Avocado Salmon on a Multi grain bread
Denise S.

First timers here. We were greeted and seated right away for a late breakfast, early lunch at 11am. It's a really nice sized restaurant and it had a great crowd. Noticed a handful of elderly patrons and some young families with small children. A nice mixture of people. My friend wanted a decaf iced coffee, not available. Which I thought how hard would it be to pour over ice? Also asked about fresh juices, again none available but they did offer 3 different options. We like the choices on the menu but preferred the potatos to be a little larger instead of tiny cubes. I had the Avocado salmon toast which was delicious and again would have preferred slices of avocado instead of it being creamy. It was very tasty but messy as I took each bite. The waitress was nice and friendly which was a plus and checked on us periodically to see if we needed anything else. They also have a bar where Bloody Mary's and other adult beverages were available. We plan on returning to try other things on the menu soon. It is great to see that they offer Military discounts which makes it even more inviting.

Staff was very friendly. Nice vibe. Food just missed the mark. The tacos were bland, but very raw oniony. The tots were very well done and tasted like oil. My husband's salmon was delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly.

The Tradition Breakfast

I came by for breakfast on a weekday. It was not busy, the service was fine. I had coffee and the traditional breakfast for $14.50 (two eggs, pork sausage, and two large pancakes). Affordable prices, but the breakfast is quite simple. I'd come back.

Biscuits & gravy

Solid breakfast, excellent service. Biscuits and gravy were okay, but the scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns were better. My wife enjoyed her scramble. BFast Sammie's were judged as just "okay" by the rest of the family. Also, a decent kid's menu, and the pancakes w/ chocolate chips were a hit. Giving a 4th star for A+ service from Bennie, and the rest of the staff were friendly, too. Cheers! RS

Over easy eggs, pancakes and sausage

The food was good. The crab cakes Benedict was very tasty, I was skeptical at first but it changed my way of thinking. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The service was good, a little too good, but it is what some people want. The ambiance was quiet for 830 am on a Thursday morning we thought. The food was good, cost us 50 after tip for what we had to eat and a coffee and coke.

Excellent find for New Year's Day. Went to the beach to watch the sunrise and found this place open today for breakfast. I didn't take a pic because it was soooo good was their croissant beignet. Solace a little lemon ton those bad boys. Gone in 60 seconds. Lots of tables and plenty of parking. We got excellent service as well.

We like to sit at the oyster bar and talk to the shocker. Donald was our guy and service was great. I always recommend this place.

Since the three of us in our group aren't big eaters, we asked to split a portion of everything we ordered, and she didn't blink an eye. We started with the BBQ shrimp, which was fantastic! It's not a heavy, traditional BBQ flavor--it's more of a rich, New Orleans-style sauce. With six shrimp total, it was perfect for splitting, especially with the delicious bread served alongside it to soak up that amazing sauce. Nom!! Two of us split the wedge salad, and Brittany happily accommodated our special request for ranch instead of blue cheese. Our other friend had the kale salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the main course, the three of us split the filet mignon, which came with a dollop of mashed potatoes. The char on the steak was absolutely fabulous, and the potatoes paired with it perfectly! The restaurant is fairly dark and can get a bit noisy on busy nights, but we enjoyed our time immensely. Grand Marlin has private rooms and is easily the most high-end restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Our total was $178.00 before tip, which is well worth it. The attire ranges anywhere from dressy to beach casual, they have several great seating options for special occasions, and there's even a gift shop with some great finds. For anyone who remembers, this used to be the Boy on a Dolphin years ago. As an honorary Pensacolian since 1975, I consider myself a bit of an expert on all things Pensacola Beach--and you won't be disappointed here! Pro tip: Get a group photo by the bay before leaving. Even at night, it shows off those perfect Pensacola views.

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. The menu is varied and we found out that you can order anything at anytime. We had ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork omelette and Shrimp and Grits. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

I didn't care for the flavor in the shrimp batter and the fries were heavy coated with pepper. I generally like pepper, but it was a bit much. The grilled pork chop wasn't bad. I will say a $7 charge for a large chocolate milk that wasn't even that good of milk. Maybe we ordered poorly today. Our server was a 10/10.
