What a great find. We have driven by this place many, many times, but have stopped in. We have no excuse for never stopping by and now that we have, we regret not having done so much sooner. Fantastic laid back, homey atmosphere. It ain't fancy, but you're going for the food though anyway. We had the Navajo Taco which is nothing like a taco you've ever had before. It a large fry bread on a plate with all the fixin's piled on top. A meal all by itself. Also had the regular tacos which were hard shell and those shells are made in-house. Delicious! For dessert we shared the apple, cinnamon, powdered sugar, honey fry bread. Mmm. All the ingredients are fresh and the salsa very tasty. It's order-at-the-front-counter, seat yourself and pick up your order at the rear counter service. The two ladies who work there are cordial, helpful to those of first timers in making menu decisions and very, very efficient in getting your food out. We're definitely going to return when back in Cave Creek.

Chicken tacos and a burrito with red sauce

Located Cave Creek a small family owned business and the food is wonderful. The tacos are delicious and make you want more. The prices are reasonable, however the parking is limited. I look forward to coming back every time I'm in town. It's a hidden gem in town.

Indian Village is the best place in Cave Creek, Arizona to get fry bread! There's plain fry bread and there's a lot of variety of fry bread which has toppings which make a complete meal! Very reasonable prices and friendly employees! Lots of items to buy and indoor seating to eat your food.

I can assure you these are all separate times. I'm not lying when I say this is our absolute favorite place.

I will never stop hyping this place up!!! I have come here since I can remember, even in the 90's as a kid. It is absolutely some of the best food you will ever eat. The women behind the grill are award winners, literally. Bart is such a genuine, kind, funny person, which truly shows in everything from the food to the gift shop they run. Calling him an "owner" would be cutting him short!! I have so many memories, so many items I have from so many trips to Indian Village. It truly is a part of my heart. My parents brought me, I have brought my friends, and now I bring my son. We have also brought our sweet pup with us many times, and Bart has been nothing but kind to her. Although she'll be visiting Indian Village in heaven now, we seriously could not forget to mention her and how much she loved coming here too. Thank you Bart, and thank you to the chefs, for being so simply special. You truly mean the world to us. (I will keep adding reviews and keep adding pictures!)

3 chicken tacos and chimichanga

This place is located next to Horny Toad, which is the most famous restaurant in Cave Creek so this place gets over looked a lot. GO HERE. This food is so authentic and delicious. I had 3 tacos all with chicken. They came in a hard shell but they had lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I also had their salsa on the side. I am not exaggerating when I say their salsa is the best salsa I've ever had. It has a little bit of a bite to it but not too spicy and extremely flavorful. It wasn't too tomato based either it was perfect. Their rice is also super good, I mixed everything with their salsa! My friend had the chimichanga with chicken and it came fried. It was also delicious and came with pico di Gallo on the side. We also had a piece of authentic fry bread with honey and powdered sugar. It was so good but we could barely finish it we were so full. All of the food is made fresh and they have a family whose been there since opening cooking everything from scratch. Everything you order is ordered separately even the salsa and hot sauce. Even though it's separate it's decently priced. Just so you know if you eat inside there is no AC it's pretty warm but they have tables in the back and they also have a cute Indian shop up front. Will definitely be coming again!!!

Albeit we're 'in season' here in AZ so prob. more crowded than usual, but service and food did not suffer because of it. Hubby had chile verde with beef rather than pork--loved it. Both our friend and I had the pollo fundito and it was excellent. LOTS of crema and that's a bonus! Had half to take home for tomorrow! Environment can be loud w/the large crowds, screaming kids chasing the ducks and turtles in the pond, but overall a beautiful, seemingly authentic Mexican feel. Can't wait to return!

