I absolutely love their seasonal menu. I have tried a few of their seasonal items and have always loved it.

It just so happened that my gals wanted to visit First Watch for lunch. Even though I was here yesterday, there is plenty of food to try here. Our server was very pleasant. We chose Cobb salad, Trifecta, 2 orders of half salad, half sandwich. On the 2 orders, we both chose the kale and berry salad along with a veggie sandwich. The Trifecta comes with two eggs, a multigrain pancake and bacon. The pancake is almost dinner plate size! Service was very quick. We all loved our orders. We asked upfront for separate receipts which they are happy to do. You may use cash, card or to speed up the process, all can be done on your phone. You will need to have your card out so that it can be scanned with your cell. No waiting this way. Great service and excellent food as usual. Shared parking lot. read more

"Fair is Good"?????? That's what the cashier/waitress (not my server) said after asking me how everything was. I said "Fair." She eagerly replied, "Fair is Good!" We love First Watch .. we don't love the order we had this past weekend and moreover the canned response given when more than half of our order was missing, ( $30+) and the items with said items we ordered, ( such as the fruit that went with the French Toast and the Million Dollar Potatoes ; the Bacon ; even the cheese that goes on the Chickichanga) BUT we didn't get that.. because we got half of someone else's order and some really bad hollandaise sauce-- inedible. This was a Uber Eats order and when you give a rating on Uber Eats , well it's sort of like , 'who cares .. here is a credit for $20' . How thoughtful and generous considering how expensive this crappy brunch was. It actually was angering. We just wanted a decent breakfast- brunch as we flew in the night before and were late -- no food in the home -- tired and no energy to go out. First time I'd had shrimp and grits and, holy moly, it was wonderful! A perfect balance of ingredients (ratio of corn, sausage, onions, shrimp, peppers), not at all greasy. I will certainly be back to order that again. My only gripe-- and I apologize if this sounds trivial-- is that real and actual half and half or cream Is not on the table but one has to ask for it and then wait for it to be delivered. It just bothers me that the default is for an artificial product rather than real. The coffee here is fine But not stand out. Also, strangely, coffee is delivered in a carafe with just enough to fill two cups so it is inevitable that one needs to ask for a new carafe of coffee as soon as the first two cups are filled. read more

We came for a late brunch on a Sunday and enjoyed our meal - we had coupons to use and it seems like we weren't the only ones. I ordered the chickichanga - the flavor was pretty good, chicken and chorizo with some green chilies and cheese. I should've asked what the Vera Cruz sauce was because I'm not a big fan of creamy sauces and it was like a hollandaise sauce so I scraped most of it off. My husband ordered the pumpkin pancakes with sunny side up eggs and sausage and my mother in law got the chicken pesto bowl. They both enjoyed their meals!! Service was great - our waitress kept our water cups full (even though the water didn't taste great). Been a regular customer for past two years and had a few issues with service over the last couple months. Recently a new manager with a huge ego and rude attitude was there around lunchtime with very disrespectful behavior at first seating us then again at cash register! No surprise that the place was almost empty at noon lunchtime! We have gone there once a week for quite awhile and will never go back! That dude obviously could care less so shame on them for having him in that position!! read more

We've been coming here for a long time. And we continue to enjoy their food. While it's somewhat expensive, the quality makes it worth it. We went with friends this time. We had three different dishes. Two people ordered the classic eggs Benedict, one ordered blueberry pancakes and one ordered a Spring Special, the Hacienda hash. Always one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. I'm glad I found this one tucked up into the corner of Cave Creek away from the busy freeway. I always get the trifecta which includes a waffle, eggs and bacon. Their waffle is light and soft with a little crisp and the butter and syrup combo is everything I look for in a perfect Belgian waffle. My friend tried the new Al Pastor hash and overall it was good but it was a little too chunky to blend. The flavors were a little too lunch style for my breakfast cravings. We got one lemon ricotta pancake to split and it was delicious as always. We got the beef sandwich to go and my brother loved it. It is always a treat to go to First Watch! The staff are friendly and welcoming. We were a group of exercise buddies celebrating a birthday. Bad day for First Watch. We usually frequent this restaurant but we stopped for a while due to our food looking like it was thrown on the plate,but today after a few months we went back in. To start our service was ridiculous, this woman Christan didn't show up to our table for the longest time and then when she got there seemed all over the place. And there was another server with their apron hanging all the way down to his knees almost .I think the manager actually brought us our food and he was calm and professional. I don't understand how other FirstWatch restaurants are knocking it out of the park with service and High standards, and carefree just seems like the High standard Not standard, and Today... This place is the slowest breakfast restaurant I've ever been to in my life. There was a line of people waiting to sit down and at least eight available tables. The hostess is very sweet but completely overwhelmed and getting no support from management. I do not believe there's even management on site. Food was very "OK" but don't ever do takeout you'll be waiting for at least one hour just for takeout. I have been a fan of first watch for a few years now, and I've never been disappointed until I came to this location. My husband and I came on a Saturday for brunch, and there is a decent way. The lobby was full of people waiting to be seated, yet when you looked into the dining room, there were several open tables. Nonetheless, we waited to be seated. My husband ordered the farmhouse skillet and an orange juice. I had one of their seasonal dishes which was a green sauce smothered Carnitas burrito. Initially I was very excited for the burrito, as the description touted Carnitas filled with a number of ingredients. The green sauce left little to the imagination, as it was fairly bland and not a hint of spice was found. Furthermore, the bites that did have Carnitas were quite delicious, however that was maybe two or three. The burrito was full of black beans and potatoes, filler ingredients as I would like to call them. My husband's dish was just okay, in fact, it seemed like a fairly small portion for what you pay. His dish is supposed to come with bacon, and with what he got, it was a sad portion to say the least. We also opted for the million dollar bacon, which is delicious and I highly recommend it. However I don't think it's worth the five dollars. In the past it has seemed where is it as the pieces of bacon have been pretty substantial and reasonable. It was just this time that the pieces seem smaller, and just pathetic. The service was just OK, we had one waitress come to our table and take our drink order. Not two minutes later, another waitress came by and said she would be taking our order. It seems like this location would benefit from some more management and organization. All in all, first watch usually is a great spot for brunch. However I would think twice before coming to this particular location. read more
