too. She asked for my name for the order. I like that touch rather than employing a number system. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. This store is spacious and nice. There was a group of six folks sitting around a circular table. It almost looked like they were having a group therapy session with puffs. There was also seating where the kids and mom were. This store has a ton more seating here than the Dixie location in Mississauga and has a more relaxed atmosphere than the Lansdowne Park location. There were two orders ahead of me. I got to check out branded drinkware. Mr Puffs now offers spreads in jars, such as hazelnut, pistachio, choco-loco (hazelnut and white chocolate), and more. Nice! It was great seeing puffs made in front of my eyes. I watched a male staffer glaze a box of thirty puffs. Yum! The woman called my name. I was excited. I thanked her and wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I safely secured my box of deliciousness in my car. I drove over to fetch my dinner order. Once I had that order in my car, I opened my Mr Puffs box to enjoy puffs that I haven't had in at least a year. I got fourteen of them. I always like when I get bonus puffs. I feel like I've won a jackpot of sorts. It's also nice that I got my favourite number of them. The puffs were heavenly. Crispy and chewy. The apple cinnamon had the perfect balance of apple goodness with comforting cinnamon. I appreciate that the glazes aren't too sweet. The raspberry was delicious. It looked like I had licked all the raspberry glaze at the bottom of the box when I was done. It was great enjoying some puffs again. I love this location. I'm not sure why the rating are so low. My experience was excellent, so maybe things have improved these days. (7)

I've ordered from this location three times now, and unfortunately, they've always forgotten something. Yesterday, I ordered the 30-puff box with Cappuccino Crisp and Hazelnut Biscotti, the worker even repeated my order. Since it was a gift, I didn't open the box to check. However, when we finally did, we realized the Hazelnut Biscotti topping was missing. Additionally, I wish they had checked the box for cleanliness before handing it off. When I got out of the car, I noticed chocolate on our white seats. Upon checking, I found a large smear of chocolate on the bottom of the box, which also got on my pants. Despite these mishaps, we did enjoy the puffs. We just wish all the toppings had been included as ordered and that the box was checked