There are turtles and ducks swimming and resting on the rocks that surround pond. Very entertaining. We had the great pleasure of having Calvin as our server. We started with margaritas on the rocks. My go to is the chicken enchiladas pequeno mole. It comes with a side of rice and black beans. I am dairy sensitive and Calvin made sure my order was without cheese. The mole is so very flavorful and the chicken is so tender. I fully recommend this dish. The one enchilada with rice and beans is just enough. I saw when driving home there is a second location that is closer to the interstate. Will have to try that location sometime. But then I probably wouldn't have Calvin's as my server. Calvin is the best!

The dirty birdy and whiskey buck were such a hit we had a few. The appetizers we tried were delicious. The seared ahi tasted yummy and the pork belly with its crunchy exterior was gobbled up quick. We then tried the cauliflower and steamed clams. The broth for the clams was so good, we asked for more bread to sop it up. The cauliflower was yummy and everything on the plate was eaten up. The girls were full after that, but I wanted to try the beet salad. Have to say, one of the best I've ever had. Beets, arugula, goat cheese, walnuts (I think) and Orange slices with a tasty vinaigrette. Although the girls were 'full', they saw that and had to try it. Nothing left in that bowl as well. Overall, very pleasantly surprised and will for sure return to try other items on the menu. Service was great btw! My wife and I will certainly be back!

The special fish of the day was grouper with coconut rice, bok choy and ginger sauce. So light and delicate! My brother had the steak frites. Cooked perfectly with a garlicky chimichurri sauce. Dessert to go!!! Carrot cake with a super sweet sauce. Skip the sauce and it's perfect. Generous portion. The inside is light and airy. Outside seating available. The only disappointment is that they don't allow dogs outside on the patio. Otherwise we would come for lunches, as we live here year round. All in all, a nice night.

First solo adventure in Arizona -- and wow, what a magical little experience…read more I stopped into Stumblina's Cantina in Cave Creek and instantly loved the vibe. I ordered the prickly pear margarita and it was absolute perfection -- not too sweet, not too sour, just a smooth little sipper with the most gorgeous fuchsia pink color. Honestly, it's as pretty as it is delicious. The queso dip was another standout. It has a nice kick (not overwhelming, but definitely some spice), with just a few whole beans mixed in. If you're sensitive to spice, you might find it a little bold -- but if you enjoy flavor, it hits the spot. They offer both classic tortilla chips and kettle chips for dipping, which was fun because each one gives the queso a totally different taste experience. I tried both -- and loved both. Service was wonderful. My waitress (Serena) was genuinely sweet, friendly, and gave great recommendations -- both of which were spot-on. The setting really makes this place special. Around 4:30 p.m. on a Monday it was peaceful and relaxed. The view outside is beautiful -- mountains in front, charming garden scenery near the Prickly Pear Inn, little shops nearby, and plenty of people-watching and car-watching if you're dining solo. It's the perfect spot to just sit, sip, and soak in the Arizona energy. If you're single, exploring, or just want a relaxing escape with great views, good drinks, and flavorful food, this is a great stop. Definitely a magical Cave Creek moment for me.

Arrived on a Sunday at 1 pm and were seated in a corner booth. All wood booth, seating is tight for 7 and would be near impossible for 8. Hard straight up back. Glad i brought coat to sit on although it was a bit cool inside too. Old western style decor inside. A little crowded and noisy but since we were huddled in a tight booth, we had good conversations compared to other places. Seating outside with fair number of people but heaters didn't appear to be on - I would have been cold outside. Mostly picnic table seating outside; sitting next to road although fenced in. Some pups with patrons. Service good overall but fairly slow. Lilly had to go verify the special for the day. My burger came several minutes after other entries arrived - weird. I had the horny toad burger with fries - great fries! Burger had brisket with bacon too - it was fairly good. We also had onion rings as appetizer which were fairly good beer battered style. Others had the Cod and taco's, but the bday girl had liver an onions which she said were very good. Everyone liked the taco's and chips that came with them. The creamed corn was just ok, and coleslaw fairly good. No offer of little dessert for bday girl which was surprising given we told the waitress this and made reservation just for the occasion. Drinks were good overall. Beautiful drive to get there, but doubtful we will be back much. Value was ok for what we got but nothing tremendously special.
