I tried this place on a recommendation. The shop is cute, and the staff was average nice. The display was exceptional, everything looked amazing. I tried three of the viral fruit shaped desserts, it was $45, ugh. The mango was the best, with real chunks of fruit, layered on top of a cake like bottom with mango filling and a thin layer of chocolate encapsulating the dessert. The lemon and strawberry were the same respectively, but with no fruit inside. They were all pretty, and I wanted to love these but, it was just ok for me and I probably wouldn't get them again. This is one of my niece's favorite spots for açai bowls and so we went here for lunch. It was pretty slow and it does seem to take some time for them to make it, but it was pretty decent. I got the divine açai bowl. It was hard to tell because it was also a cooler day and breezy to eat outside, but it allowed my dog to be out there with me too. It definitely has a younger vibe and more kitschy than maybe a place about food and flavor. There are definitely a lot of sweets options and maybe that would've been another thing to try. read more

Viral pistachio candy bar, ten out of ten! They are selling tons of them! I found out and rushed over there, so good. This is an adorable little cafe with a huge menu. All around a disappointment. I had high hopes of this place and wanted to treat my daughter after school and after spending a lot on just a few items we were so bummed out! So many fake colored items (like banana ice cream does not need to be fluorescent!) and in general TOO many items - this place has so much going on. I'll give it a little praise for its aesthetic being cute but for being in downtown Birmingham I expected it to be something special. Over looking the weird (and dirty) hospital type curtains in the back on the way to the (dirty) bathroom, and ignoring the intense music with a ton of curse words, the decor of this place is fun. And they had a nice Christmas tree! However, none of that matters when the food is mehhh. The macaron had a good texture to the shell but the Oreo one had such a weird taste - that over saturated food coloring taste and maybe an oil flavoring rather than just mixing actually oreos into the filling. YUCK. The crème brûlée macaron was not any better, in fact it had no flavor at all. Wow, what a high-priced-rip-off! I took my kiddo after some vaccines to get a sweet treat and this place caught her eye (of course it did with what looks like giant macaron swings. Both of which appeared to be slightly broken...) Let's start with the astronomical prices! 17-18 for a bowl of ice cream. Now, the girl that rolled it, she was sweet, but then she left half an ice cream roll on the tray instead of making it fit. I paid for that... You can only get vanilla based ice cream for the rolls. Not any of the flavors and ANY substitutions are immediately an up charge of a dollar. Second, the ABSURD chairs! My kid, who was NOT being goofy or silly or fooling around on the chairs, was tipped off TWICE because the aesthetic to this place was clearly the selling point. The chairs have 3 legs on a triangular base. What kid is this good for? You're an ice cream place... cater to your customers? There are BEEPERS for waiting for your ice cream. Again. It's ice cream. In the end, my kid couldn't get what she was hoping for, because you can also ONLY get rolled ice cream in the MED cup, and since I asked for mangos to be added, they immediately took it as a substitution for one of their sundaes for $18.02. I had considered a matcha latte before I saw the total, but that's another $9.00! No thanks. I'll have ice cream my kiddo can enjoy without falling out of the chairs that make up most of the dining area. (And yes, we did move to another seat, but she could barely reach the table because it's too far away from the booth seat. If you want fancy backgrounds for your Instagram page, have a ball I guess. It came out of the cold package like this.... Spilling out in every way....kinda ruined the whole experience for me. and the chocolate on the outside just isn't high quality. Beautiful place, everything was extremely clean and orderly. I was really just expecting a spectacular product. I ordered the viral Dubai Choco Covered Strawberries and it was okay. The chocolate was HEAVENLY, the strawberries were big but they tasted mid at best which I anticipated because they are winter time berries. I wasn't paying attention so after checking out and getting home I noticed the 26.50 I paid the dessert. lol. I may have waited until the Summer when berries are sweetest with that premium pricing..
