Kooky cone dark chocolate and hazelnut praline.

The service was awesome and friendly, and the ice cream creations were amazing!! We enjoyed shopping the chocolates, too. It was great sitting on the patio and enjoying our treats! The chocolate was awesome.

This evening I had a craving for something sweet so I decided to stop by this chocolate shop that I often drive by, Chocolats Favoris. When I first walked in, it was quite bumpin with people inside and out on the patio. The store was bright and filled with sweat treats (chocolates, ice cream, candies) as if you were in a low key version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In the back near the cash register stands their soft serve dip station where they make their delicious dipped treats and ice cream sandwiches. I decided to tryout one of their dipped cones and opted for their "Original Milk" version which included brownie bite, chocolate cookie crumble and dark chocolate drizzle. I also had a choice of soft serve which included chocolate, vanilla, pistachio and strawberry.. of course I went adventurous and chose the "pistachio" flavour. Overall, it was very quite good and they loaded it up with a bit of everything so it was a fair amount for what you're paying for. One personal note, I'm not much of a sweet tooth so the whole combination was a bit dense in terms of sweetness but that's not a knack on the store but more of a heads up for people like me. One other thing, the chocolate dip does harden pretty fast so you're gonna need to really vote into that or break it with a spoon. As for the service, the staff were very nice and fast with orders so kudos to hiring great people! One last tidbit, they have a mystery flavour they release every month and if you guess it correctly on their site .. you can win free ice cream for a period of time, you just have to ask to sample it. I thought this was a fun little activity within the store for engagement. All in all, would I be back .. for sure! It was a fun experience but maybe I'll just opt for the soft serve option next time. If you're looking for a nice snack in the summer or have a sweet tooth, then definitely drop by and give it a try.

Two words: SUGAR OVERDOSE. And this is coming from someone who adoressss anything sweet and sugary. Chocolat Favoris is known for their flavoured chocolate dips. I do like the idea of this place though. It's not just a plain old chocolate dip cone, you get cotton candy dips, salted caramel, dark chocolate.. the list goes on! They also allow you to sample their various dips beforehand. But imo, the dips are just way too sweet. Like you can't even taste the soft serve because that sugarbomb dip completely overpowers everything else. It's also just much too sweet in general, this is the type of sweet that requires you to drink a gallon of hot tea just to finish your dessert. The cones here come in a ton of sizes though - and I totally love that! I definitely recommend getting the Baby cone because eating anything larger might pose a bit of danger to your blood glucose levels. Also, it's kind of difficult to eat such a huge serving of sugary chocolate in one sitting. I'm sure those who have a super super super crazy sweet tooth will enjoy their dip cones. But for someone with just a slightly above average sweet tooth, I don't think I will be back for their dips anytime soon.

The smell of Chocolate is intoxicating! Chocolats Favoris is a happy place for chocolate lovers and anyone with a sweet tooth. I just could not resist getting a baby cone whenever I am in the area. The perfect size for me and I love how thick that layer of chocolate dip is! I could see this place brings a lot of happiness and smile to families with kids and any adults that wanted to have a treat. Staff always friendly and cheerful. I will be back!

I love this ice cream. Life is short, eat chocolate Holy cow the layer of chocolate that covers : smothers your cone or cup is redonculous. Service is always fast and although ice cream is always good in the summer it's a delicious winter snack too. So many dipping chocolate flavours to choose from. I do miss the Terry's chocolate orange flavour they use to have as it's been my fav since I was a kid. If you don't want Ice cream there's a ton of plane chocolate to choose from. 6/21/20 update. My first public gathering since March when all this began. Only appropriate that would be at Chocolate Favoris. Epic yum

Stopped in to try the dipped cones. We were a group of 5 and we left disappointed. I will give them props that they have menus on paper so you can decide what you want before you get to the counter. Once you order your Icecream you choose the dip at the end. The issue I have is that they are dipping the chocolate so thick it can't even dry before the ice cream starts melting. It was also extremely messy. Still by the end of me eating it still hadnt hardened. I think this is a good concept but it needs tweaking.

