I've gotten a burrito from this place only two times and both times it came with undercooked rice. My question to whoever is reading this is how can you make a restaurant that's sells BURRITOS and one of the main ingredients of a burrito is rice and you don't check to see if it's fully cooked. For me personally what I just ordered has more rice than anything else, the shit is literally a 9/1 ratio of rice to everything else and no that's not an exaggeration. Meat is good, if you order a burrito from a burrito restaurant make sure not to get one of the main ingredients I guess. I stopped by to redeem my birthday burrito. The little boy behind counter seemed high as hell. Asked for freebird with steak and a regular size queso and chips. When I got to register he had me download the app to redeem my birthday coupon for free burrito. So then tells me I can't use it cause I got ground beef. I let him know I ordered steak. He proceeded to argue with me so I got manager Crystal involved. So redid my burrito to what I actually ordered. I ended up paying for a large queso and chips since the kid got that wrong as well. I dine in at this location on occasion. However, I use The Woodlands and Humble much more often for catering. I love the party trays they offer. Each one will typically feed 10 people. They have the general assortment of burritos that Freebirds offers and do a good job of mixing up the ingredients to give people options. I also really appreciate the vegan and vegetarian options they offer. I really need those options for some of my customers. They deliver on-time which in my world is an absolute must. I appreciate the first rate service I receive from the Humble (and Woodlands) location. I am well pleased. Bon appétit. read more

Let me start by saying the service at this location is very good. It doesn't matter what time of day we've gone in or what day of the week, we've gotten friendly service. They make you huge burritos! Even when you order the small ones they're HUGE!!! This issue I have is not with any Freebirds location, but rather with their corporate office. So they have big signs stating they serve beyond meat for a vegan option, awesome. So you go in thinking, cool I can actually get a bowl or burrito and have a vegan option other than just veg. I look at the Beyond Meat and it's loaded with more than half of it as fried potatoes. What the H? Fried potatoes? Did they put fried potatoes in any of their other proteins to stretch them out, NO! Then on top of that, they have the nerve to up charge $1.50 for their potato mixture seriously? They charge 50 cents for each taco to get the potato mixture. It's so frustrating as a vegan to find options and then when a company makes an option they up charge. It is beyond understanding that not only would you up charge but you up-charge for a substandard product. Shame on you Freebirds! read more

I only came to this location 3 or 4 times because they gave out promotional coupons to area businesses and I was able to grab and use a few of them. Their flyer had 2 coupons and since I usually spend less than $10 at lunch, I decided to use the BOGO free coupon. Eat one at the restaurant, and save the other for next days lunch. Just don't have them put any fresh veggies on the burrito that will prevent you from microwaving it the next day. I have been to a couple of their other locations in town and they all seem to be fairly consistent. I appreciate that they have multiple options for their tortillas, and a funky interior, but that's about where the love ends. To me, their food is just not very flavorful. I'm a South Texas Mexican food snob who has never tried this chain. But my 2 out-of-state co-workers wanted to try it, so I tagged along. I ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of refried beans and a side of guacamole. I watched the prep. Sadly, they do not know how to make quesadillas. They melted the cheese on a tortilla and then added the grilled/chopped chicken. I asked for some pico de gallo because I knew it was going to be plain and bland. The quesadilla was plain and bland. I choked it down. No peppers in the pico, and that's just unacceptable. Beans were okay but the guacamole was bland. They serve plastic food here. How can people eat this stuff? There were only 2 salsa choices: tomatillo, and spicy tomatillo. I pumped the spicy into 3 small salsa cups. When I eat at Taco Cabana, I'll fill at least 8 of these little plastic cups full of their delicious red salsa, and eat all of it. When I saw the consistency of the salsa here, I backed off to 3. If you haven't tried Taco Cabana, you are missing out on a fab salsa bar. And their food is not plastic. Also, try Chacho's. Their salsa bar is top-notch. The salsa was awful. Tasted like canned, and had a terrible consistency. I only had 2 or 3 bites of it. I left there completely dazed by the bad food encounter, and hungry. The music they play is top-notch though. I commend them for that. I heard 2 New Riders of the Purple Sage songs, "Dirty Business," and "Lonesome LA Cowboy." If you've never heard of NRPS, you are missing out on some quality music. Disappointed beyond words!. I work from home and ordered a salad through Favor to pick up at this location. I get my salad, which also had cilantro rice, black beans and seasoned chicken on it. Keep in mind the spring mix is on the bottom of all the other toppings. So as I mix my salad I see wilted lettuce. Okay, I'm thinking well maybe it would be just that one piece. I've recently started going to Freebirds for lunch during my work week and I do enjoy the custom burritos. Sadly on my last visit though they were poorly prepared for the lunch crowd. At 11am they were already out of some of the items I wanted and seemed to be poorly organized trying to replenish the food items. So basically my order was missing several ingredients I wanted and they were even out of bottled water! I hope who ever is in charge of keeping this place running smoothly and making sure the food items remain in stock gets better at what they are suppose to do because I would hate to give up on a place that I just recently started to enjoy. read more

We came here at night to get dinner and were treated very average (not like any other I have been too) The girl had an attitude and all the workers were having other conversations in front of us while we were not told how long it would take. We also asked for guacamole and the girl scraped the container for both our meals and it literally was a spoon of it. She looked at me as like I knew that something was wrong. Has to be the worst Freebirds experience I have ever had. No greeting coming in and no urgency to be waited on as a new customer. My money spends just as well as anyone's. Ordered a monster on flour and the tortilla used was one for the smaller burrito because the girl who rolled it couldn't keep everything in and it all kept falling out as I was trying to eat it. This was my first Freebirds experience as I have been a Chipotle loyalist for many years. I was unimpressed with the level of service but I contribute this to the restaurant closing in less than 45 minutes. I worked in the service industry so I understand the struggle and understand that the staff wants to close out their shift and get off work. We're only human so did not allow it to bother me. The biggest drawback in my experience was the saltiness of my food.
