Great place for lunch! This place is bigger than the Mod Pizza by my house. The staff was friendly and kind and they did a good job of managing the lunch crowd. I did the make your own with thick crust. My pizza was hot and tasty

Pretty good for a quick pizza. Ordering online was easy, order was ready on time. Drinks super expensive.

As many toppings as you want for a good price. I like the dipping sauces. I used to go to fired pie but I since moved now I come here.

Always good and tasty for a fair price. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. If you build your own it's hard to complain.

I used to love this place but it's gotten worse and worse. Poor quality and unreliable ready time. I'm done with Mod.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Let's start with the service. We were greeted…read moreby a friendly server who was pleasant and attentive. The food was outstanding! Our waiter, who was from Italy, suggested that I get the pasta carbonara, but have it made the authentic Italian way not the way it was on the menu. It was so good. The prices were fair and the ambience was very very nice. We sat outside at a table and it was lovely. I'm absolutely going back.

Alberto's was awesome, expensive, and in every way a delightful experience. I can't believe I've…read morelived in the area for seven years and never made my way to this quaint and homey little gem. Other reviews on this place seem to run to extremes of awesome or horrible. Put me solidly in the awesome camp. We were immediately and graciously welcomed. Water, wine, comp snacks, and daily special offerings were immediately provided. It just felt good being in a quaint and slightly ecclectic, but thoroughly Italian Mediterranean ristorante. The large open hearth brick oven provided the warming pleasure of open flame and a slightly smokey background wafting aroma. The comp snacks of bread, olive oil and basil, and red beans were a meal unto themselves. Alberto's wine list was reasonably extensive with many Italian offerings at every price point. The diverse and traditional culinary offerings were thoroughly Mediterranean diet specialties. Be sure to listen to the specials. I put the menu down the instant I heard veal osso bucco. Nothing further to decide, except for an appetizer. We chose the bruschetta which was everything one could desire. Fresh fresh fresh. My Osso Bucco was roast for 11 hours to absolute tender perfection. My wife had the seafood soup, a rich and tasty tomato based play on chiopino. We sincerely loved our running dialog about the food with the owner. Personal, sincere, and gracious. The tiramisu dessert was one of the best I've ever had as well. Punctuating the entire experience was my espresso, as authentic and rich, and satisfying as could possibly be provided. Alberto's isn't for everyone, and not if you are looking for inexpensive formula Italian fare. Don't get me wrong, I like Olive Garden too, but authentic, sophisticated, hand crafted awesomeness comes with a price. Alberto's is well worth a visit.

If you're looking for awesome pizza and fresh salads, Lamp is the spot! We hadn't been in a long…read moretime and recently found ourselves craving pizza, so we decided it was time to go back. We started with the Grapes & Gorgonzola salad, and it was SO good! It has grapes, Gorgonzola, pine nuts, basil, balsamic vinaigrette, and honey. Such a great combination of flavors. The salads are a really good portion size and are perfect for sharing before your pizza arrives, or they're substantial enough to make a meal on their own if you're skipping the pizza. We were in the mood for a white pizza and went with the Wood Roasted Mushrooms. This pizza was delicious! It's topped with roasted mushrooms, garlic, ricotta, and shaved provolone. You can add prosciutto, but we kept ours as is and loved it. All of their pizzas come in one size with six slices, which is perfect for sharing. We skipped the gelato this time and opted for wine instead, but Lamp does have great gelato if you're looking for something sweet to finish your meal. Lamp is a great spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything we've had here is good, and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. We definitely won't wait so long to come back next time!

We ordered the Nona pizza with sausage. I was told it was like deep dish pizza. But that wasn't the case. It was thin crust pizza, but cut into squares. I thought it was pretty good. Honestly, if I came back, I'd like to see what they had. The waitress we had was very good. Attentive and pleasant.

While some seats were available, it was a very warm day, and I couldn't manage sitting in the sun, as the one umbrella I saw wasn't opened, so we went back inside to see if any bar seating had opened, and fortunately for us, a couple of chairs at the bar were now available. It's super comfortable sitting at the bar here, with a nice open-air view across the bar to the outside patio area. The service was friendly, and the happy hour menu is plentiful. We were here for the food today, and there is no shortage of options at (by today's standards) pretty reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. And if you come at other than peak hours, you can even get happy hour in the main dining room and patio, so we hope to give that a try! We ordered three items: handcrafted meatballs with San Marzano sauce ($10) and rigatoni with pulled chicken ($12) from the happy hour menu and the half Tomaso's Sicilian salad from the regular menu (essentially a happy hour price at only $8). All of it was delicious, but the standout was the salad, which my wife said was even better than the salad she orders when we visit Little Italy in San Diego. That's a huge compliment! The atmosphere isn't quiet, but they didn't have super loud, blaring music when we were there, which was welcome. It's essentially a square dining room with a bar on the side. While the bar patio on the north side of the building isn't much and isn't shaded unless you score a spot with the umbrella or come at a time of day when the building blocks the sun, the main patio is nicely covered and shaded at all times. We look forward very much to coming here again and trying other items they offer, especially the pizzas. It's nice to have another dining option in this part of town. :)
