My package stayed in their warehouse for over a week before being handed off to usps where its one more week before it arrives. In total, almost 15 days wait with chit chats while it would have been closer to 6 days with usps. read more

Really poor customer service. I was really happy with service when they first came to Calgary but it has gone down hill. Too many lost packages that don't make it to the border so insurance won't cover. No help from disinterested staff, Difficult to get help at HQ. Absolutely terrible service. I have no idea why this business exists. They're simply a middle man for your product and every mail company. And they had my product at their warehouse for 30 days before it shipped. The receiving address it was supposed to mail to was 30 kilometres away from the shipping address. Slooow... The status of my package made it to their facility to be sent out to me and its been in limbo for 3 weeks. I drove past the facility 4 times already. Disappointed and frustrated with delays. Not even a courtesy status to tell me "delayed". They extended the average delivery time on their site from 14 to 45 days now. Very slow delivery. I use this delivery provider for a small business. The low cost was what internested me, and it's also recommended by Etsy which is where I host my business online. I mailed out a package from Ontario to BC and it's been two weeks and still says not delivered. This is a great way to get a bad review for a small business owner. Not worth the risk at all. I'd rather pay the few extra dollars and get it delivered with Canada Post in 2-3 days. read more

This shipper lost my $500 (Product + Shipping). They lost my package. Took nearly a month to realize it and are passing the buck to my 'seller'. Avoid them at all costs. I also want to point out that I waited a long time for the seller to assemble my shipment for delivery (13 months) only for them to carelessly lose it. First time coming here to this location. I wasn't familiar with the new process as I haven't used chit chat for many years since the first location in Ontario. The staff here at the Richmond location are all very friendly and patient. Explained the process to me patiently and helped me get my package out. Can't recommend them enough for anyone needing to ship to the USA. Way cheaper than Canada Post and sure beats the service too. read more

I depend on Chitchats for delivery to the U.S. from BC and their rates are much cheaper and faster than Canada Post. However in recent months the time from drop off to when a shipment reaches USPS in Blaine for further processing has been getting longer and longer. Not happy with this situation, and neither are my customers. Hoping they can rectify this soon. read more

Package shipped from ON to AB with this company. Its been 12 days and the item still has not arrived. Took 8 days for thd tracking info to update saying it left ON. It arrived in Calgary (3 hours away) 2.5 days ago and still hasn't made it to me. They're worse than Canada Post, and I didn't believe that possible. Considering they were only 15% cheaper than purolater, which got me a package from the same area in 2 days, I suggest you spend the little extra and go with a better company. In the future, when I purchase online, I will always ask what company they ship with before purchasing. If their answer is chit chats, I will not be a customer of theirs. DO NOT RECOMMEND WHATSOEVER. Tracking showed my package being held at a facility for 2 weeks before I finally messaged them. Getting through to customer service was a nightmare in itself, and I was told that they never actually received my package and only the electronic shipment. what?! I contacted my seller and Chitchats told them that it appears my package was actually sent to New York rather than their facility in Ontario that it originally showed to be held at. Now they're saying it'll be sent BACK to the same facility, and then to me! Has now been over a month and my tracking has not been updated, god only knows where my package is at now. read more

I was waiting on a package that used chit chats. It was mailed on the 2nd and not processed and sent on from Chit Chats until the 15th! That is ridiculous. Buyers beware of sellers that use Chit Chats. Sellers, you'd do better to charge a little extra to ship/drop off directly in the post yourselves. (As a buyer, I'd rather pay a little more for guaranteed shipping than a little less & just waiting.) read more

Chit chats is possibly the worst absolute WORST, service to use for mailing. Tracking is complete BS. Got a package that had arrived only for tracking to say it delivered FOUR DAYS LATER. Chit chats should not be your first choice, second or even third. I recommend walking your package across canada before you use this service. read more

