if you are in the mood for Birria tacos and homemade Horchata, this is the place to go. Service is great patient and if you're an English speaker, there's also translations on the menu to describe what food you might eat. The food is a little pricey, but worth it for your money. there is beautiful music always being played and there is shows being played on the TV. You can watch it while you eat.

We were able to stop here for lunch and had it to go. Walking in, there's no frills. Decor is simple. You get your food, eat, and go. It's definitely authetic Mexican food here. Service was fast too! As for the food, portions are big and prices were affordable. Now a days that's hard to come by. Hubbers got a huge meat filled torta, I got the chicken enchiladas with mole, and the kids got a cheese quesadilla. All not bad. The torta and enchiladas had some heat to it. We'll have to come back and get other dishes on the menu though.

This building hold memories for me being an old pizza restaurant and for over a decade never sat abandoned. The layout is very close to the same I recall. The atmosphere was plain, but enjoyed the music and the vib. We ordered at the counter and sat with chips and salsa provided We had the chips and guacamole appetizer. These chips are so fresh. Needed some salt, but still amazing. The bowl the guacamole sat in was awesome. For $10 there was definitely a lack of chips. I had a beef Tlayuda. Never had one before. No beans for me. It was interesting and the size was huge. I was kinda hard to eat, but I never had one before, but I enjoyed it meat was definitely chewy. Chicken might be better. The wife's chimichanga was really good. We tried the Tres leches cake and the whip cream on top of the cake was amazing. The meal was $52 with a can of coke and gatorade. The prices for the main meals were def fair for the quality. This is a walk away from where I live and will return. The chips and guacamole alone is worth the trip and cannot wait to explore this menu further. Service was fine. You can walk up order and sit.

Tonight, the family and I decided to try out this restaurant we have heard many good reviews of…read more Greeted by a nice young lady and seated by the window. The atmosphere is cozy comfy, with the festival flags and pictures and wall hangings added to the Mexican vibe. The gave is a nice portion of chips with refried beans with cheese on top, which was very tasty and enough for the 3 of us. Our appetizer: we decided on the guacamole and chips, and it came out piled high, filled with nice chucks of guacamole, tomato, and onion. The flavors were very good, you can tell it was made fresh and the taste was great, we especially loved the smaller chips as it allowed a nice heaping of Guacamole. The dinners: Shrimp Tacos- I had ordered those, they arrived still hot and the tortilla was nice and hot too. The flavors of the shrimp with a light seasoning and cilantro and onion was a mouth explosion of flavors. The soft tortilla was cooked to perfection, not burnt or over cooked, it was perfect. I drilled the lime over each taco and added the red house made hot sauce, and the flavors were enhanced further. Beef Burrito - my 14 year old eating machine - devoured this large, highly stuffed beef burrito. I did take a bite, and it was another epic pallet explosion of flavors. The burrito was stuffed with beef, tomatoes, lettuce, and onion. The side guacamole my son loved as it was the same as the appetizer, and he would take the guacamole and smear a nice heap onto the burrito. He stated the rice was very good, fresh, and the taste was "lit" whatever that meant. And he added some of the red and green hot sauces to it to give it an extra kick. The Quesadilla - The wife ordered this huge chicken one. She said it was cooked excellent, the chicken was not dry, very flavorful and a good helping of cheese inside. The corn tortilla was cooked nicely and it came out hot, she said she the refried beans were excellent and very good. She had a nice helping of lettuce, sour cream, and the mix of salsa. She said the salsa was made fresh and was amazing. Desert - I decided to try the Mexican Carmel Flan, as I never had Carmel flan, and I really like it. Well, that was a mouth experience, and I wanted more. It was a nice big piece of flan, perfect consistency, texture, with a nice hint of Carmel and not overpowering the flan. The side drizzle of raspberry and chocolate puree just added a nice slight decedent flavor to the already flavorful flan. Now, by far, the best I have had. Overall Experience - They were busy, 4 tables filled with patrons, and several walk-in take out orders, and the phone was busy. The atmosphere put me in a festive mood, and it was a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was pleasant, friendly, and helpful with our questions. The food came out. I felt as expected for fresh home made on the spot at the time of order. Overall, in the end, we can't wait to go for the top quality food, atmosphere, and service. It's nice to have this restaurant close to home and fresh cooked Mexican cuisine. Well done!

I have eaten here and each time no bueno. Being hispanic, I eat a lot of Mexican food, all over this country, because it is not only my culture, but my comfort food and my go to when in a new town. Rice, dry no flavor. Beans no flavor. I have had the tacos with mole sauce- they do not serve mole here, I have had much mole in my life, this is not it. Tacos are not full, they are limited in the actual protein, as my family calls them, "sad tacos" "Tacos Tristes" Salsa is okay, I could eat a ton of salsa and chips but not here. Guacamole- yes, I have also had it here and it defies me how they use the molcajete from table to table and just scoop it into a flat dish to serve.. what?! and then move on to the next table- like, what if you can't eat onions or hate the taste of cilantro or allergic to chili peppers? My husband refuses to eat here and will drive to Freehold, Jackson even Belmar for Mexican food, but not the 3 blocks to Juanitos. I cannot in good conscious give it more that 2 stars- if you think this is the best, then okay, but you really need to expand your palate and head elsewhere.

It was whole black beans in water with raw onions and a splash of sour cream. On the plate to accompany the fajitas the black beans seemed to have just come out of the can, cold. If I had been with only my husband, and not business friends, I would have sent the soup and the platter back. A very disappointing meal.
