I was profoundly unsettled by my visit on 6.19.25 regarding order 322228 at 5:13 PM. The cashier, who was quite unfriendly and went by the name of Maria (I can provide ID if necessary), approached me and simply said, "What?" I requested, "Could I have 3 Mango Margaritas with extra Chamoy?" Her reply was an equally unfriendly, "What?!" To ensure she could hear me, I repeated my order a bit louder and added that I would like a steak fajita burrito with extra sour cream. I mentioned this twice because I wanted to make sure she heard me and that she actually included it, as I really enjoy it with that dish. She requested my I.D. I submitted the order (from which I unfortunately did not receive a receipt because she walked away and provided a young lady with the instructions for my order, then went to the back). I sensed some tension during my interaction with her, but I brushed it off since I frequent this location often and rarely experience such interactions. I also consider that sometimes we are unaware of what others might be dealing with. The same young lady who, ironically, prepared the drinks the previous day with added chamoy, did not do so today. Instead, she added mango syrup to the cup, prepared the ice for the drink, and drizzled a thin line of chamoy before looking at manager Rachel for her approval. Given the tension I felt with the cashier, the unsuccessful addition of the extra sour cream I had requested for my dish, which was not included, and my not receiving a copy of the receipt, the situation began to feel increasingly intentional. With the thin line of chamoy, I decided to request a refund for the drinks since the burrito was already made incorrectly and in my possession, and I simply wanted to leave due to the atmosphere. All the employees assembled at the front and inquired, "Why?" I replied, "I have made several straightforward requests, and it seems you are deliberately ignoring them. I am no longer interested in the items." Racheal answered, "Well, we don't issue refunds on Margaritas," and Maria added with a confrontational tone, prompting Rachel to say, "Don't argue with me." This was perplexing because I had intentionally kept my tone calm, given the clear treatment I was receiving. When I asked, "Is this in policy or documented in some way?" I intended to simply take the drinks and follow through with my decision from yesterday to stop patronizing this establishment altogether. She replied, "Well, we are not supposed to do that, and they are not required by policy to add extra chamoy." She mentioned that during previous occasions when I received this item with added chamoy, the employees were doing it incorrectly, and as of today, they can't add extra chamoy. I understood her explanation and requested the refund again. Now, regarding what I mentioned earlier about not receiving my receipt, I actually needed it to process the refund. I pointed out that Maria did not give me my receipt, and she argued with me about confirming that she had it in a very aggressive manner. A nice gentleman, whom I believe was named Jonathan, simply went to the kiosk, accessed the history, and printed my receipt, which I do have in case there is a need to review it. I received the refund and left the restaurantMy family observed my disappointment when I returned to the car, and I simply told them, "It's okay, that's one of my favorite drinks to order, but I will learn how to make it using our Ninja machine and Googling the recipe, because I vowed and still do to never support or purchase anything else from Taco Cabana again." The only thing I wish for from this unfortunate experience is for you to properly train your employees to be consistent, honest (because when my mother called back, Rachael claimed she had no issue adding it, which was false; if that were true, I would have bought the drinks), and fair. It's crucial in this climate for people to avoid making minorities feel discriminated against, as that could cost you a significant amount of business. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Ewwww. The cheese on top is hot but the cheese inside the enchilada is not melted at all. Rice is gummy and in gummy clumps. Guacamole was put on the plate brown. It didn't turn brown. It was like that when I opened my to-go box. Eat at your own risk!

Horrible. Never have any green salsas. Employees look uneducated to a new level. Food is GARBAGE. Why do post a beautiful picture of street tacos that looks like some good diced fajita carne asada just to give some boiled chewy meat on a tough corn tortilla. Death on this franchise, death is what I wish on this mockery of Tex Mex food.

I have not been to Taco Cabana in years! The ladies in the kitchen were working extremely hard and urgent while preparing every order fresh! I enjoyed the food, and especially my $2 margarita! It was a great experience to endure after so many years. I will be returning to satisfy my appetite, and maybe start my Monday's off right with a strawberry limeade margarita!

I can't believe I even gave 1 star the order was wrong even then I can deal with the fact they forgot cheese and there meat dry af what I can't get passed is how they allow rude females to work there the guy greeting me and took my order was nice once I got to the window my order was read wrong she rolled her eyes constantly like there stuck to her brain she slammed the window multiple times without even letting me tell her how she forgot my drink then the drink that was correct she literally didn't put the top on had it poured on my hand gave me no napkins then when she forgot my second drink got mad cause I told her she forgot one and then she gave me someone else's drink the manager was nice I had to ask a diff employee if there a number online then the girl started speaking to me when I was trying to speak with someone else with less attitude I was still nice as I tried to get someone to speak to then I saw a manager in the back noticing a issue which shows great eye this was June 25 at 5 to 5:30 and he was so much help apologized even listened will I ever go back no but Taco cabana is lowering there standards to every other fast food chain every place hires horrible employees because there desperate but you lose money with bad attitudes I rather pay high price for good service then low for bad if you don't like where you are working please find another job stop making other people's days as bad as yours

Every time we come they don't have meat or too lazy to cook any. It's a hour until closing and they act like the shift is over I asked for a plate the man told me they don't have enough meat for a plate. I asked for a margarita I don't know what they gave me . Food was just thrown together.Over all disappointed with this location

Don't come here if you plan on ordering taco boxes for your work place. If you do, plan on waiting over an hour for your order. Most likely there are several others just like you who want to buy their coworkers breakfast on a Friday morning. I called 30 minutes prior to arriving to make an order for 3 dozen tacos, however no one picked up the phone. I then decided to just order at the counter once I arrive. When I got there I noticed several other people waiting on their order with angry faces and wondered why. I later saw a lady cancelling her order after her patients ran out. Another gentlemen was raising his voice at the cashier for forgetting his order an hour ago (he told me he called in an hour ago). I saw at least four people about to order and then decided on walking out. I took my chances anyways and ordered my three boxes. I was told my wait time would be 25 minutes... however I was wrong, very wrong. I ended up waiting over an hour for my order, and the worst part was that they forgot my order. I was holding my number card and waiting there for the longest time too. I ended up coming to work late because of this. Worst idea ever.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

Ambiance: upon walking in, it was chaos and sooooo many people standing up and sitting down. Walking around with drinks. I felt like I was in a club. A server made her way to me to take my Togo order. While waiting, I grabbed a drink at the bar and just made the happy hour cut off. Service was great as I was able to get my order and it was a large order. Everything was correct. The house margarita was ok, I wish I had gotten the hibiscus flavor. Order; Crab Tostadas Mixed Fajitas Snapper Mole Enchilada Ninfa 2 Tacos Margarita Mix The only thing I would order again is the crab tostadas and the beef fajitas. The chicken had no flavor at all. The charros beans and rice were not anything special. I was not a fan of either. Overall, we are not planning to order from here again. It just wasn't what Mark Weins made it seem like on his review. Also, whoever the driver was practically could not wait for me to turn around. Sorry, I had to take a pic. Very rude.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful. He cleaned his plate...literally not a grain of rice in sight! I had the smoked chicken verde enchiladas and WOW! What an amazing dish. I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur especially being from California. I have always said Tex Mex?.....eeeeyuck! But Candente has changed my tune! I will definitely be back to visit when I return!

Glowing red. Burning. Candente…read more Let me start by saying that I'm not into Mexican food unless it's an auntie or grandma making it at their house. I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