I used to rave about Chit Cats and told my friends to use them until the past couple months. For starters, the Vancouver location moved across Clark Dr. to a location where you will find no parking. The past three times I've been there I've had to park illegally or more than half a block away. One would think the first priority for a business that is a drop off would be a location where customers can easily park and drop things off, but whoever decided this block was great to relocate to obviously didn't consider this at all. There's two visitor spaces in the back you say? Those were already occupied when I arrived at the location before they even opened at 8:45 AM. Now onto the kicker, I logged into my account after being on vacation and saw a vague chat support message about no longer accepting "3rd party labels" starting August 1st. I was floored, could this be any more obtuse? For some of my shipments, the only economical way to ship them was via FedEx SmartPost, and I saw that Chit Chats doesn't sell FedEx shipping to the US, only USPS and UPS. I had to extract the answer from them that this meant they are no longer accepting FedEx shipments and Nikeita went on about a goal about being a one solution provider or what not. OK, I get that you want to make more money by selling the postage as well, but your implementation of this left much to be desired and reeks of covering this major change up until your customers actually notice on August 1st. For one it couldn't have been any more vague, spell it out, say that we will have to purchase postage from you directly, and not via the eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc platforms. Why does it feel like you are covering this up? For one this a major change, there's zero mention of it in any service update blogs, nor did I get any emails about it. Such a major change warrants a couple of months notice to prepare customers for it but instead, your company sends out a vague chat message but saw fit to write a whole blog post about dimensional weight. read more

I used Chits Chats when they first opened up and had no issues, then I went and shipped two items on the same day at the same time: One is Canada Post through them, dropped off the item, took video of the drop off and at the same time dropped off an item to be shipped USPS. My 2nd item is tracking on the USPS site, it shows that my item was dropped off, when it left Canada, when it arrived in the US Blaine WA location. My local item? That was going within the same province (BC)....nothing, the tracking number doesn't register on Canada Post, the buyer is angry with me and doesn't believe it's been shipped. It shows on Chit Chats site as received THREE DIFFERENT TIMES ON ONE DAY! How is it that one item is already in the US yet my Canada Post/CHit Chats item is still sitting in the same Richmond, BC warehouse and hasn't moved outside of their building yet has moved within the building 3 different times throughout the day? I'm going to lose a client. You have zero way to contact Chit Chats. Matter of fact, I'll be driving out there to walk through the warehouse to find my item, get it back and not lose my reputation with the client. The people are nice, friendly but the head office is well aware of the problems within their own tracking system. Last time I ship through them. Fix my problem. read more

Package from the SW GTA to London, about 100km. First they sent the package 50km in the wrong direction, then they held it at their warehouse for several days, doing nothing. Then they just pass it off the the Canadian Postal Service. So it is the identical service as if you just mailed it with Canada Post, except they charge their middleman fee to hold on to it for a few days. Bizarre, how does this company even exist, they don't actually do anything. Still haven't received my package, if I had known the seller would use Chit Chats I would have driven to pick it up. read more

I have been using them for over a year and it has been good for the most part. Unlike some of the other reviews I've never had any issues with delayed parcels -once those parcels are in USPS's hands Chit Chats job is done and it is a USPS issue. My biggest issue is being overcharged when I send large or heavy parcels, often by $30 or more. For those items I will be switching to UPS as they are actually significantly cheaper. As for customer service only call them -their reps are great. Never ever contact them by email as the clowns they employ for email support should all be fired as should their boss who obviously pays no attention to what they do. They will not bother reading what you wrote and will give you a lame answer that -guaranteed- does not answer your question. Don't bother including an attachment as they -also guaranteed- can't be bothered to read it as it probably distracts them from running outside to smoke a joint. read more

