This is a take-out location but the food is spectacular. I had forgotten what great Italian beef sandwich they make here. Delicious! I felt like I was sitting in Chicago eating it. Service wasn't speedy because they make it when you order it. So I would say service is great. I probably should have called ahead. I ordered at the counter and was quoted 20 minutes. This Rosati's location has been our go-to for delivery for decades now. It's a Valley treasure and among very few remaining pizza places with their own employees delivering dinner (lunch too). Our favorites are the Chicago deep dish with sausage, and the Monster (tip: order the bigger deep dish, and kindly request 'extra crispy' for their thin crust). We order the biggest ones that will fit into our refrig and warm them (in the oven) for a repeat, equally great meal next time. Since it's just the two of us we also wrap some in plastic wrap and Ziplocks to freeze for another day (i.e. We don't buy grocery store frozen pizza!). Why do we go to all this 'trouble?' Simple: their quality and originality are unparalleled especially with such convenient delivery. There are so many pizza places in Phoenix and Scottsdale, and when I was with my wife at her parent's place today, we were trying to find a pizza place near where they live and that was tasty and could be ready in a short amount of time. It also helped that my mother-in-law had coupons handy for a few places. We chose Rosati's Pizza at the Scottsdale and Shea location. We had difficulty getting through to them when we tried the Rosati's Pizza phone number at this location. At first, my mother-in-law was disconnected. The second time, without being given a heads up, she was placed on hold and gave up after several minutes. The third time, I tried to call and waited on hold and finally handed the phone to my mother-in-law when someone asked if I wanted to place an order. We used a coupon for a free small pizza when an 18" pizza was ordered. They quoted us 25 minutes before it would be ready. I went with my father-in-law to pick up the pizza, and after the challenges on the phone, I expected it to be busy, but there was no one there waiting for pizzas though we saw a few people picking up orders while we waited. We got there in about half of the time they quoted us, so we still had about 12 minutes to wait after arriving. We picked up a small cheese pizza, a large vegetable pizza, and a salad. The pizzas were cut into very small pieces, but they were very tasty, as was the salad. The staff were courteous and helpful. Rosati's of Scottsdale is open 11 AM to 10 PM on Sunday through Thursday and 11 AM to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. There is only carryout, delivery, and catering options through this location. The Rosatis on Shea is less than one star. I paid $100+ for a missing tiramisu, an under cooked large pepperoni pizza, a under cooked and LITERALLY wet double dough with mushroom and onion large pizza. The order was late so, I called. I was told that the driver was stuck at a stop light and would be there in 5-10 mins. I told him we are only a few miles away and the order is already late. He was agitated and ended the call. I called back after the order showed up disgusting. The man told me it was GRUBHUBs fault and to call them...I replied asking if GRUBHUB was responsible for undercooking the pizza as well. He then said he would make new pizzas and I said no thanks because you couldn't get it right the first time. He then placed me on hold. He came back to say that the drive had the tiramisu of I still wanted it. I declined the, now warm and melted, tiramisu. The other Rosatis is great- this location is beyond terrible. The bad: First of all, if you try to phone in an order, get ready for a wait a long time before your call is answered. I waited through 4 minutes and 23 seconds of Chicago-Gangster Jazz music interspersed with commercials for their dough nuggets. However, that did give me time to look up their website and jot down what I wanted to order. I placed an order for a pizza and two sandwiches (meatball and Rosati's Sub - deli meat) and was given a 35 minute wait. The moderate: We headed to their location and were about 10 minutes early and were told that our pizza and "roast beef" (Cheef?) sandwich was ready. I mentioned that I didn't order a roast beef sandwich, but had instead ordered a meatball sun and a Rosati's Sub. They seemed confused, so I took one of the take-out menus from the counter and pointed out the items that I ordered. Where the Rosati's Sub was on the online menu, there was just white space on the paper version in the store. The counter person said, "Oh yeah...we discontinued a few items recently." That would have been nice to know when I placed the order. They quickly put together a meatball sub and, to their credit, just gave me the roast beef one. The meh: The food. Although I had ordered a double-crust pizza, the dough was thin and brittle. Usually I like to set aside my crusts to nibble on later, but these crusts went straight to the garbage. The roast been sandwich was a glob of beef and cheese in the middle of the roll with nothing on either end...like they didn't bother to spread the content across the length of the bun. My wife's meatball sub was bland and tasteless. We won't be back. Aside from the outdated online menu (which also features a number of coupons offering reduced prices, but they all expired in November 2024) and the inattentiveness of the person taking the order, the food is just not all that good. read more

