UPDATE TIME: This past Tuesday 8/13 I placed an online pick up order- simple order kids meal with steak, white rice and pico, 2 soft tortillas and a steak bowl, with the same except added cheese. Pick it up, get home, get into my comfy clothes, set the plates out for MINI-ME and me, and we open the meals up. Mine was ok- the kids meal, not so much. It is not what I ordered. It looked like someone left-overs, even though the top lid had my correct order printed, because it is the first thing we checked. There was guacamole, that was scraped out of one of the 3 compartments. Second compartment with the white rice was half filled and steak was completely missing, there was pico-but it was questionable, tortillas were hard. So I did what I thought was right I called Chipotle, however, they do not accept calls unless you are placing an order. I said okay, I guess I'm driving back, I got changed out of my comfy clothes, back into my work clothes- got in the car and drove back to Chipotle, and it's now after 8pm. I walk in and and show the guy behind the counter that my order wasn't correct, could he help me out and fix it. I mean am I annoyed? of course, its after 8pm, I'm tired Mini-Me is tired and we just want dinner. But I am also in the hospitality Industry, so everyone is tired, it's a long day.. and despite what people say, I am not a nut. So I am not about to throw a tizzy and cause a scene? No one needs to know my business and I am not going to be a jerk and embarrass the staff here, things happen. So anyway, he is super cool , tells me he can fix it, that it doesn't even look anything like my order, says sure he can fix it, and makes me a new kids meal. I was very happy and so was MINI-ME when I got home. So here is why I give this Chipotle 5 stars- The food and service is good and pretty consistent. They recognized there was an order issue and fixing it means, that I was satisfied with the solution and they don't lose a customer. Not that I am major customer or anything- but let's be honest Chipotle is not cheap, but I think it is is worth the money to get quality food in fast timely manner, and the service is very good here. Also, if it is a choice between Juanitos and Chipotle- It will always ALWAYS be Chipotle, without hesitation "Pass Go Collect $200." read more

I went here today for dinner. I am always seeing a lot of people going in and out. I go in and order. We get to toppings and I said the guacamole. Get to the register and they charge an extra $2.85 for the guacamole. Ok, I get home which is less than a mile. The food is cold. And the chicken was like all fat. Not good at all. Idk maybe bc it was cold and the chicken was fatty. Needless to say I will not be going back. And I do not recommend, unless you like wasting your money. read more

On 3/12/24, I went to the Chipotle restaurant in Howell, NJ ... looking to enjoy a meal there. As I stood on line waiting to order, I noticed there were not too many tables that I could sit at ... and of the ones that were not occupied, several of those few tables were dirty. Apparently cleanliness isn't a big concern here, as the garbage can was totally full also. I ordered my meal and was told by the cashier that there are NO forks available, so I ate my lukewarm meal with a spoon. I ordered 2 Barbacoa bowls with brown rice and while eating my meal, noticed several very hard things in my mouth that I chewed on and became concerned. I spit out the hard items and found several totally UNCOOKED rice grains in my meal. I left them on my aluminum serving tray and told the cashier to tell the manager ... he did nothing and so I left. Regarding the lack of forks and dirty table tops, that should be the ultimate responsibility of the store manager ... who should order adequate supplies and ensure the restaurant is clean, tidy and an appealing place to eat at. My trip there missed the mark by a mile. The food wasn't that bad, it just wasn't hot enough. The way the place is run is in serious need of improvement. Let me start by saying I hardly ever leave reviews, I had to do the most to look up my password BUT this chipotle was the best location I've encountered. They catered my mothers birthday party last month and not only was the food amazing but DAN the MANanger on site at the time was such a sweet helpful soul. He made sure that everything we needed was included and helped load our car (he basically did the work) - I wanted to tip him but he said because he was a manger he could not accept the tip. I don't live in NJ but the amount of chipotle I eat weekly makes me wish I did (that's dramatic I know) but seriously this location is the bomb! Dan if you're reading this - thanks again! read more