I have a few ecommerce businesses and I've been using Chit Chats in the Vancouver branch for a few months now. I was greeted by this Indian girl who was rude to me every time. Never once did she say hi, never smiles, obnoxiously rude and I've been told by Norma (from another branch) that she opened my parcels to investigate what I was shipping over the border. I am aware of the US customs law where I am not allowed over $800 USD worth of goods over the border. My products NEVER exceeded $800 USD yet Chit Chats accused me of lying because I was shipping parcels to the Amazon warehouse in the US. My products were always under $800 bought from my suppliers overseas but according to them, I was only allowed to ship $800 USD in RETAIL price and NOT what I paid for from my supplier. I looked on the US customs website and it states that individuals are SUPPOSED to claim the amount in which they PAID for. Norma calls me and tells me that this is incorrect and that their contract with the US customs is that all Amazon shipments are supposed to be $800 RETAIL PRICE (what is listed on Amazon). The rude Indian girl opened my packages and even went on Amazon's website to look for my product trying to prove that my products were way above $800. How unprofessional is that? This company is accusing me of lying based off what OTHER sellers on amazon are listing the same product price is at. They said there's no way my product is this cheap because OTHER sellers listed it at a higher price. I even told them I can PROVE to them that I sold my products at literally $0.30 cents because products need to be listed super low in order to gain sales velocity on Amazon. Norma then forced me to change my prices on my commercial invoices in case US customs will pull them over for bringing over my goods. In my mind I'm thinking, what is there to change? The value I put is TRUE. I argued with her saying just because OTHER sellers are selling it for a higher price, it does not mean that I am listing my products at their price. I told her I won't be using Chit Chats any more and her response was "well that's your choice!" Wow! What great customer retention (sarcasm). First, my parcels were opened and investigated, then, I was accused by Norma and the rude Indian girl that I was lying about my value written on my parcels - even when I had receipts from suppliers proving I was not lying, and then I was FORCED to change information on my commercial invoice. Norma says that I must put Amazon as the "consignee". LOL do these people have any idea how Amazon operates? Amazon REJECTS all parcels if you use them as a consignee! Forums about this topic are everywhere on google! The Indian girl told me to use THEIR address from the US as the exporter on my commercial invoice but Norma then told me this is incorrect and that I have to put my Canadian address. I find it hilarious how both branches give me false information and are not even trained thoroughly enough to give me straight answers about this company they represent. I have absolutely no idea what's true because these rude women who work here are so uneducated and don't know what they are talking about. Vancouver also told me that I do NOT need to include an invoice on anything under $300 going to Amazon but then the next time I went there, they told me that everything going to Amazon requires an invoice, lol. Then they blame it on me and are rude to me saying that I needed an invoice from now on (Wtf?). Chit Chats should not even be allowed to ship over parcels going to Amazon because they clearly don't know what is allowed and what is not allowed by Amazon (eg. Using Amazon was consignee). I have a multi six figure business on Amazon in the US and these people who work at Chit Chats think I don't know what I am talking about when it comes to filling out commercial invoices. I've sent HUNDREDS of parcels over the US customs with no issues because I put MYSELF as the consignee. I should not have been FORCED by Norma to change it. Norma also tells my boyfriend (who uses their service as well) that not all his parcels can go to Amazon on the same day because she accused him of lying too and that the value was "too high" on the parcels. And that she would have to send only 1 parcel a day for 4 consecutive days so it doesn't raise any red flats for border patrol. She told me that if she sent over all 4 parcels on the same day that Chit Chats may possibly get fined with $10,000 because it is over the value limit. Again, what we were sending is NOT over the value limit but I'm not going to argue about this any more. And the Indian girl at the Vancouver branch needs to stop being rude to me. I was told by Norma that I also need to send her information about my situation so she can double check with someone in Ontario. I'm now thinking I don't owe this company anything after they've accused me of so many things on so many levels. Do NOT use this shipping carrier. read more

Never shipped parcels thru Canada Post at Chit Chats Express. You will never get an updated postal tracking number from Canada Post until the parcel is in the province's post office. Even Chit Chats handle the parcel to Canada Post , there is no chance that Canada Post will ship it on that day too and it can drag on for days or maybe weeks. At the present I have 5 packages that should have delivered in two business days but it is dragging over a week and more.Some of the parcels were only a half hour drive from where we shipped it. Customers are complaining that the orders are not shipped and are demanding refunds. When the customers see the postal tracking number from Canada Post it states only the shipping label is created and Canada Post has not received the parcel. When they received the parcel, the postal tracking will be updated. But in fact, Chit Chats has said that they have given Canada Post days ago. Our customers do not believed in Chit Chats postal tracking and relies only on Canada Post's postal tracking. Chit Chats has replied very fast but made many excuses such as the sorting machine is broken down in Mississauga or that their is shortage of labour. This is not the situation and I have stop using Chit Chats and have shipped directly from Canada Post. From Canada Post, it takes then take the next business day from Toronto to Ottawa. From Toronto to Oakville, it took two business days. One of the customers do not believe the reasons that Chit Chats gave. He told me he recently order stuffs from a vapour store in Markham and he got he parcels in two days in Quebec. My question is Chit Chats actually gave the parcels to Canada Post or even saving it until they have a bigger volume to give to Canada Post? Why can not the Canada Post shipping postal tracking be updated when Chit Chat deposit all the parcels to Canada Post? It is getting frustrated and worrying when customers are demanding refunds as you have no proof that it has been shipped out. read more
