I topped the bowl with chopped tomatoes. I was impressed with the taste and texture of sofritas. Some tables needed cleaning. The aguas frescas looked delicious and I regret not having bought one. If zero stars were an option, I would use it without hesitation. We had just arrived at the Houston airport, exhausted, starving, and in need of food that could safely accommodate a Type 1 diabetic. Chipotle seemed like a reasonable choice. That assumption was our first mistake. We arrived fifteen minutes before closing. We fully understood that this was not ideal. However, they were still actively serving customers at the counter. Despite being open, the closing manager refused to let any member of our party use the restroom, even though there were still ten minutes left. Denying restroom access to paying customers, one of whom is diabetic, is not just inhospitable, it is indefensible. It got worse. The four employees on duty refused to grab lettuce from the refrigerator to accommodate that same Type 1 diabetic customer. The food was there. The staff was there. The willingness to provide even minimal service was completely absent. Although the employees remained inside to continue cleaning and closing, we were told we could not eat indoors. We understood they did not want to seat new diners late. But all we asked for was a bench or table to rest our exhausted feet while we ate the food we had just paid for. That request was denied. We moved outside to sit at the cafe tables on the patio, only to have an employee open the side door and announce they would be removing the metal chairs and bringing them inside. At that point, we resigned ourselves to eating over the hood of our rental car like scavengers, hunched over burritos and a quesadilla that barely qualified as food. And speaking of that quesadilla, how do you mess up a quesadilla? Apparently by serving a barely crisp tortilla wrapped around a thin and depressing smear of cheese that was somehow both scorched and unmelted at the same time. Shards of cold cheese hid beneath a lukewarm layer of barely melted disappointment. It was culinary apathy in tortilla form. We finished eating at exactly eleven fifteen pm, the moment they closed. Had I been the night manager, I would have done two very radical things. First, I would have allowed paying customers to use the restroom. Second, I would have allowed them to sit at two tables while staff finished cleaning, then politely unlocked the door when they were done. That small courtesy would have left us grateful, impressed, and eager to praise the hospitality of the four gentlemen working on January second, twenty twenty six at ten forty two pm. Instead, here we are. This Chipotle on North Highway managed to turn our first experience in Houston into a case study in how not to treat customers, especially those with legitimate medical needs, while still technically being open. read more

Completely disappointed with this location. The staff is so nice but it doesn't make up for my order being wrong for a second time in 3 weeks. I get the veggie burrito bowl as I don't like to eat meat and the main part of the bowl is the Fajita veggies. I received none on my bowl and I asked for extra. Omg, we went in, and there were flies all over the place. The service line was super dirty, and the back prep table had crumbs scattered all over it with dirty food containers all over the place. We scoped out a bit just to make sure we didn't see flies on the line, and when it came time to order, the young lady literally wiped rice from the dirty line back into the food containers. We walked out and will never visit this lo ation again. I might would say they had an excuse not to be more tidybut it was 3 in the afternoon, and the store was practically empty. If I eat in, I will admire the craft of the making of my burrito. They have a great selection and great quality food items during the lunch hour. They are fast which is appreciated since during lunch hour they are really packed! So don't expect to easily find a seat. Quality is ok - not as good as it used to be. The frustrating part is the inconsistency of quantity for how much is spooned out into the bowl. For the amount of money it costs, it's disappointing to see the server attempt to only give a small amount of chicken, of guacamole, etc. When done right, the quantity is worth the money; the food is decent enough; and the chips are usually good (though lately I keep getting bags of stale and wet chips). The one thing I STILL don't appreciate is the Kidd is so loud more often than not that you can't even have a conversation with someone across the table. It's not the best Chipotle I've been to, but it is at a convenient location and the workers are okay. The quality of the chicken is inconsistent. I was impressed that the chicken is done relatively well compared to the South Shepherd location during my first visit, but I was underwhelmed by how bland and tasteless it was the second time around. I'm having to give a one star because of the portion of food I received. It is disrespectful and I am infuriated. I came on April 10, at 11 am. The boy who made my burrito was giving spoons that were literally not even halfway full of every single thing that I asked for. At the end of the line I expressed my disgust to the manager (when she said "how are you today sir) and she ignored me completely after I said that. I will not return to this chipotle. There are periods in my life when I go to chipotle 2x per day, 7 days a week. I don't even usually write reviews but this upset me to the point where I had to say something. I spend too much money here to be disrespected like that. And on top of it all, they make damned sure to charge me for guac and queso. With the prices they charge, I expect a heaping scoop of whatever I ask for; at the very MINIMUM, at least- 1 FULL scoop. They also well mannered and my customer service they deliver was very appreciated. The food, however was a disappointment! I order 2 bowls and a salad. The rice is extremely hard and inedible. This Chipotle haven't been open too long and I have to say every time I've went here, my experience was horrible. They are either out of food/ingredients, serve old hard chicken that appear to have sat there all day, or give you SO LITTLE FOOD it's not even enough to feed a child. Wrote them off after the first wrong order 6 months ago, but decided to try again because the kids were begging for Chipotle. I called this "restaurant" immediately after receiving the wrong food. When I finally managed to get thru, the "manager" Mark told me I had to drive there if I wanted my food corrected. WHAT? I ordered for DELIVERY - if I could go there, I wouldn't have ordered for delivery! Then he tells me if I want a refund I have to contact customer support on their website. Well, custome4 support doesn't want to help either. They make it so difficult to report the problem that you are likely to give up before you finish.