As much as I enjoy Chipotle, recently this location has been super disappointing. There have been multiple times I've gone in around 8pm and they're out of food on the line or chips, saying it's late and they're not making more when they close at 10pm?? I ordered through their app and they failed to give me all of the items and when I spoke to an employee they said I had to contact Door dash for a refund, when I'm pretty sure Chipotle is responsible for packing food not Door dash. This location is wonderful. Despite it being very packed, I was in and out in 5minutes. The workers are really quick and accurate.The service is quick, and the food was super fresh and hot. The chicken was nicely cooked and was definitely fresh. The cilantro lime white rice was very flavorful. It was just a little over $8 for a chicken burrito bowl. This is a perfect lunch spot and good for the prices. Portions are really big so be mindful of this. For the price, it is well worth it, with what they give you. read more

Pretty consistent food. Better quality than both Taco Bell and Bubbakoos. It's definitely better to order your food in the restaurant though. The worst experiences I have are when ordering delivery using their app. My bowls tend to be very wet and they leak. Chips are always broken. They frequently arrive 20 - 30 minutes later than the quoted delivery time and I spend nearly $30 every time. I almost always order a variation of the burrito bowl. The new quesadillas are pretty good but aren't as good of a value. Parking usually sucks but this is my preferred casual Mexican place. read more

Just ordered a bowl with guacamole on it, as well as a side of guac and chips to be delivered on Door Dash. The guacamole literally looked like diarrhea. I eat guacamole all the time and know what it should look like and this wasn't it. To pay extra for guacamole that's unappetizing is ridiculous. Pretty meh food that is on the pricey side. When compared to other similar restaurants Chipolte falls way short. The selection of things to out on your burrito or bowl are extremely limited, many things are extra and the overall quanity of food is smaller than most. My burrito bowl was also luke warm to cold and this was during prime lunch hours. I supposed the emptiness should of tipped me off. I will be avoiding Chipotle for now on and be seeking out places like Bubbakoo, Panchero, or Moes instead. read more

We usually go for the Freehold location but they've been all wrong for years now and the pandemic just made them worse, like unbearably so. So we began ordering from here and all I am wondering is why did I settle for mediocre Chipotle for so long??! This place is organized and clean. Their staff are also just teenagers but these guys are polite, well-trained and responsible. The food is fresh and best of all they don't give you half filled bowls of food. Brand New,uncrowded even at lunch the Chipotle branding is indeed magical. I had a Barbacoa burrito with the works and while rather steep for what amounts to a floured tortilla filled with rice,beans and 4 ounces of protein I will say every ingredient was fresh,perfectly seasoned and married into a very flavorful and satisfying lunch. My only gripe is that their hottest salsa is no better than the tired bottles of Tabasco that seem to pass for hot sauce at Chipotle. read more

You would think that when somebody takes an order to go, the staff at the counter would know how to however they chose to shove everything into one bag, and when I asked for another bag I saw that my original bag was leaking all over the counter top. I said to the woman, that I need a second bag so that I can double bag everything, otherwise it will spill all over my car. The right thing to do, would have been to take out the items and rebagg them so that they're not sitting in the wet and leaky bag. Instead she hands the bag to me and places it already in the spoiled area of the counter. After reaching home and taking the bag out of my car I saw that it's still continue to leak through. Instead of taking out the items and checking if everything was sealed she just looked at the one part of the bag where everything had tore open because of the leakage, the entire bottom container to go was spilled open, and all over the floor of my car. Worst chipotle I've been to. Staff was just joking around in the back, which initially I didn't have a problem with. Kids will be kids. But then after ordering I sit down to eat and towards the end of the burrito bite into a large rock of salt. I couldn't believe it, never ever had issue with chipotle before. Worst part is I specifically ordered to try and lower sodium intake picking the right ingredients and they do this in food prep? This place flat out sucks. I have ordered online through the portal 5 times and my order has been wrong 3/5 times... I complained three times and have basically wasted my time because no orders were ever corrected... I went in to get some food at 8:56pm. I saw the staff cleaning up and what looked like getting ready to close for the night so I initially felt bad for coming in so late. I walk up to the counter and was not greeted by the staff just looked at so I just started my order which was done in rapid speed obviously trying to get me out of there as fast as possible. When I get to the counter the girl was not a good mood I guess because I was told only my total for the order and that was that. Did not get a "have a nice night" at the least or any of the normal customer service conversations I would normally receive any where else.