It is absolutely a chocolate heaven for kids and for adults :D You will certainly feel like a kid again when you come here lol. I'm very excited for Chocolats Favoris to join the neighborhood, welcome! It is located in the SE corner of St. John Sideroad & Bayview (same plaza as Levetto). First things first. Obviously had to try their famous chocolate dipped soft served ice cream! They came in 5 different sizes (baby, mini, small, medium, large) and in a cup or a cone. The mini was actually the perfect size for me as an afternoon craving ^^ Next, you choose the soft serve flavour. You can make it a twist with vanilla if you wish :) The maple twist was very delicious! Unfortunately, chocolate flavour soft serve or chocolate twist can only be done in a cup bc of the softer consistency. And finally, the dip! There are 12 different dip flavours available. You can sample a few before you dive in! I went for the Crunchy Hazelnut dip... very, very tasty. I also enjoyed the Creamy Coffee dip and S'mores dip samplers ^^ TBH, the dip was a bit too thick for me... it would be awesome if they have a lighter dip option aka a thinner coat. Overall, great place to satisfy your sweet cravings. Can't wait to come back and try the S'mores hot chocolate, artisan chocolates and their retail products. Keep up the great work :) P.S. FYI, Grand opening party Saturday March 4, 2017 at 1pm!! Come show your support ^^

This is the best dipped soft serve ice cream shop around. They specialize in chocolate, with a wide variety of products. The main event is the chocolate dipped cones. First you choose the size you want. Then the flavour of ice cream, vanilla, chocolate and 1 special flavour. I have had the maple and keylime offerings. Both were good. After that you can choose to have it dipped in a wide variety of chocolate flavours. There are some basic flavours like milk and dark chocolate and they usualy have 1 special dip flavour. I have had their Ruby and nanimo bar flavours. Yum! Unlike Cocao 70, which is way too sweet, this place's dip is just rich in chocolate flavour. I love the rotating special flavours and usually choose those to try. Once you find a dip you love, you can even buy a can on fondue for home to dip what ever you please!!! Awesome! I have also teied their truffles, which are also great! In the summer their patio area is open and you can just chill, chat and enjoy the ice cream. Never disappointed at this place! Yum!

I came to this place after seeing all the cute Instagram posts of the ice-cream they have and decided I had to try them for myself... This led to the worst sugar headache I have ever had in my life. Mini Birthday Cake Kooky Cone: This vanilla cone was dipped in white chocolate with sprinkles and topped with more sprinkles, a chunk of vanilla sponge cake and pink frosting. If that doesn't sound like diabetes, I don't know what does. I thought the dip was going to be super thin, but I was very wrong. The dip is super thick, almost the thickness of a hershey's chocolate bar and the white chocolate was extremely, unbearably sweet. Small Maple Kooky Cone: I thought the cone would have maple ice-cream but it was just vanilla ice-cream dipped in salted caramel chocolate. It didn't taste anything like salted caramel, it just tasted like milk chocolate. It was covered in popcorn pieces. This was also way too sweet. Service: The service we received was really good. Everyone was really nice and very helpful. Conclusion: this place has overly sweet dips on top of very average soft-serve ice cream. Get the baby size cone if you actually want to finish your ice-cream without dying of a sugar rush.

If chocolate and/or ice cream is your jam, you MUST visit Chocolats Favoris! I've visited a few times now and have come to the conclusion that the "mini" is really the only size cone that I have a hope in hell of finishing No added oils to their dips/topping, just pure delicious chocolate The shop is a cornucopia of sights and smells and the staff are all friendly and patient The vanilla soft-serve dipped in the Tanzania 75% dark chocolate will have you crying tears of joy Gift cards available- you'll want to give them to everyone!

