A reliable staple in the city of Downey for over 10 years. The quality is always good for the most part. Sometimes the chicken can have a bit too much salt, but other than that it is pretty consistently good. I do appreciate the later close times now. And the employee with the beard and glasses is the best, great attitude and service. read more

My wife went there three days ago, to get me my favorite chicken bowl. They advised her sorry ma'am, it will be 20 minutes. Totally unacceptable for lunch time. I ended up with a veggie bowl which was quite good. read more

I used to love coming here because it's right by my job but the service here is horrible now. It's is 12:55pm on 12/11, the cashier was rude by far the most rude employee I have ever encountered. I went to pick up my online order and you have to wait for the cashier to go to the back to grab it and she refused to grab my order, instead would ignore me and just help the customers there. Usually employee will finish the payment with the customer ordering in the restaurant then grab the bag from the back since they are right by the door. She did not. She helped a total of 5 customers and would not grab my bag in between the gaps she had. Finally another employee came and she grabbed my food and I had my hand out to receive the bag and she just did a little toss onto the counter and walks away. I would now rather drive to a different location then going to this one. I thought it was just me but there was an older man who wanted Coca Cola and asked the cashier if they had coke and she looks at him with an annoyed look and says no. Apparently they didn't have coke or Diet Coke. So instead of looking annoyed how about tell the customer that you are out before making that sell. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years so I know it can be a lot but when someone is being kind to you, why belittle people. I also got to work and there was sour cream outside of the burrito wrapper and all over the bowl below it. It didn't leak from inside the wrapper so it just shows how messy this place is on top of the rude customer service. read more

This is the 2nd time I've been charged for multiple items that I didn't ask for. The last time I ordered 3 chips, was charged for 2 and only given one. After calling the Google number. After NOT being connected with this store location but instead a rep at a call center. The employee sent me an email to get a replacement. When I went back today they said the email was NOT good enough. I ordered 2 drinks and was charged for 4. I ordered 3 guacamole on the side and was charged for 4. I don't feel it is a simple mistake as when you order at Chipotle it is ALL MADE TO ORDER. To be charged extra when the order is given makes no sense to me.? I'm going to have to triple-check the order before paying and hold up the line. It was interesting how rushed I was for having a "large" order that barely broke 100$, keep in mind the upcharge for the things I didn't get. read more

Online orders are horrible here! The bowls are made so small & there's never any protein in them! Definitely dont get what we are paying for!! read more

Been to this Chipotle the past couple of times. Once in morning & at night. Dining area is unappealing to eat at, workers there don't greet or say thank you, barely acknowledge you, & to top it off they don't put utensils or napkins for your mobile order. Would you like me to eat with my hands? Going to drive a bit further for a better service. read more

Horrible Experience and Scary!!!  Walked in and the guy took a good minute before he put his gloves and stared at me. No welcome No how can i help just stared. Anyhow I said may I have 4 bowls please all white rice and pinto beans except 1 with out beans.  He threw the food in the bowl splashing everywhere. He said what protein each meal? I said I rather give you my order 1 by 1 because I have had bad experience in the past and my orders have been wrong. OMG I must of said something wrong because he rolled his eyes and put his hands in his waist MAD shaking his head.  I asked "Are you ok" he said yes why I responded because your being very rude and throwing my food in the bowl.   We continued with the order and he was still rolling his eyes and he almost got my 4 orders wrong ‍At this point I just wanted to get out of there I felt ABUSED and missed treated I paid for my order and asked to speak to the manager. As soon as he heard me say that he was mumbling something refused to give me his name nor did he had a name badge or anything so I took a picture. He was fuming came across the cashier desk to confront me almost snached my phone. I was SCARED for my life NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO OR RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION  As soon as the manager came out the guy continued to help others, still giving attitude to others who were at no fault ‍ It was apparent that the worker is a bully even the manager didn't know how to react all she said was ill have a talk with him. Poor Staff for Management hope they train their workers to provide Excellent Customer Service because at the end of the Day I'm paying for my food is not Free.  After many years coming here is unfortunate but it will be my last from a person who was there almost weekly and spend $60 - 80 each time not to mentioned the catering for my businesses no more from this location you don't have my business nor money. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH HOPE OWNERS TAKE THIS SERIOUS IF THEY WANT TO SUCCEED! read more

My boyfriend and i should have turned back around the moment we saw dust all over the walls. While waiting 30 minutes in line (only 4 people ahead of us) the employees were joking around and too busy chit chatting as if they were in highschool. We are finally next and there was no chicken. Mind you the chicken was in the back getting literally burnt (no employee over the grill btw)! they were out of rice and we had to wait longer until our order could be taken. Place overall was messy and seriously unprofessional, there were plenty of employees but all too immature to handle work. I would understand if they were short staffed but given these conditions, thats not the case we are certainly not coming back here again. PS the employees DID NOT change their gloves the entire time we were waiting in line. Save yourselves the trouble and go to another locarion! read more