My husband and I ordered a pizza here for pickup because it was the closest spot to where we were dog sitting. They made the pizza quick and I liked that they let us do a half and half pizza. I got my half Margarita and my husband got Hawaiian. The pizza was good but not great. The tomato sauce is interesting, not your normal tomato sauce. For $18 i got a small 2 topping thin crust pizza (jalapeno and hamburger meat) and there was hardly any meat (maybe 1 tablespoon). It was such a let down & soooo over priced for the poor quality that I will never return!! Rosati's can't even compete with Domino's (they are 1/3 the price of Rosati's) and pretty good for fast food. Another pizza place was recommended to me and gave it 5 stars....Yo Pauly's on Via Linda. Pepperoni Create Your Own Pizza 16" and Dough Nuggets! We also bought the Antipasto Salad but I didn't take a picture. The whole meal was outstanding!!! I haven't ordered from Rosati's in a few years and let me tell you, I've been missing out! I was in a pickle and had to get lunch for our staff quickly. It was the day after Super Bowl and we were super busy at work. I found the Rosatis menu in the break room so I called and ordered 5 pizzas. I have never had Rosati's before and neither had my boss. I was hoping it would be good. I took the pies back to the office and 2 of our staff said they loved pizza from Rosati's. It did not disappoint, it was sooo good! I am so happy I found this place. Well I love the pizza here and it's very consistent and good, it's definitively very high priced. They used to give awesome deals like free small cheese pizza with any large pizza purchase, now they raised to prices way up and cut the deals back. Also was pretty annoying last phone order, they wouldn't take a discount code over the phone and I forgot to bring it in, ya my fault maybe but I tried to give it over the phone or I wouldn't of cared. So recently I was looking for something to eat for lunch and decided to try Rosati's since I saw a sign board with a pizza slice offer. Unfortunately, upon placing my order for this I was told that it ended at 3 PM (it was 3:05) and that apparently another customer came in around 2:45 and bought out all the remaining individual slices. Strike 1 - did not take the sign board after something is no longer available, essentially false or misleading advertising!! Next, I decided to try their sausages sandwich that I ordered with marinara, cheese (extra charge) and hot peppers (extra charge). End result was a sandwich that cost nearly $10!! Paid for my order, gave my name and was told it would be ready in 10-12 minutes, so I went next door to BevMo to kill some time. Came back at 20 min to give a little extra time to make my sandwich which should not have taken long since they did not seem that busy. Upon returning, I had to wait nearly 5 min for someone to greet me and to see what I needed. Said I was pickup my sausage sandwich that I ordered, the person came back with a sausage pizza!! Strike 2 - did not listen and brought me the wrong item. When I clarified my order, he asked for my name and checked their system. Guessing that he did not find it for some reason (guessing it somehow was deleted) and went into the back. After waiting another 5+ min, he returned with a small box that contained by sandwich and a small container wrapped in foil on top which he said was an jus (that I did not order). There was no apology for the delay or anything, simply handed me the box and seemed to expect that I just leave .... which I did. Strike 3 - not the best customer service! My suspicion was that because he gave me an jus, I suspected they remade my order incorrectly without marinara and guess what? I was correct when I opened the box!! Strike 4 - got the order wrong when they apparently had to remake it. In addition to my order being wrong, I quickly noticed how small the sandwich was (as can be seen in my pic with a FireTV remote next to it) which was disappointing considering the price. Strike 5 - not a great value for the cost Now the critical item, how it tasted. Overall I found the sandwich to be very tasty, the bread was nicely toasted, cheese was not overpowering and the hot peppers was tasty. The sausage could have used more spice, found it to be overly mild compared to what I prefer. The au jus was ok, problem was the container was too small to allow the sandwich to be dunked in so it was essentially useless unless you poured it over the sandwich (which I an not for doing). After my last review, we waited a few eeeks to order from Rosati's again. The pizza as usual was outstanding. I have to conclude that the last sub-par pizza was due to a substitute pizza maker because it's the only time we've been unsatisfied with Rosati's in the last few years. This is the best Chicago style pizza in the Valley and can be found at Scottsdale and Shea.
