The quality of food and service is what I expected from Chipotle....fresh well seasoned and tasty food coupled with fast friendly service. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the eating area and the stocking at the beverage area. Now, understanding that it was during the evening rush and it was all hands on deck getting orders out and serving the queue of hungry customers in line....but at some time an employee should have been dispatched to empty the full trash bins, refill the empty napkin dispenser and generally clean up the tables of debris. Outside of the dining area being a little disorganized and cluttered, the overall experience was pleasant. If the dining room were clean, stocked and without overflowing trash cans this rating would be higher. read more

Deserve 0/5 stars. Some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. I've been to a lot of Chipotle shops and this was among the very worst. Came in and stood in line. The only person in front of me in line is one of thr store managers who is leaning on the glass, chumming it up with the workers. I figured he'd quickly see me there and step aside for me to order. Nope! He just stood there joking around as if I didn't exist. The workers behind the counter didn't greet me or acknowledge me at all. I waited maybe 3-4 minutes before asking: "Can I order some food? I'm standing right here." Finally the huge manager stepped aside and let me order. But after that the workers still did not greet me or take my order. This was the absolute dredges of restaurants and I won't be back to this location. The restaurant was filthy on top of it with the tables closed down with chairs on top of them a full hour before the place closed. We get chipotle maybe 4-5 times a year. I know to expect pretty okay food and adequate customer service, but every time I go to this location the staff gets worse and the restaurant gets dirtier. Tonight was possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The staff will just stare at you and refuse to communicate, and when they do they are visibly irritated that they have to speak to a person. I'm very upset with the outcome of this meal I just had. I LOVE chipotle. I love that I can get a kids meal with no judgement/problem. Today that changed. I came in around 8pm and ordered a kids: build your own . I wanted guac and rice as my 2 sides with steak. (Which I normally get) I asked for my guac to be placed in a plastic ramekin and not the tray, usually this is not big deal. I go to pay for my meal and it's 7.67 It's normal not. It's usually 5 and some change So I asked did you charge me for the guac. And this woman, "Patricia" patronized me. She said "uh yes, guac is not included" I assured her that it was my side. And she said "No, the only time you can get guac is if you get a veggie meal, YoU GoT THe StEaK, byE!" This was extremely unprofessional and distasteful. Edit: This place has gone severely downhill. Most of the employees now have a poor attitude, not personable, not friendly. Last time I was in, the girl that wrapped the burritos couldn't fold them correctly. All the fixings were falling out everywhere, nothing was held in correctly, parts of the burritos were openly exposed after being rolled in the aluminum foil. The bottom of the take out bag was covered with sour cream that leaked from the burritos. Doubt I'll be back anytime soon. Original Review: I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. On top of the food being delicious, the staff is always VERY kind, upbeat, and treats the customers with respect. I've rarely left without getting some type of compliment from the staff; they are engaging and always polite. Only downfall is the wait time; there is often a long line. I was excited when this Chipotle opened as I had always heard that good things. Now that it's been open about a year, I'm glad to report that it's still a great option when looking for lunch or dinner on Erie Blvd. As mentioned in another review, the food is not "authentic", but the ingredients they use are very fresh. The cheese is freshly shredded, guacamole is made on site, and the meats are always grilling in the background while you are ordering your food. I've tried the burrito bowls, tacos, burritos, and salads. All are excellent. They do an excellent job of keeping the lines moving here and offer take out service which is a nice time saver. If I had to choose between Chipotle and Moe's (the closest competitor) I would choose Chipotle. The downsides of this particular Chipotle are definitely worth considering. The parking lot is way too small. I have driven into the lot on multiple occasions and after not finding a spot, headed on to the next place to get my lunch. I have to imagine there are others like me who don't have the time to chase a parking spot when taking your lunch break. The interior here is also pretty tight - the line for food does snake through the seating area which is only annoying when they are at max capacity. There is outdoor seating in the summer which is nice. Pricing is a bit higher than a typical fast food spot, which is to be expected. read more

This was my first time at the Chipotle in Syracuse - and I thought it was really good. I got the chicken tacos (hard shell) and also an order of chips and guac. All in all, I thought it was a good meal at a good price. Beth F. does have an excellent point with the stools with no backs - I ended up putting my coat on the table I was eating at, taking a spot that could have been used by someone else had my coat not been there. What really shocked me was the fact that the parking lot is tiny! I had to wait for a spot to open up and when I went inside I was expecting a massive crowd but the place was only about half full. It seems like there was some very poor planning on this one - I mean this is a franchise, doesn't the franchisor require X number of parking spots per square foot before they let the franchisee sign the lease? Anyways, I seem to be pretty much in agreement with Beth - lots of takeout was happening while we were there. On kind of a funny note - I saw quite a few people eating in their cars in the parking lot. So it seems that many people prefer the comfort of their cars over the lack of atmosphere inside. Maybe they should deliver! At least that way they could get the food out of there and not have people taking up valuable parking spots. Anyways - we will be back for sure. My daughter goes to LeMoyne so I like to catch up for lunch with her from time to time - and even though we liked Nothing But Noodles when it first opened, it spiraled downhill fast and ended up closing. I visited at lunch and the food was fine and the staff friendly, but the space is cramped and the lines snake awkwardly around the seating areas. There is really not a good seat in the house unless you are able to snag one of the two tables with movable chairs under the blaring speakers. They seam to be doing a good bit of take out service, which contributes to the wait (and may say something about the ambiance!).
