We're obsessed with Five Guys. This location is especially amazing. The burgers, fries, hot dogs, and milkshakes are always so good. I love that I can order a lettuce wrap burger with no cheese and all my favorite toppings, and they take allergies seriously (calling it out, changing gloves, and bagging it separately.) The staff here are INCREDIBLE as well; attentive, fast, and genuinely kind. Prices are what you'd expect these days (about $45-$55 for three people), and we always enjoy cracking open the complimentary peanuts while we wait. There's a large parking lot, it's in a strip mall off Erie Blvd, and they always have fun music playing. 10/10 recommend this location! read more

Stopped in on a much needed mental wellness day and treated myself to a little cheeseburger after a pedicure. Five Guys didn't disappoint. The place was clean and bright, with a warm welcome right when I walked in. The bathroom was spotless (always a plus), and the order was hot and ready right on time. Me and my family have been here a few different times and it never disappoints. I ordered 3 burgers and a large fry last night a 8pm. Didn't have to wait very long at all! I drove about fifteen minutes home and the burgers were still hot and delicious! Also we had so many fries we couldn't eat them all! This was my first time ever at a Five Guys. I have always heard great things about their Burgers and Fries. The interior was decorated like an old 50's diner, very clean and cute. This was a family dinner 4 Adults 3 children. We all ordered Burgers, Fries and Milkshakes. The French Fries are to die for! I could have just had the fries and shake and I would have been more than happy. You receive a BAG of fresh cut French fries and they are delicious! The milkshake was also very good. As for the Hamburger, I personally think that if people think they have the best burgers then they best keep looking because they were very thin and for a Bacon burger it had two little strips of bacon and they did not have a whole lot of flavor. We did get great service and the staff were very accommodating when it came to needing extra containers for the kids to share. I wanted a cheeseburger fries and a strawberry shake my husband had a bacon cheeseburger and strawberry shake Our bill was almost $40. The french fries were very dark brown, soggy and not very good. I would like to post a picture of my cheeseburger as it was mangled. It tasted good but it was smushed. The fries were unedible. The strawberry shake was like water. I would expect more for the price they charge for their food.I ask the lady if she could make the shake thicker, her response was there was nothing she could do. We don't eat out very often anymore. How in the world could Five Guys be any less the 5 stars is beyond me! They are so freaking good when you want a yummy burger and even yummier fries. Yes, I know...they are restaurant quality burgers, but they are definitely better than any fast food burger that you will ever get. The meat is always juicy and fresh and there are tons of toppings to choose from. Now the one thing you should know is that a "little" burger is actually a normal cheeseburger size. The regular cheeseburger is a freaking double! They are pretty massive and you need to be pretty dang hungry to eat them. The fries are out of this world and always taste fresh and seasoned perfectly. Again you maybe tempted to buy a huge size, but be careful. Fast, custom made burgers, free peanuts while you wait, and massive quantities of fries if you order them. This location is connected to the Paradise Market, and it has lots of outdoor seating too which is a very nice plus. I just wish they delivered! read more

There's fast food and then there's one step above. Five guys is a chain quick service restaurant that has a fast food type feel but with a far higher quality of food. They claim that there isn't a freezer in the building. And well I cant go explore their back rooms, I'd be inclined to believe it. There are two locations in the Syracuse area, and this is my preferred one. Easy to get to ample parking that isn't as convoluted as the other location. And I like the seating setup better because you don't have to wander through it to order your food. Naomi had told me at work that she wanted a more substantial lunch than what she had brought so I decided to try their order ahead online and pick up with no lines option that they offer. Which was actually really well done on the app and incredibly easy when you come to pick it up. However you still have to go to the register to tell them that you are even there, so they can take it out of their computer. So there is a small wait after you tell them. But all in all convenient and does work. This location is right on the corner of the shopping plaza that its in with tons of windows and its always really well lit. I have been to five guys without using the online option though and do enjoy the free peanuts you can have while they fresh make your order every time. They have the neat Coca Cola dispensers that you can mix and match basically any soda that you can think of (orange coke is a thing and its really good). And all your basic condiments and also malt vinegar for fries which is also great if you have never had it before. I always get the same order when I come here which is a double bacon cheese burger all the way (which is their term for basically put everything you have on it) and a regular fry, though I am fairly certain you can order a small and have enough fries for any normal person. They never skimp on the serving size here. They are my favorite french fries, fresh cut so you still have the skins on them when you eat them but they are a fair bit greasy as they are fresh cooked and tossed in a paper bag and not really drained when you get them. I love them but they might not be for everyone. And the burgers when you get all the fixings can be a bit sloppy when you eat and fall apart so extra napkins might be in order. I can promise its not the cleanest meal but for a quick service chain place its some of the best food you'll get. The employees are always really friendly every time I've gone to either location and always busting their butts to crank out the food. I've never had to wait a incredibly long time, so with the online ordering this is a nice option for a lunch break at work when time is a crunch. All in all, I don't