The restaurant can be easily overlooked if you're not a local or front the area. This is my third time going there. Twice I went there to eat. The first time year ago, I didn't a brunch. The second the lounge area is def a vibe and the dj was amazing on either Friday or Saturday night. Now recently I went OCT 2021 just to get a quick bite. This is a Haitian / Caribbean restaurant. As a Haitian, myself I maybe be bias. The food is good but not better than my mother/ grandmother's food. But it get the job done. The blue long island had me feeling a little tipsy which is good. The margaritas were straight juice or sugar water. The rice was okay and the great of the food was amazing. If I'm in the area, I would stop by but I won't go out my way to eat at Chloe's. read more

If you're looking for Haitian cuisine mixed with a Caribbean feel this spot is for you. Chloe's is a great lounge and restaurant, and the food hits extra different when there's a Haitian artist performance happening. If it's your first time I say get the Tassot platter with the Rum Punch. So good. Just sit back and enjoy the music. read more

This restaurant has a variety of foods offering Caribbean dishes. I highly recommend the seafood fried rice, jerk chicken wings, & seafood legume. I love coming on Tuesday's because of their Seafood Tuesday special menu. Their fruit smoothies are also really good. They also offer brunch on Sundays. read more

Ordered from Chloés through Uber Eats. They charged $25 for a Tassot Cabrit and gave a minuscule amount of meat, covered in so much pikliz. The meal was 95% rice, which should never cost this high. They also sent me pwa france instead of the pwa nwa I ordered. This is why Haitians can't support their own people. It feels like an intentional rip-off. Will not order from them again. read more

I ordered a Tasso Fritay. Though it was a whole $21 (over priced) I decided to give it a try. Let's just say I gave them a donation. The plantains were definitely old and cooked in cold oil. It was grey and soggy. It's supposed to be yellow and crisp! The akra and marinade were spicy AF! As if they blended a hot pepper in the batter. The Tasso was hard and dry. Never again! read more

I'm going to give this place another chance. Came here on a Tuesday for a friends birthday. No charge to get in but $5 charge for coat check. There is food available and I've heard about their seafood specials although we just came from dinner so we did not indulge in that. The restaurant has a club vibe to it. Very well kept, music was great. The service was kind of all over the place and there was no card accepted for hookah, the atm does not work and the corner store was closed. It's 2019, how y'all providing hookah and don't have a square, cashapp or intuit is beyond me. I will be back to hopefully change this review to 5 stars. read more

I came to this place 2 times. The first was when my cousin was visiting from the Carribbean. We had a table of 12 on a late Wednesday night. As it was everyone's first time, the waiter was patient when taking our orders and the food came out in a timely manner. The dishes looked and tasted great! They also do karaoke/game night on Wednesdays in the back which was very entertaining! I went back again last week Wednesday with my friend and we were seated near the door this time. After 20 minutes of no service, I figured we were forgotten and went back to the bar to ask if the waiter would be taking our order. A younger girl came over and took our drink and food orders. After about 10 minutes, she came back asking if we wanted to order drinks...we had to remind her we already did. She was apologetic and even upgraded our drinks for the wait. I then asked if we could change to a table closer to the front so we wouldn't be forgotten and she moved us. I asked her if she had a chance to put the food in and she said she did but we ended up waiting another 40 minutes for the food. I ended up sick the next day though, I think it was because I hadn't eaten the entire day before. I do plan on giving this place another try, maybe not when I'm so hungry. read more

I ordered griot and rice on 3/1/22. When I reached home, I was disappointed with the amount of griot I received in a small tin container. I spent $20 plus dollars on this meal. It tastes good but definitely a tease. On March 15, 2022, I decided to order again. This time, I asked about the portion of the griot. They said this is the portion they give. If I want more griot I have to pay an additional $13.00 for another portion in the aluminum tin. I was tired and didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered. That was the biggest mistake ever. I got so sick. I had food poisoning. I had stomach pain, hot cold sweat , vomiting, etc. I couldn't finish food. Griot was under cook. I called the next day to speak to a supervisor. The receptionist took my message. The supervisor never called me back. I called the next day , and they said to come after 6 pm. I arrived around 830 and no supervisor. The restaurant was closing . No call back or anything. You guys must learn to have better customer service. By the way, if you want extra gravy, they charge you a dollar read more