Great location with strip mall parking. This is a cute store but be prepared for a sugar rush!!! A huge selection of everything chocolate. The specialty is the soft serve ice cream dipped in a candy coating coating that hardens. There are a number of ice cream flavors and coatings to choose from, as well as special combos. There are a variety of sizes to choose from and they all seemed pretty large to me. My daughter had the "baby" size and she couldn't finish! I didn't have anything myself so I can't vouch for the taste but my daughter and nephew both thought it was okay. Not fantastic but just okay. The steps to having a cone- 1. Choose your size 2. Choose ice cream flavor 3. Choose dipping. Other items on the menu include gelato, artisan chocolates, slush. sandwiches, floats and frozen bars. There are also a bunch of items for sale too. Chocolates of all shapes and sizes, lollipops, shavings and a variety of fondue flavors in cans. It's beautifully decorated with a very clean look, with factory style tubing (fake) giving that fresh vibe. Even has outdoor seating, however a view of the high street with mass traffic and construction isn't that great in my opinion. So far so good right? Well, I just wish it would be cleaner. Seems like a place like this would inevitably become dirty with melting ice cream and chocolate. More emphasis on cleanliness would be great because it really does look "sticky". Perhaps clean every hour? This seems to be an issue in every ice cream venue.

The fruit gelato wasn't overly sweetened, which usually indicates that they're using actual fruit rather than fruit juice/concentrate. The gelato was also super creamy and refreshing, but it didn't immediately melt in the humidity. Price wise, I was very pleased with the amount of gelato in their small size (and you can get 2 flavours). Staff were very friendly, open to providing multiple gelato samples, and I noticed that the owner even came out briefly to chat with a customer and graciously received feedback. The clean, modern aesthetic of this shop also gives you a sense that you've temporarily escaped the hustle & bustle of the nearby Yonge St plazas. They actually take painstaking care to label essentially everything as organic in the menu. It's actually almost comical. The food itself is quite good. The pasta tastes house made. The pizza dough also is house made but it does have crust reminiscent of frozen. The toppings do make up for this though. Service was on the slower side and it seemed the kitchen was in the weeds despite not being a packed house. Not sure if it's because of the ingredients but the prices are on the higher side, such as the sausage (essentially a short hotdog) with home fried for $16. Overall a good experience for the convenience of table service otherwise getting food from somewhere like Framboy and making it yourself would be a good equivalent. To be fair this is a 3.5/5 but half stars aren't possible.

