My phone was unknowingly on silent and I accidentally missed the call when the driver buzzed me to open the lobby door. I noticed the missed call and I met him when he was leaving the package at my door and he gave me an attitude about it saying in an angry tone 'why didn't you answer the call...". Scam. Avoid. 8 business days and USPS is still waiting on my package to ship from Chit Chats. I paid for priority shipping.

I have been a chichats client for a number of years. In the last 4 months I have shipped 300+ parcels with them and spent over $4000. I recently sent a parcel from Aurora to Toronto with them on Dec 6 and it was returned to me 23 days later as not deliverable. Their courier made 3 attempts to deliver the parcel to a business in Toronto. All attempts were made between 1 AM and 5AM! Where is the sense in delivering the second time and a third time in the middle of the night! I was then charged another $15+ to return the parcel to me. Chitchats takes on responsibility to deliver when they accept our parcels. Delivering in the middle of the night is not reasonable, but to repeat this 3 times is ridiculous. I am out over $30 for the non-delivery of the item and have one very unhappy client. The wonderful customer service that was a hallmark of chitchats in the past has completely gone. No one to speak to, no apologies, absolutely the worst customer service. I have spent thousands of dollars with chitchats and loyalty counts for nothing. Do not use Chitchats for Toronto deliveries! Canada Post delivers in the daytime!!. Please do not respond with some pathetic, honey-coated computer garbage. I am available for a human conversation at any time! read more

I tried to send an electronic tablet to Brazil from Canada, but Chit Chats later stated that US Customs rejected it and it was sent to a disposal facility at 2045 NIAGARA FALLS BLVD STE 4 NIAGARA FALLS NY 14304-1675 United States. From what I see, many unknown businesses are using this address. I suspect that when packages arrive at the Chitchats hub they are tampering with the package to ensure that US Customs rejects the package, which then allows the package to be sent to their collection facility. the customer service is trash. As a first time customer I called technical support twice for their assistance to set up printing labels on my thermal printer. They said mine wasn't compatible and there was no work around on my Mac. I then called back for their assistance with a word computer. the sent me an email telling me to follow the steps. No guidance. After it not still not working I was told it may not work she never did the steps before. Literally no direction just silence as I was expected to read through the email. Call ended no resolution. I opted to print in on my laser still the same issue remained. I have used my printers on alternative platforms. Really diappointed. I hope I get my money back and I will just send with my regular supplier. Absolute trash. I was so excited my business is expanding to us customers I had high hopes. I've been a customer of chit chats since the beginning when they had one branch in richmond and norma and vicky were at the helm there. Those were the good times. Now as they have grown there customer service and services have sadly declined. The last straw for me was when they recently did a package check to ensure what customers are saying they are shipping is what they are shipping. During the opening the employer cut a pair of woman's shorts, essentially damaging a brand new item. They solution would be to either cancel the order and refund my shipping or refund 1/2 of the declared value and ship the item (me paying for the s&h). Neither of those are a realistic solution for so many reasons. What about my customer who would either get no shorts or damaged shorts? How about any negative feedback I'd received on ebay...does chit chats even factor in the many variables they have caused by their careless inspectors at the vancouver branch? I've waited and waited for them (over a month) to rectify they situation, which should have been a full refund and shipping the item out on their dime. They met me halfway by refunding 1/2 of price and refunding the shipping but that doesn't sit well with me after I've literally referred dozens of people to their service over the years and they should have gone beyond to fix this problem since it was their doing. So much for rewarding longstanding customers... very disappointed and have cut back using them about 95% of my shipments right now until they take full responsibility for their actions. read more