Had this place on my rador for quite some time. Finally found the perfect opportunity to go; Kompa night. Wasn't fond of the waiter moving my seat from one place to another due to my party size (3). The rum punch I has wiped away any and all concerns I had . Had the honey garlic wings after the buffalo wings failed on me friee of charge. I certainly see myself returning here in the near future. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with this place. I ordered from Chloes a few times and the food portions are inconsistent, hence the reason for the one star rating. Today I ordered griot with sweet plantains and received very few pieces of griot with about 5 small pieces of plantains. AND they have the nerve to charge $15!!! I will no longer order food from here because the portions doesn't fit the price! Oh well, guess I have to go to another Haitian Restuarant. At least I'll have money left over for a soda and it will still be under $15. read more

Went to brunch with friends. We were greeted with some Kompa music, played by a live DJ. We were seated immediately in a nice booth area that made us feel VIPish. Lol And the waitresses were really nice and attentive to our needs. I had a mimosa that was more of sparkling orange juice. And was a little disappointed in the red velvet waffles, for my 1st time having them. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and delicious. As we had to just ask them to cook the chicken a little longer. The Chef greeted us and was very accommodating to our "good criticism" They just started the brunch. So they were thankful for it. As there's always room for improvement. read more

I just came back from handling something and I'm with my underage cousin. I'm thinking where can I can get some good food without having to worry about him being carded and then it hit me -- Chloe's! My first visit here was on a whim on a Monday night and I was blown away how a place can be so packed and fun on a Monday night in the Winter! I was then informed that it was coincidentally many birthdays being celebrated hereat the same time. Needless to say, the first impression was a positive lasting one. I love this venue, and "hate" it at the same time. It was an older venue by the name of Ambiance which was all dim and so until a group of young folk bought the venue and completely transformed it! It's amazing now how different it is. It's a restaurant with a lounge/club feel after hours(11p). Great spacing and they've made ideal use of the spring for adequate seating with a moderately sized rear that doubles as a dance floor at night where they specialize in mostly Haitian music, however play everything else as well. To be honest however, the food is good, but nothing to rave about as I'm not the only to complain that it takes eons to come out whether it be packed or only a few people here(ridiculous)! The service is slow and at times immensely frustrating! However I still support the business as it is still very fairly new. The best dish I've had here so far are the jerk wings which I may add not only tastes good, but pack a nice kick! All in all, I'm of course biased because I'm of Haitian descent by way of my parents, so I'm prone to like this place even more. Nevertheless it's cool. Wednesday nights is game night where they turn the back area full of tables of connect four, cards, and a pool table!! Monday nights are the best where it's the busiest I believe and when many functions are thrown! So if you're looking for a place to go to on a Monday night to have fun(rare)! Chloe's is the spot! Pretty bartenders, moderately priced food and drinks, TV's, and great ambiance! 3 stars in hopes that there's room for improvement and that the improvement becomes a reality and something this venue will strive for or else my frequent visits here will be drastically minimized. I still love you Chloe's! read more