The restaurant is brightly lit with lots of natural sunlight, the decor is a mix of elegance and rustic at the same time. It's got an open and inviting feel. Our server was fantastic - very patient with a large group like ours, able to tell us right off the bat what is and is not customizable, recommendations of when to order to ensure flow works out. Food: Charbroiled octopus - one of my favorite dishes I tried - perfectly cooked, has a nice char, good meaty bits but not chewy, has a really nice chili oil on it. I can not stress how much I recommend getting this if you enjoy seafood. 5/5. Chorizo appetizer - comes out in a little pig plate with an open flame underneath. The chorizo itself is good with a nice spice, dense meat. The best part of this dish (IMO) is the spiced apple sauce on the side that cuts the richness of the sausage with a sweet and tangy apple and a little spice kick. 4.5/5. Bread - fresh baked bread with butter, a pumpkin jam and cheese. Everything on that plate works so well together. I definitely recommend this as an all rounding pleasing appetizer - 5/5. Beets - the beets were fresh with a vibrant orange colour. The apple, walnut and goat cheese all work together. I do wish this dish had a bit more but it works. 4.5/5. Brussel sprouts - amazing deep fried brussel sprouts - makes me want to always deep fry them for life. The spicy harissa sauce works well with the sprouts. Crunchy peanuts on top add both a texture and nuttiness that is refreshing to the brussel sprouts. 5/5. Oysters - super fresh, absolutely delicious without any condiments needed. Loved them. 5/5. Paella - this is definitely large enough for 2 people to eat so consider sharing unless you have a monster appetite. As with all their plates, it is beautifully constructed. The shrimp are huge and meaty. Mussels are plentiful, lots of chorizo and bay scallops. The rice has that really nice briny seafood flavor from the broth. It was just a teeny tiny bit overly salty to my taste but it's cut with the dollops of sour cream. Has this really nice low level heat that just works without burning your mouth. 4.5/5. Lamb sirloin - great crust on the lamb and cook as well. Flavorful sear and crust on the lamb with a soft tender meaty interior. Can't go wrong with- 5/5. Branzino - delicious flaky and light with a great grill. If you're interested in a fresh fish, this is a good choice. Was a special on the menu - 5/5. Tip: Mr Puffs has stuffed puffs…read more I had only been to two Mr Puffs locations in my life. The one that I have frequented the most is by my workplace. The other was its Lansdowne Park location in Ottawa. I will admit that I stopped going to the one by my workplace. I don't know why. I really should go back to my habit of getting a box of hot-out-of-the-fryer puffs after work. These days, I have been reacquainting myself with Aurora. On Saturday, I was driving up Bayview Avenue and noticed a Mr Puffs sign next to an A&W. These two eateries occupy the old Panera Bread store that stayed vacant for the longest time. It was nice to see it spruced up with new businesses. After having a late lunch, I had placed a takeout order for dinner. Yes, I don't skip a planning beat with meals... haha! While waiting for my takeout order, I felt the need to swing by this Mr Puffs location. It's in a plaza that I used to frequent often a good decade ago. The Sheridan Nurseries across from this business used to be Michael-Angelo's, a grocery store that I loved getting Portuguese custard tarts from. I found a parking spot fairly close to Mr Puffs. I parked my car and then headed over to the store. There are two sets of doors to go through before you see the counter. There was a woman with three kids in front of me. It was perfect to go through the menu. There were new offerings. You can get stuffed puffs now. I wanted my usual crispy-chewy puffs, but I was excited to see new items. It offers a Dubai series of items. I may need to do Dubai puffs next time. I wanted a light snack. I went with twelve puffs. The woman taking my order was helpful and nice. I got apple cinnamon and raspberry puffs. Both glazes are comforting and yummy. I frankly don't think there is a glaze that I despise. The choco series is yummy, too. She asked for my name for the order. I like that touch rather than employing a number system. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. This store is spacious and nice. There was a group of six folks sitting around a circular table. It almost looked like they were having a group therapy session with puffs. There was also seating where the kids and mom were. This store has a ton more seating here than the Dixie location in Mississauga and has a more relaxed atmosphere than the Lansdowne Park location. There were two orders ahead of me. I got to check out branded drinkware. Mr Puffs now offers spreads in jars, such as hazelnut, pistachio, choco-loco (hazelnut and white chocolate), and more. Nice! It was great seeing puffs made in front of my eyes. I watched a male staffer glaze a box of thirty puffs. Yum! The woman called my name. I was excited. I thanked her and wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I safely secured my box of deliciousness in my car. I drove over to fetch my dinner order. Once I had that order in my car, I opened my Mr Puffs box to enjoy puffs that I haven't had in at least a year. I got fourteen of them. I always like when I get bonus puffs. I feel like I've won a jackpot of sorts. It's also nice that I got my favourite number of them. The puffs were heavenly. Crispy and chewy. The apple cinnamon had the perfect balance of apple goodness with comforting cinnamon. I appreciate that the glazes aren't too sweet. The raspberry was delicious. It looked like I had licked all the raspberry glaze at the bottom of the box when I was done. It was great enjoying some puffs again. I love this location. I'm not sure why the rating are so low. My experience was excellent, so maybe things have improved these days. (7)

However, when we finally did, we realized the Hazelnut Biscotti topping was missing. Additionally, I wish they had checked the box for cleanliness before handing it off.