On July 18 Chit Chats announced that effective July 31 they will no longer support Amazon integration with the platform. Meaning that sellers' Amazon orders won't import anymore. The reason for this, according to Chit Chats is that "Amazon's Seller Central has undergone significant recent updates that make it incompatible with the Chit Chats platform." This very vague explanation makes no sense for a number of reasons, especially given that all of the other platforms have no issues at all. For example, Shippo, ShipStation, Stamps.com, Shipworks and Shippingeasy (just to name a few) are still supporting full Amazon integration. I fail to see how Chit Chats cannot continue with Amazon integration when all of the others are carrying on without any problems. Coincidentally Chit Chat also announced on June 14 that effective August 1, all USPS shipments have to be purchased as "Chit Chats U.S. Tracked." The "USPS First Class Package " option disappeared. Obviously it makes one wonder, given the dates, that these two changes are somehow linked and that this change to "Chit Chats U.S. Tracked" is actually the reason Amazon syncing stopped working. Either way, it's mind-boggling that Chit Chats doesn't have the technical capability to continue with Amazon integration since all of the other platforms are still offering it. Because of this, Amazon sellers now have to either download an Amazon orders spreadsheet, make modifications and upload it to Chit Chats, or create manual orders, both of which are very time consuming. As well, all tracking numbers now have to be copied and pasted back into Amazon in order to complete the order process. In spite of all of this extra work, sellers are not being offered a price reduction for their Amazon orders even though the time necessary to purchase the shipping has more than doubled. I've been a Chit Chats customer for years and started long before they had an functioning website that integrated with selling platforms. I've never seen a company of this size and scale reduce their services as time goes on. One would think that as time goes on, the company would want to improve instead of get worse. Considering that Amazon is the biggest platform for third-party sellers, this recent change can only be viewed as regressive (and unfathomable). read more

Our local branch person is great, always big smile and ready to help. The company itself is not very well managed. Friday Dec 8th, I went to drop off my packages and was told by the branch person that Chitchats can no longer ship knifes internationally. So okay, when is the effective date, nobody know. The company never sent out anything advising customer. Of course, on that Friday, i got a message that one of my shipment is on hold because it contains blades. So you don't let your customer know ahead time, you just hold their shipments. Good job, Chitchat. I will be looking for other carriers for sure for not only my international shipments but my cross border US shipments. read more

I have been using Chit Chats for small parcels across Canada, USA, and occasional International destinations. I probably have used the service hundreds of times by now, and it has been extremely beneficial, making delivery viable again where domestic and postal rates to the US would otherwise be prohibitive. Even International delivery options are welcome alternatives. Service is extremely fast, the website is quite clear and straightforward; having a weigh scale and printer is just about all that is required! I recognize there is always the chance for misunderstanding with a new service - and their products might not suit every situation - but overall I am completely satisfied and highly recommend the service. We absolutely need more competitive rates for small parcels within Canada. If the local Chit Chats location is conveniently located to you, I would highly recommend you give the service a try! read more

I've been using chit chats for years without complaint, but I had to leave them recently. The way in which they handled the covid19 shipping issues was really, really terrible. They should have been more transparent about shipping delays - a package within my own city was taking 1.5 months to arrive. Whereas if I chose a different service, it would only be marginally more expensive, and arrive within a week or less! If you're facing ridiculous delays, then inform your customers right away that you're facing these kinds of delays and that they should take their business elsewhere until YOU figure it out. Instead, they kept accepting packages as if nothing was wrong, and we assumed the packages would be delayed for perhaps a few days. I have packages that were sent in MAY that still haven't arrived until JULY. It's ludicrous. I would suggest using some of their competitors like Cross Border Pickups or Stallion Express. Way more postage options and sometimes even cheaper for USA and Canada. read more

