Chipotle is located in the Cave Creek Crossing. I took advantage of their BOGO offer. I got a reminder that the BOGO offer was about to expire. Before I started to order I let the staff members know I was using my BOGO offer. She didn't know about the offer nor did the supervisor. I explained what I received and she acknowledged it was good. I ordered 2 chicken bowls with brown rice, pinto beans, cheese and lettuce. I got some salsas on the side. When I got to the register, I tried to open their app. The app just sat and would not open. I asked if I could show the email. Staff said yes, looked at the note and charged me for one meal. It shouldn't have been this hard but everything worked out. The food was fresh and plentiful. This is probably the worst location I've been too. Super cheap on the portions and at my most recent visit, they forgot my chips. I should've double checked my order but this one time I didn't. Tables are also always dirty inside and the staff are not friendly. It's a good location but there needs to be a major overhaul on the management side. read more

Best experience at Chipotle for the first time; Natalia was the girl helping me, she was super sweet and very quick; she knew what to do and was so awesome!! The environment was very clean, the bathrooms were literally perfect for as perfect a "fast-food" restaurant can be. They had good vegetarian options overall, and the kids build-your-own tacos was very customizable and adaptable to dietary needs. When I went to get an extra bag, I've never been served so fast; Camilla (? Camila) was manning the register and was able to get me my extra supplies! Well, who hasn't had Chipotle these days? Went there after a day of hiking. Ordered the Sofritas salad ( Plant-based protein). The lady taking my order was skimping on everything so I had to ask her for more of everything. Thankfully I was inside ordering instead of going through a drive-thru. Once it was made everything was great. Quick and tasty, budget-friendly, fast and casual. The courses definitely restrict you to follow a certain standard, but you can customize them, It doesn't matter if it is a burrito, a bowl, a salad or some tacos the portion sizes are pretty huge and filling. Keep in mind guacamole is extra. The seating is usually uncomfortable but this location has a great view at the counter type seating. read more

Unfortunately this chipotle location is not it. I've been to many chipotle's before, service is always great, clean establishment, etc. which cannot be said about this location. We went on a Sunday afternoon, not during a lunch rush. There were hardly any customers there and they seemed fully staffed, yet trash was overflowing and staff was mostly socializing with each other. I have some serious food allergies and can typically rely on chipotle for a safe order, but the cross contamination was rampant - i.e. sour cream drips in all of the salsas. I didn't feel confident ordering but did anyway, and regretted it - I was definitely exposed to the allergens I need to avoid. I hope management can improve this location, it gives chipotles a bad reputation. read more

Every time i come here the chips are either over cooked or not cooked enough, steak is always fatty, who cares about C.I cut the fat off. I've never been to a chipotle this horrible before and it's really embarrassing for you guys, crew/managers wear headphones on the line, no gloves for grill, long acrylic nails (which is crazy because when i worked at chipotle i couldn't even wear clear polish) and no non slips, corporate seriously needs to come in to this location and set you straight. We've been going to this chipotle 2-3 times per week for the last year after we moved nearby. The last month or two the food hasn't been great, to say the least. We mostly do mobile ordering, but tonight we were really disappointed. We get home and our bowls are half full, even though we had asked for extra rice and corn. It's almost as if they put less when you ask for extra, I guess we should just stop asking? One of the bowls had like half a serving of steak, a total rip off for paying almost $12 a bowl. Steak was also horribly dry, and it was around 7:30pm, dinner time so it shouldn't have been sitting out too long. We also noticed recently that the corn salsa is VERY spicy. It's usually just a mild spice if you get a jalapeño piece, but now regular salsa isn't even necessary with how crazy hot the corn is. I'm not sure what's been going on with this location lately but it's definitely losing quality. read more

I was told this malfunction was prevalent at more locations. Corporate apparently doesn't work on the weekend. It was almost 1pm, the location wasn't jammed. Tidying up was not being done. Update: Nov 3, 2024. OK my first review was bad because the portions were so small, but I thought I would go back because the CEO came out and said he was fixing that problem. We'll the portions this time were much better. Unfortunately that wasn't the only problem with this place. So went in a Saturday a little after noon. Maybe a total of 4 people eating there but nobody in line. And there was maybe 5 employees all looking bored. So I step up to the counter to order two bowls. So I start ordering, and both bowls are very different. I'm being super rushed, and as I so, nobody else is in line. One bowl has moved up the line and that person is yelling to me to pick what I want there, while a second person has my other bowl, and he wants to know what I want on this one. Its like now they move your food so fast up the line, that they will win when you forget items. Or maybe its some race where their bonus is based on if they can get you in and out the door in under 14 seconds. I don't know. But its the worst service I have ever had and this time, I am not going back. Note to management: Have one and only one employee serve one customer no matter how many orders that customers has. If another customer comes in, have another employee serve that new customer. Having multiple employees all yelling at one customer at once is plain STUPID, and if you don't know that, maybe you need some classes in hospitality and running a restaurant. read more

So, this is my third review of the Carefree Highway location, and each experience is worse than the prior negative experience. I walk into this location approximately five minutes after opening. All the employees have their backs to me and the other customers. They won't explain why they aren't serving. Chipotle has excellent food, but continuously poor service. I have yet to go in this establishment and find the place clean. Doesn't matter if it's afternoon or evening weekday or weekend. Tables are not maintained clean during the business day. The counter the employees work on is always coated in food and it's quite alarming as bacteria is free to grow here. The worse thing as most visits but not all the employees constantly cross contaminate the condiments by dumping the almost empty container into the new product. The staff simply do not care about their jobs. For instance, I asked for a little bit of red sauce, and he poured a large scoop into my bowl. When I mentioned that it was too much, he grabbed the bowl and began scooping out the excess sauce (using the same spoon) which was mixed with sour cream, and putting it back into the sauce container! Then, he switched to scooping the excess sauce out of my bowl and into the trash can. Tried again hoping they had improved but nope. This is still by far the worst chipotle I've ever eaten at. They went skimpy on everything except the black bean (juice) and I ordered "easy bean". It's an understatement When I say it was COVERED in the juice. The rice was so disgusting and soggy with bean juice that I couldn't even eat it. On top of that, there was maybe a tablespoon of each of the other toppings and a half a tablespoon of guacamole which paid almost $3 extra for. not only were the staff probably the most unsocial people I have ever seen at a chipotle but they charged me for many extra things. Wasn't until I got home and looked at the receipt that I realized all the extra charges. got chips and queso and and was charged for two additional sides of queso, separate from the chips and queso. none of bowls had queso, so that made no sense. got two burritos and was charged for 2 sides of tortillas... which we didn't order or receive. Never asked if I wanted any drinks or anything else. Which I did but if you make me feel like I am wasting your time by ordering, I'm not going to order. To make matters worse I have observed the manager's at this location cut back on portions like cheese and guac...AND with the chips, in particular, to probably make up on their costs and increase the bottom line. . Lots of people working but only one person on the line so u had to wait a long time. The steam table was disgustingly dirty and empty...beans looked terrible and out of chicken. I can't eat red meat.
