I felt welcomed from the moment I entered Barro's Pizza. This is a family-owned pizza parlor and it FEELS like it. I was welcomed with a smile and friendly banter upon entering. The menu is on the wall next to the counter. As I waited to place my order, I saw a couple playing cards over pizza. Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me! I ordered a custom mini pizza (four small slices), a veggie salad (no black olives for me) and a fountain drink. I chose a seat in booth enjoyed next to a window. My salad arrived first. Ordered a pizza & wings from this place last night. Worst of the worst!! The wings, (more like chicken bites, no bone) were absolutely awful! Are one, gave a second on a try, dumped them! We came to Barro's for a fundraiser night to support the PTO at my daughter's school. They obviously underestimated the size of the crowd it would draw, but I do want to recognize that the staff did their best under the circumstances. The pizza was the star of the show, absolutely delicious! Still thinking about it. While it took a while to come out, it was worth the wait. The wings came out pretty quickly, but surprisingly they were cold, almost like they hadn't been left in the fryer long enough. They also forgot the blue cheese, but with how busy it was, I didn't want to bother asking for it. Overall, the food was good and we'll definitely be back. My only suggestion would be to have more staffing for events like this to help keep things running smoothly. read more

A friend recommended this particular Barro's location for pizza. I ordered a thin crust half and half; veggie and cheese w/tomatoes to go. Service was swift and friendly. For our personal tastes, we like a thinner crust. The pizza was good though and we enjoyed it. They have their own parking lot. read more

I love this place!! Our pizzas always come loaded with toppings. We order the Barros special, regular crust. It's never busy although I have observed lots of take out orders. Friendly and helpful employees, clean. So glad to find Chicago style pizza at Barros. They do have thin crust upon request. Order by the slice or a whole pizza. Lots of other menu items too. We order pizza from this location often. This particular order was for a dinner after a celebration of life for a family member, and the pizza was hot, gooey with cheese, and exactly what we ordered. The BBQ Chicken pizza was a group favorite. It's a simple version without any frills or tricky ingredients and we love it! The pepperoni and sausage came with plenty of toppings and the veggie had a variety of vegetables. Barro's ranch is creamy and on the thicker side, so goes well with the slightly heavier pizza. This Barro's location is always efficient with ordering, has decently priced specials, is clean inside the restaurant, and serves consistently good basic pizzas. read more

Having moved to Cave Creek last September, Barro's has become one of our 'go to' take out favorites. The mini and small pizzas allow all to order their specific favorite toppings and choice of thin, crisp or regular dough. If you're a mushroom lover as I am, I recommend asking for extra mushrooms on your pizza as the normal portion doesn't quite satisfy my fix. The 3-meatball side dish is a great deal as an appetizer or side! Juicy, tender large meatballs in a tasty tomato sauce. I avoided this franchise for years thinking it was similar to dominos in quality but I have been proven wrong time and time again. This Barros location is always a 10 outta 10! For frame of reference; We order from this location 2-3 times a month, always order online, ask for the pizzas to be cooked extra well done, and always do pickup. Pizza is always cooked perfect, staff is always working very hard (they are always packed when we come in for pickup), and the pizza never disappoints for that thicker more Chicago than New York style pizza. The number of times each week my wife and I ask each other the age old question, "what do you want to do for dinner?" And I respond with Barros . I win 1/4 of the time and I enjoy every bite. read more

Consistently a 10/10!!!! We love this Barros location. We are in delivery range, but if we weren't, we would absolutely drive to pick up this pizza. We rarely go into dine at the restaurant but have had great customer service when it comes to deliveries and pick up. We love their wings, pizza and salad. Our favorites are the Buffalo chicken pizza and their antipasto salad which is one of the best I've had. Their ranch is fantastic-so make sure you order a few sides of that as well! You are absolutely going to pay more for pizza here than you do at Papa Johns. Well, I will say if you are looking for a good thin crust option to order from the Papa John's in Cave Creek, overall, this spot is the best for original crest pizza and their wings are fantastic! The best wings from a delivery pizza service I've had. Finished a slice even though it was barely finished being cooked... not well done at all but I digress. I got halfway into the next slice and pulled a 10" hair out of my mouth. Disgusting. Threw the rest out. I bring food from here for my kids; won't do that again. Yuck. Rule number one don't put freaking hair in the food.