What a total farce! I bought an item on Amazon on Nov 2 with delivery via Canada Post expected Nov 16. It hadn't arrived by Nov 23 so I contacted the seller who replied: "we have contacted our Canada post 3rd party shipper to investigate the delay, and they advised us that there was a post issue, but its has bean corrected and your package is on its way to you, should be delivered this coming week." Chit Chat, compared to other companies obviously is cheaper for smaller businesess but their insurance does everything possibly to not pay for any products lost or damges . which is not relible. they offer insurance but is just a name .after submitting all the necessary (custom information ,products images, customers communication ) you name it still they refused to cover the cost . I decided to use them for the first time to ship Christmas presents to my family over sea and I ended up with my package delivered to their depot to get disposed of but the tracking showed as delivered, after asking for an explanation they said that I didn't properly provide what was inside that package, which is false because it was on the label, and after telling them again what was inside and willing to pay for another label they said that they couldn't do anything even if the package was at their depot and it ended up destroyed, they also admitted that before shipping they checked the package to see if there was any shipping information but it was shipped anyway, maybe because there wasn't any missing information??? so they won't refund my shipping cost and the package is lost. I shipped so many packages with the same description with other couriers and never had a proble, and if any information was missing normally you get contacted and fix the problem you don't simply mark the package delivered and destroy it!!!! stay away from this shipping company read more

They tried to claim that either Canada Post or the seller were at fault but the last tracking scan was the parcel arriving at their facility. A lower end courier. It took 3 weeks for it to arrive after shipping from Mississauga to Saskatoon. I refused package upon delivery last week. It was sent to Calgary and back to Mississauga as it was mis-sorted. The lady on the phone I was talking to thought it was funny.. it's funny until you're in that other person's shoes. I've been an eBay buyer for 15 years and a huge online buyer.. FedEx is the only great courier out there.. I'd pay a bit more to have great tracking, efficiency, and great all around service. Never one problem with FedEx in all my purchases. It's honestly frustrating that no couriers these days are punctual and reliable except for FedEx. There's a reason why FedEx is sponsored by NHL, PGA golf, and Nascar.. the best courier company. Also it's frustrating being a customer and your employees screw up by mis-sorting and there's zero accountability or compensation. With FedEx, they priortize their customers and there's a reason why they're a 5 star courier and you guys are 2 star. Terrible. They sit on packages for a week before they even start moving in transit. Once they do they pass it off to Canada Post anyways. I thought I would try an alternative...First and last time. The expected time of delivery they gave me was 2 - 8 business days. This was a Christmas gift I was sending across the country. Still domestic though. I dropped the parcel off at their facility on Dec 9. They entered it into their system right away. Today is Dec 21 and the latest update they have is that it will arrive on Dec 30. Tracking updates have been few and far between... I have gone through all the reviews on the internet and saw that there were way more negative comments and it was really scary. But due to the lockdown, we had no other way to send our shipments to the US and we have gone with ChitChats. After about 2000+ deliveries, I can tell you that we never had a single issue or a package being lost. ChitChats has just made our lives much easier! we're loving it and plan to continue with them even after lockdown ends(although price-wise, we do have to pay them $1 more compared to us shipping directly to USPS, the ease we got by using them is definitely worth it) Don't hesitate, try them out! read more

ChitChats allows us to ship to the US and internationally via USPS, which is much cheaper than using Canada Post. It's a big part of our logistic solutions with our online and wholesale business in the US. Location hours is great with Monday and Thursday opening late. May 2022, Kitchener, I ordered a package from Amazon from Brantford, a half hour drive from me, on the 4th. The shipper used Chit chats, they moved it to a chit chat facility in Hamilton, an hour away, "in the wrong direction" on the 6th. Today the 9th, tracking says they moved to another chit chats facility in a neighboring town even further away, Burlington. Their tracking website says they are going to use Canada post for last mile delivery.. Chit Chats Delivery strategy appears to be: Spend days moving an item farther, and further, away from its destination, and then finally mail it? Why does the shipper not just skip that, and mail it themselves? - I order from Amazon daily, and have never had a package do crazy detours like this in Canada. read more

Just terrible...I made a purchase on reverb through a seller "Music N Gear". They indicated they shipped my purchase the same day with a Canada Post tracking number. 6 days later I checked the tracking and Canada Post website indicates there is no such package with that number. Turns out "Music N Gear" just handed over the package to Chit Chats who have now been sitting on the package for the past 7 days.