Chloe's - WAY TOO DRY Jerk Chicken Breast (seasoned with spices, browned and cooked in a rich sauce) rice substituted with vegetables. - Caribbean Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Ok so let me start by saying despite reading other poor reviews on this place I decided to give it a try as the reviews were quite mixed. Yesterday around 6:45pm I arrived with a friend and was seated promptly after the host seated the party of 3 that walked in b4 us. After sitting at our table for approximately 10mins waiting on our waiter who never showed and then looking over at the party that arrived b4 us to see if they were addressed and OF COURSE NOT!! I then tried to get someone's attention but everyone was so busy out of about 5 employees. The host at this point is being the bust girl and cleaning the table of a party that was leaving when we walked in,and when she finally completed that she then became the waiter of the party of 3. After observing the way things were operating my friend and I both was unanimous in our decision to sit at the bar cause who knows how long it would have taken her to get to us.I should also mention we were the only 2 parties present with the exception of 2 fellas at the bar. 15-20mins in we're at the bar. I had the" Fu*k it great drink , my gf had the "Under D Sea fishbowl". The food ordered calamari for our appetizer it was pretty decent. For the entree's my gf had the "seafood pasta" it was terrible the dish overall lacked seasoning just not good. I ordered the red the red snapper with rice and beans and was told the fish is made to order so it will take a while. 20-30mins goes by and my food is here,2 bites into the fish I start tasting it's salty but I'm trying anyway by the third bite I can't handle it this fish is super salty. So I reach over and softly express my concern to the bartender/ manger (which I found out after the fact), she says no problem I'll take care of it the whole team disappears for 15-20mins and come back with my fish at this point we're just ready to leave. I asked for my fish to go when I get home discovered it was the same fish I guess they tried to water down ask me how I know???? Besides the fact it was still salty as fuck... when I gently scraped the veggies off the fish there stood the marks from the forkfuls I took. I surly won't be returning! I had so much hope for this place! read more

I've never been to any Haitian restaurant where the servers do not speak Creole. Not only they did not bother to even ask if I need anything at the bar, the servers were rude and unprofessional . What a shame, I'm sure there are beautiful, professional Haitian girls they could have hired as servers. That was some experience. No wonder why 4-5 people showed up on a Saturday night. The food was also awful. May be the cook is not Haitian either...SMH read more

Although our waitress wasn't focused and her manager seem to have an attitude problem when asked questions about the drink selection.....I must say our food and drinks were delicious! I ordered the henny wings, honey glazed salmon with the seafood rice. I really had to contain myself when eating everything. I had enough to take home so the next morning I found my self eating the seafood rice cold ( I was hung over ) and the rice was still so moist and good even straight out the refrigerator lol let's just say I will be back very soon ! Seriously, how is it that the restaurant canceled my order, called and assured me they made a mistake in canceling and that they'd have my food delivered only to find out 2 hours later that they fully canceled the order and that the food would not be coming. I mean this is absurd... And this is a restaurant that my family and I supported through the rough COVID19 times by ordering from them almost daily and this is how I'm treated! I am so disappointed in this place and the people there. It's just a very bad client experience for a restaurant who needs the support of the community to stay in business. Order 1. Griot w/ white rice, plantain, fritters and pickled cabbage. 2. Honey salmon w/ seafood fried rice 3. Shrimp Rasta Pasta Everything was tasty and I would recommend. The serving of seafood fried rice was a ridiculously large portion! The shrimp rasta pasta only came with 6 shrimp which wasn't a great proportion for the amount of pasta that came with it. My favorite was the griot and all of its accompaniments, everything was in abundance and tasted really good. read more

If you live in Brooklyn, you're Haitian you either been, heard or even passed by this restaurant. Even if you're not Haitian but if you have Haitian friends or even live in Canarsie I'm pretty sure it applies. I was ashamed to not even tried it meanwhile I'm always in Canarsie (have family and friends that lives in Canarsie) The fact that I'm Haitian and knows some of the DJS that shares their art there. The ambiance is real nice, the decor - beautiful, the music (DJ did an awesome job). The food - yes it was good. The drink I had was a simple vodka tonic and the person I was with had baileys. Maybe next time when I visit again I'll try something different but my drink was up to standard and the food (Fritay) was good - the somewhat of a downfall was I had to pay extra for meat in my Fritay meanwhile I know it's supposed to come with it. Also the person I was with ordered BBQ chicken tenders yet they brought out regular dried-up tenders. I appreciate the waitress Sabine apologized and brought him the right thing he ordered. Our waitress was very polite and patient-that's a plus in my book. Most importantly they have an A from the health department which tells you a lot about a restaurant - hope they keep that up. Their bathroom is a little too small and not fancy like I expected to be-a little boring too but I can deal with that. I would definitely recommend this place for large group of friends or that special one. .....oh did I mentioned I missed brunch with unlimited mimosa by 20mins? Oh yeah I did lol - next time. read more

If you want good Haitian food & nice vibe but it's not like my grandma's cooking but it's good enough!