review many chain restaurants unless I feel they are above and beyond. And this and every five guys I've been to has always been that. I don't know what it is about Five Guys, but when I am looking for a go-to hamburger joint to satisfy my carnivorous craving, this place is typically one of the first spots that come to mind. It is similar to Chik Fil A in the respect that it knows what it is, it executes it extremely well (most the time), and is damn proud of it. There isn't much more to say besides, no matter what city I am in, if I am craving a solid burger, this typically hits the spot - specifically this location on Erie. Food: I really can't understand what there isn't to like about a burger made to order, exactly the way you want it, with one of 2498093428 different toppings to choose from. It is a solid burger, period. Best I have ever had? Definitely not; but it delivers on nearly every level when you are in the food for a messy, greasy burger loaded with your favorite toppings. Personally, I still stick to the basics (lettuce, tomato, extra pickle, ketchup, mustard, and mayo); but the other stuff is there if I am feeling adventurous! As everyone on Earth should know by now, there are many interpretations of 'The Burger'. Five Guys specializes in the 'greasy burger' variety. You've got the aforementioned 'greasy' burger (the one that gives heart attacks), the 'backyard' burger (the one that tastes like it came off your buddies' grill), the 'artisanal' burger (those who put fancy things on the burger trying to re-invent the wheel), and you've even got your 'high-quality' burger (a burger made with premium ingredients and is meant to simulate that you'd find at a fine dining restaurant or steakhouse - waygu burger, etc). Like I said, Five Guys is your classic greaseball burger, and they execute it well. Whether at an airport, or at a standalone location, they have never disappointed. Their fries, on the other hand, have disappointed before. Not this time though. They were fresh, crispy, and (as always) there was a mound in the serving container, as well as inside the bag. Absolutely delicious. We ordered a 'large' for our whole table and were all set. In the realm of greasy burgers, this is my go to burger joint when I am not in San Antonio. It is very close to a 5 for me, but that is reserved for Longhorn Cafés burger. Also, the varying quality of fries keep s Five Guys from being a 5 star food establishment for me. Food: 4 / 5      Service: Like any chain that spans the country, one is bound to find some bright spots, and some not-so-bright spots. First off I like 5 guys it's my greasy nasty burger fix so this review should only be considered for this location. I went in a lunch time and ordered the same thing I always do burger with jalapeños and small fry. While I'm waiting I'm just casually looking around and what do I notice the guy making the burgers is unwrapping the. And swapping around some toppings. Really this is a horrible idea and if they will do that while your watching I can't imagine what they do in the back. Let me start off by saying if I did this review 2yrs ago it would have been 5 stars. That being said I'm a chubby guy who tries to watch what I eat. So let me break down my last two visits here. I'm obviously not happy and I've have worked in the industry so I understand mistakes happen. It was around 6:30 on a Friday when I got my incorrect order and to be honest I was with a group of friends and a little drunk. There were about 20 people in line waiting to order so I took one for the team and ate what I was given. Problem number two with this visit is I still left hungry, which has never happened before. Second recent visit my order is right, I guess. It's a bacon cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickle and raw onion but the quantity of said condiments was significantly less than when I would of given a 5 star review. The big problem with this visit is my burgers seemed very dry. I know they're cooked well done but it has never been a problem before. There were two families ahead of me with large orders and I got my food significantly faster. My suspicion is the burger patties I received were cooked for another order ahead of me. Completely sober this time I still left not hungry but not satisfied. I might have been full if I finished the fries but I'm not there for the fries, the burger is what I'm there for. All that being said the staff and fries were on point and I'm glad there's a little fry option, which I still can't finish. Even if I'm still hungry I'm not gonna just hammer down a bunch of fries. Pretty dang decent for a $5 burger. I love the fact that they only have like 10 things on their menu. You can get a big burger, a big cheese burger, or a big bacon cheeseburger. You can get all of those in a small version. You can get all of those in a hot dog version. Grilled cheese, fries, soda. All the toppings (included in the price) that you can imagine. Classic rock playing in the background and the recent installment of what I call "the magical soda machine." You can seriously get any soda they carry, with any flavor you want. Peach Fanta? Yes. Vanilla rootbeer? Yes. Just push the buttons and taste the freaking magic. The downside is the wait. Disappointed. We ordered online. Seemed pretty straightforward. 2 burgers, 1 fry and 2 bottles of soda. Hit the send button, followed online directions and hit "I'm here" button and waited at curb. 10 minutes past curbside time they finally came to our car and asked if we were waiting for food and what's your name. I understand this is a "whole new way" of ordering. No biggie. I didn't "love" interacting 3 times at my car window. I prepaid & ordered online to avoid this contact. Anyway, my real complaint is the food. I ordered a simple cheese burger with ketchup. It was awful! The buns were SATURATED with grease fat. The burger was literally falling apart in my hands. If I was home, I would need a plate and fork to eat. It was gross. My husband got the Deluxe Bacon Burger and he said it tasted awful. Went there today to pick up an order one of the employees went from behind the counter to the dining room back behind the counter again 3 different times with no mask on. Then another employee That was cooking the burghers went into the dining Room and back to making burgers with no mask on wrapping the burgers up for people orders.