Went in at night around 845pm and that was a mistake. I wanted to try their brisket. Long story short, very small portions along with having burnt small pieces. Maybe it was like that because, they ran out or it was going to close in a couple of hours. Everything else was cold too and stale (Rice, Tortillas). Don't go to Downey location after 8pm. Im not one to complain but inflation along with bad food is not ok. I would of rather of them cancelled my order saying food is running out and not fresh. read more

Well let me start off your in the business to serve, establishment closes at 11 and we came in at about 1035 pm. This place has always been my go to spot near my home. No complaints on the food BUT we went on Saturday around 9:30pm and the young guy helping us (couldn't see his name) was RUDE. Horrible body language and demeanor was very unprofessional. As we ordered our bowls his responses were blunt and rude with an annoyed face, as if we were an inconvenience coming in. Our orders were not complicated at all mind you. Young guy, ear piercings, and full low beard. Def ruined the mood of getting good food. read more

I'm so sick of this location! Last night was my last time at this place. I was so pissed I didn't get the guy's name, but he was young, maybe a freshman in college, so I definitely understand the immaturity. The kid was so rude because I asked for extra rice smh. Since I knew he was testing my patience, I had to ask another employee to take over because I did not want him handling my family's food. The lady was professional, so I appreciated that. I ordered two bowls l, 1 was double steak, and the other bowl was half chicken half steak, so you know it was pricey. I get home, and the damn chicken is burnt. So freaking annoying!!! I threw the whole bowl away. I swear I'm done with this location. This is not the first time the employee(s) were rude and the food was either burnt or the rice was crunchy. Trash experience and trash location! read more

Really like how they are assisting customers during the pandemic, it is very organized and clean. If they charge you, as soon as they're done, they wash their hands and put on a new pair of gloves. Also, they have someone serving your drinks. Now for the food, delicious as always. I ordered a steak burrito, total price was about $9.75 read more

This review is 100% for Sam's service! Came in today 7/31 around 7pm and Sam greeted us with a smile (so rare these days). Even with a long line, he was friendly & engaging while still managing to get the orders out as quickly as possible. What is going on with this location? I've been a customer for 5+ years and the past few months everything has changed. The line is always long after 5 pm. Be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes to order. Food is hit and miss and they may be out of what you want. No rice or no protein. Soda machine may not be working. Employees seem over worked and stressed. They will rush you and pile on tiny portions. If you ask for more it's only a tiny scoop. The whole place is dirty and restrooms are horrible! This last time I went I was given no receipt. Don't order through the app because portions s will be small and you may get someone else's food. The rice is sometimes crunchy and inedible. The last order I purchased I had to throw away. The carnitas was all fat and the meat was crispy like it had been there for many hours. Disappointed and will try another location in another city. read more

I just came from this restaurant. There was one clerk working, and I had three orders of food. I received absolutely no protein, sofritas on my salad, maybe a spoonful. My chicken bowl also lacked meaningful protein. She was all by herself until 2 guys peak out from the back. I paid almost $40 just to still be starving. This service was a JOKE. Literally waited so long to order only for them to say they had no change and had to leave without food.

Received my delivery order minus the corn salsa and chips I ordered. $2 bucks so no big deal but it's super annoying when I only ordered 4 things and 1 was missing. I was just here earlier. Tried to redeem my rewards for chips and salsa. When I scan my Chipotle app, they said that its not going through cuz its only by online order. I checked the term and conditions and it says that u can use it at any participating store. When the "manager" and tried it, she said i have to at least buy $5 worth of food.. which is weird cuz we just bought 4x worth of food and made sure to scan it before we pay. Then she said that it might have been used already...but I just activated it when i got to the restaurant. Does she think we want free food? Seriously! ....the chips is stale already. Very disappointing. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Came in at 8:50 to order food since it was open. How can a location run out of so many items at once an hour before closing?? Came in there was no fajitas, no steak, and no green Tabasco. My rice was old and cold and clumped together. I loved eating a chipotle but whoever the closing crew here is definitely dropping the ball! Too many not knowing new employees that have no reason to have these ingredients. My guacamole (which I paid extra for the large) was literally just a big clump of guacamole, to top it all off they didn't give me a receipt-- definitely disappointed. Do better chipotle. I'd give a higher score if the employees were nice or heloful. They make fun of ppl who r different, walk differently, etc. That's disability discrimination. Everytime I've been there they've made fun of me. I tend to walk different and need a small cart to maintain my balance and they always make degrading comments including thinking I'm homeless bc of my walker(cart). I've said something to corporate but obviously they didn't do anything bc it keeps happening. It's unprofessional and ilegal but they don't stop there. They make degrading comments about overweight ppl too. I've heard them. The foid is great most of the time but it doesn't make up for staff's treatment. There isn't a place for disabled to sit. The chairs r hard wo much support and assistance devices block the walkway bc they have narrow walkways. Whoever owns it doesn't care about meeting the disabled accessible standard at all. The food is good most of the time but the rice is overcooked or dry at times. Staff do try to short you but as long as you as for more (like salsa) you'll be ok. Manager tends to be rude so don't go to her just call corporate read more