A friend and I went to dinner Sunday evening at about 6:00PM. We were properly seated. I ordered a Malibu on the Rocks. They "garnished" it with 2 bing cherries. Pretty yes, but they turned the rum pink and the coconut rum became "cherry coconut rum". We ordered "Lambi" from the menu but there was none. So we proceeded to order the "oxtails". As I am not a rice or plantain eater, I asked just for a salad. The food does not come with a salad, So you have to pay for a side salad. The waiter was nice but tried to speak to the manager, Extremely rude young lady. Walked out and they lost 2 customers. My friend and I instead went to an Asian restaurant in Howard Beach. After I had almost finished my food the waitress asked me how was everything. I told her the string beans were a little on the salty side. The manager came to me and did not know what to do to make things right. Great difference in customer service. read more

Had to delete a star because online the menu says they have conch frittters and when i called to confirm they said they had them as well. When I went in to order they said they had codfish fritters, whatever that is and that the menu online was old and yehefofe had no conch fritters. We made the best of it. The staff was pleasant; always greeted us with smiles. The drinks were made well (Malibu bay breeze and Chloe's signature drink). The food was really good; the corn bread was delicious but deceptively filling; we both ordered salads (mistake; huge portions; one salad is good enough to share with two or three); the salad was served with no dressing (another reason for losing a star) and their choices of dressing are not very appealing (Italian French and island) the food portions are very large (can also feed two) i had the honey glazed salmon with a spicy seafood rice; if you can't handle spice stay away; the appetizer (delicious wings) and dishes we had were very spicy (i enjoyed but the wife didn't). My wife had the red snapper and whatever they served it with had her mouth burning badly and it ruined her meal. Whatever they fried the snapper in is also spicy. I enjoyed it as I can handle and very much enjoy spicy food but i can't say the same for my wife. Very disappointed that they didn't have conch fritters as advertised and erroneously confirmed via phone. In all fairness my food was delicious and I'd order it again but my wife will definitely pass. read more

Went in Saturday afternoon at about 2, they didn't seem busy as I was one of 3 ppl waiting for their pick up orders. I ordered at 210, took almost an hour to get my food, mind you I didn't order anything fancy. Also they have this silly rule that you can't order fish over the phone, my son wanted a red snapper and I was told it has to be ordered in the restaurant. Seriously, why am I ordering pick up then, to still have to wait anyway? Also, they messed up my order, I called for a refund, but I won't hold my breath. Overall, food wise what I actually got that wasn't wrong was good. The young lady who took my order was also pleasant, but they could fix a few things. read more

I'm so over this restaurant. The food is soooooooo dry. I have ordered numerous times thru Ubereats and my order is always lacking. I keep ordering because the griot is very flavorful but u need sauce on the rice and griot but they are so extremely stingy with the sauce if you don't go there in person. I have written in my comments on Ubereats, I have actually called the restaurant before my Ubereats order was prepared and they STILL don't pay any mind to what u ask for and are actually PAYING FOR. I always say no pilkliz and to add 2 extra sauces for my griot and rice because it is too dry and they still send pikliz and still send only ONE sauce that equals to maybe a tablespoon. I want 3 and if I have to get charged for it then so be it. When u order from restaurants and say gravy on the rice, they actually put gravy on the rice or they ASK u if u want gravy.. Chloe's just refuses to take heed to ur requests. I don't want fried meat with rice and no gravy. IT'S TOOOOOOO DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The worker who answers the phone actually hung up on me when I called to complain about dry rice and no extra sauce. That was so rude that it made me not order form them for a long time. I only ordered last night because I really like the griot and had a taste for it. I'm going back to not patronizing this restaurant because i'm sick of paying for stuff and not getting what I'm asking and paying for. read more
