Very disappointing experience on Friday, May 22. When we walked in, the restaurant was a complete mess. There were multiple dirty tables throughout the dining area and the garbage bins were overflowing, making the place feel neglected and unclean. When we got to the front to order around 9:15 PM, we were told there was no white rice, no chicken, no guacamole, no lettuce, and no sour cream. Considering the restaurant closes at 11:00 PM, it was frustrating to see so many basic items unavailable almost two hours before closing. On top of that, it felt like the staff seemed annoyed that we even walked in. I understand restaurants can have busy nights and run out of items occasionally, but the overall cleanliness, lack of preparation, and customer service made for a really poor experience. read more

Sorry excuse of a good establishment... I've gone to Chipotles for such a long time and have gone to the ones in Shelton, West Haven, Naugatuck, etc. This has been by far the saddest excuse of a burrito and the lady making it gave attitude when I asked for more RICE... Don't come to this chipotle unless you want to spend 15 dollars on this "BURRITO". read more

I stopped in at lunchtime to get a bowl with the honey chipotle chicken. It took a minute or two for the line to move, as a couple of staff were running back and forth taking orders and moving some stuff around. When I ordered, the guy that took my order looked at the line, saw there was no honey chipotle chicken, heaved an exasperated sigh and without saying anything grabbed the regular chicken, dumped half of it into a second metal container, mixed in a powder, tossed it a bit, then came back and made a bowl with it. What I got was sandy and dry chicken, which I ate about half of before pitching the rest. Between that and the "hasn't been thoroughly cleaned" feel of the dining area, I am in no rush to go back to this location. read more

Extremely hostile service in Cheshire! *Apparently you cannot write a review for the Cheshire, CT location so I'm writing it here* My family and I were really happy when a Chipotle finally opened closer to us, but unfortunately, this location has been a constant disappointment. Tonight's visit, however, was by far the worst. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was entirely unwelcoming. The staff member helping us put on her gloves and stood there scowling, actively avoiding eye contact. When I politely said hello, she mumbled an unintelligible response. From there, the interaction turned hostile. She aggressively snapped "WHAT KIND OF RICE!" under her breath, and we had to ask her to repeat herself many times throughout the entire process--culminating in her bluntly throwing out, "We don't have tomatoes!" As if she would've been even more upset if she had to hear us ask for pico/mild sauce. It didn't just feel like someone doing the bare minimum; it felt entirely personal, as if she was determined to make every customer feel as miserable as she was feeling. She aggressively tossed the food into our bowls while my family and I remained as polite and respectful as humanly possible. To top it off, she was rushing us so much and barely listening that she ended up charging us for extra items we didn't ask for. We didn't even bother to correct her; we just wanted to get out of there and didn't want to let her ruin our time any further. At the end, I thanked her for her help and even genuinely said, "I hope you have a better rest of your day," only to be met with total silence. This isn't the first time we've experienced this kind of rude, unwelcoming behavior at this exact Cheshire location. Tonight, it made my wife and daughter feel genuinely uncomfortable. We completely dread walking into this building now, so it looks like we'll be taking our business elsewhere. I hope everyone keeps their jobs as I'm sure they will, but I genuinely recommend some retraining in hospitality as well as customer service. I hope this woman was just having a bad day and that someone kind enough helps her along her life journey. read more

I've never had an issue here till today... When the older gentleman serving food around 12:30 asked me how much I wanted each and every scoop. First he scooped half a spoon of rice into the bowl and looked at me and said is this enough? I just kind of looked at him... because I've never been asked that question at Chipotle. I thought they had like a standard amount. He continued to ask me "is this enough?" with EVERYTHING I asked for... I was so uncomfortable and didn't know what to say. Chipotle, should my order have been less since I only received a half scoop of everything in my bowl? Because, 12.50 was STUPID! I don't know if he was being condescending or not but it was extremely uncomfortable. read more

Service is lacking. Placed an order online and was notified that the order was ready and in one (1) bag on the shelf. Entered the building to no bag on the shelf. Went to the counter to enquire about the order and had to finally grab someone's attention because not one employee asked me if I needed assistance to be told that no such order existed even after showing them my order on the app. Had to wait for the other orders to be made before my problem was addressed and then had to show someone the order on their screen to be told it was given to someone else. Had to wait for them to finish every other order before mine was remade. Got home to find every order wrong and items missing from the original order. read more

Sometimes I just crave a chipotle bowl. And sometimes it is a hit or miss for me. It all depends on the time and day you go with these types of restaurants. I must went on a good day because my to go order was packed with food. I got a adobo chicken bowl. The employee that handle my food was nice and made sure I get those full scoops. Didn't need to ask for extra. I was please with the meal I got. Hope it's like this the next time I get a craving! read more

Food tasted great actually! But will wait 4 hours to give the final report on that because the place is filthy and who knows what contamination may have occurred. The trash cans were overflowing, tables covered with food remains, glass doors so dirty you can't see through. Website orders aren't being brought out to the shelf but you have to go request them. I didn't know and sat there for 5 minutes looking at the empty shelf wondering where my order was as it was 15 minutes past the promised time - it was sitting on the carry out counter! When I tried to check the sticker on it the worker lady very rudely told me to "back off"! And to think I gave them a 20% tip... even if I don't end up with a food poisoning- never again! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was disappointing. Despite only two small families ahead of me, I waited about 30 minutes. The staff seemed very overwhelmed and were passive-aggressive with each other and blunt with customers. By the time I ordered, they were out of several items. While I understand being understaffed, the manager didn't even seem to bother to help them. At checkout, the employee dropped an F-bomb after forgetting my order, which I found unprofessional, and rolled his eyes when I paid with a $50, responding dismissively when I offered another way to pay. Overall, the environment felt tense and unpleasant, and it seems consistently miserable there. read more

Went today & while the food is palatable, the restaurant is absolutely disgusting. Food was everywhere...on the tables, floor, the counter tops. As a nurse, this is unacceptable when the public is being served & expect a clean store. I've seen other reviews that were made several months back & the same observation was made...unsanitary, dirty. If I could give a zero i would. But the food is good. Hopefully, the owner/manager will educate their staff on how imperative it is to provide a clean, sanitary restaurant. To the owner that read my review, I went to the website & lodged my complaint. A responsible, accountable manager/owner would take the reviews seriously & try to resolve those issues & not say, go to this website to complain in a nutshell read more

I don't often go to Chipotle, but was a regular customer several years ago when I was living in another state in MidWest. I don't know if their quality has gone down all over or if it's a Connecticut thing, all the Chipotles here I tried are equally disappointing. I craved for a burrito bowl from Chipotle recently and review of all the locations around kind of scared me, anyway I decided to try it. It turned out to be one of the worst burrito bowls I ever tried. The rice was totally underooked, the beans and veggies were not great either, I think I won't be craving for Chipotle anytime soon. read more

This place does not worth to even giving a star. Horrible customer service, it seems the staff is under motivated or low paid or just don't know how to serve. Discussing how they manage the food, very dirty and when I asked about sauce part of the staff didn't care and the rest was looking at the phone. Manager should be on the floor to controls these kids that manipulate food. Also, when I try to pay cash they said only exact change, then they don't accept cash or they try to keep the change. So lazy to even operate as a cashier. Never come back, sorry for the brand. read more

I've tried this chipotle three different times in the past year. Two out of three times the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The corn salsa did not taste fresh and seemed to be a different recipe than other locations. There was no cilantro in the rice or the corn salsa. The chips were soggy. Won't be going back. read more

The reviews on Yelp are terrible. Until last week, I didn't understand the ratings and comments because I had always had great experiences. About two weeks ago the location was out of white rice and carnitas. Yesterday, they were out of vegetables/fajitas and didn't have any forks for me to eat my bowl with. The white rice was awful, made with way too much lime and salt, almost inedible. Even worse was the attitude of the young lady at the register, who, when I asked how I should eat my bowl, responded; "I didn't place the order for them...". My prior 4 star review on Yelp has now been updated based on my last two visits. I made management and corporate aware of my experiences. read more

I I've never left a review of a restaurant before bad or good but this awful place deserves one. Lived in Wallingford for some time now, used to come here all the time never had any issues. Past year that's changed. I had 8-10 orders consistently messed up in a row and some terrible in store experiences before I called it enough. They put together some of the worst looking bowls I've ever seen now, on top of that the management and staff is some of the worst I've seen as well. They constantly are out of something, the staff acts like you are the worst person ever for asking for your order, they blast loud music with swearing which I don't care about, but that can't be great with little kids around? The food tastes awful, chicken seems either undercooked or overcooked, and did I mention how rude the staff is? Management clearly doesn't care, it feels more like a frat house than a restaurant. It's a shame because every time I pass the place now it's still pretty packed so I'm sure management doesn't care about any of these reviews but please if you're thinking of coming here, don't. Go to pancheros down the road instead. 10x better. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Whoever's running this place needs to figure it out, I hope you actually read this although I doubt it. It's embarrassing. read more

Zero stars! Easily and by FAR the worst Chipotle in existence. (Plus Pancheros down the road does it better for half price) These brats will ask you several times what you want, you still won't get it. They'll put their ice cold 'queso' on 9 out of 10 times and charge you a dollar, whether you like it or not. Half filled burritos with a pinch of protein leaking cold greasy juice everywhere. Disgraceful, the youth of today. The companies with management that respondeds to tons of reviews with lame lip service (Like this one), but will never change the experience are the ABSOLUTE WORST!! So upset with the service. I went there the other day, and I was excited because it wasn't very crowded. After making my bowl, I took out a $20 bill to pay with. The server told me that they did not have exact change to give back to customers. I was a little confused by this because I would assume that fast food chains would normally keep change on them. I only had this $20 bill with me, so I couldn't pay because I wouldn't get my change back. When I say exact change, I mean that the person working told me that there were no $1,$5,$10 bills to give me. So, I was forced to throw away my bowl, as I couldn't pay for it. I'm so disappointed with this service and I will not be going here anymore because the quality has gone down significantly. read more

I would never be back to this establishment ever again. The way I was disrespected verbally assaulted in front of my 5 year old son is absolutely disgusting. I've even contacted corporate twice in two days about the situation and I haven't received a callback which shows they don't stand or care for the customers Norval, you their safety, when it comes to their employees verbally, threatening. Customers I was told by an employee that he would smack the shit out of me and called me a bitch and clearly nothing was done about it the same day the situation happened the same day I made my report to corporate and nothing. this is disgusting behavior. I don't know who runs this establishment but they should be put out of business because it's disgusting how they handle complaints such as this level which is extreme if you ask me... I will consistently keep reaching out to corporate because they will do something about this. This is disgusting and their behavior on how they're taking this matter up is disgusting because they haven't done anything nor have I received a call or reach out or a concern that they know of the situation.! read more
