If you're looking for awesome pizza and fresh salads, Lamp is the spot! We hadn't been in a long time and recently found ourselves craving pizza, so we decided it was time to go back. We started with the Grapes & Gorgonzola salad, and it was SO good! It has grapes, Gorgonzola, pine nuts, basil, balsamic vinaigrette, and honey. Such a great combination of flavors. The salads are a really good portion size and are perfect for sharing before your pizza arrives, or they're substantial enough to make a meal on their own if you're skipping the pizza. We were in the mood for a white pizza and went with the Wood Roasted Mushrooms. This pizza was delicious! It's topped with roasted mushrooms, garlic, ricotta, and shaved provolone. You can add prosciutto, but we kept ours as is and loved it. All of their pizzas come in one size with six slices, which is perfect for sharing. We skipped the gelato this time and opted for wine instead, but Lamp does have great gelato if you're looking for something sweet to finish your meal. My wife and I were visiting from California and my in-laws suggested this place. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But once inside, it looks like nice. We ordered the Nona pizza with sausage. I was told it was like deep dish pizza. But that wasn't the case. It was thin crust pizza, but cut into squares. I thought it was pretty good. Tip: Skip the wait and just eat at the bar. We wish we would've done that. We read the reviews and understood it could be a long wait. And it was. 1.5 hours. I would never wait that long to eat in normal circumstances, but when I'm on vacation, my tolerance for waiting goes up. You just gotta have the right mindset. We were originally quoted about 45 minutes, so we walked around the mall, but there's really not much to check out so we returned to the restaurant and grabbed a spot at the bar for drinks. Unfortunately, our phone was on silent (our fault) so we missed the "table is ready call" by about 5 minutes. So even though we were physically at the restaurant, our table was given away. We did not hear anyone call out our name at the restaurant either. I don't think we were necessarily put back on the bottom of the list, but it felt like it, as we had to wait another 45 minutes. Waiting aside, we at least enjoyed the meal. The pizzas had a nice crispy bottom and good toppings. We also visited Pizza Bianca this trip, and preferred that. 06/14/2026 Lamp had been on my list ever since the Wizard of Za on Instagram recommended it, but it took so long to try it given the distance. Finally my friend and I went on a Sunday and got there just after they opened at 4pm to ensure we could get a table. The inside is relatively small, so expect a wait at the usual dinner times. Service was great. Pizza was delicious - we got the Gem and Stacy's Mom so we could try one red and one white pizza. Highly recommended adding spicy calabrese salami to Stacy's Mom. My nephew was in town with his frat brothers and they were staying in north Scottsdale. On the way back home to Chandler, I decided to drop in and give this place a try. It was delicious! As usual, I sat at the bar. The bartender was a hoot! Anyway, I ordered The Kicker pizza and I added Sicilian sausage, roasted garlic and red onions. The pizza comes with Calabrian peppers, spicy salami and a side of chili oil! If you don't like it spicy you might wasn't to stay away from the Kicker, because definitely brought some heat! We have been wanting to try this pizza for a while and finally did. It was delicious. The server we had (Kristina) had an attitude from the start. We asked if we could order right away as we were in a hurry and she said she wanted to just get us started with water and any drink orders. It took her at least 10 min to come back for us to place our order. There was a group of 6 of us. She didn't write any of the orders down (this always makes us nervous that the order could be wrong). She went back through the order quickly but some of it wasn't right so we repeated it back and then we asked her to make sure she got the side order as well since she skipped it and she didn't acknowledge her or didn't hear what she said and we asked again and got TOTAL disgust and attitude from her. Our family came by on a Sunday evening for dinner. It was beyond busy as it took us over an hour and a half to finally be seated. Nice and cozy ambiance made for an enjoyable vibe. Waitress promptly brought us menus and gave us good recommendations. Started off with the tomato mozzarella salad, Piumini di Mozz (cheese puffs), and meatballs. The cheese puffs were delicious! Could have just ate these again as an entree somehow. For our pies, we went with OG pepperonis with additional toppings. Pizzas were well done and tasted great. I absolutely loved everything about this place! This was some of the best wood fired pizza I have ever had. Our server, Kristina, is an absolute GEM! The restaurant itself is quaint, not huge which is nice. They have a good share of outside tables as well. There were 5 of us in the party and we ordered 4 pizzas, only my brother-in-law and I split a pizza between us. So when we left, we ended up with the equivalent of 2 full pizza, so we put a good hurt on the 4 that we ordered. I was in the best seat as I could see the work that they were doing in the "kitchen" so to speak. They were a machine, 3 to 4 guys preparing the pizzas and I think the owner, was operating the oven the whole time. They were cranking out the pizza like crazy! I had asked Kristina how many pizzas they put out a day, she said she was told 190 on a typical day, much higher than that I guess on the weekends. Kristina, what can I say about our server. She was the best. When we ordered, no paper, no electronic device, all memory. And I watched her enter the order in the touchscreen computer, and it was amazing. Just blazing fast, and accurate at the same time. She kept checking on us to make sure if we needed anything during our stay. We ordered a white pizza, margarita, one margarita with onion and pepperoni and a Kicker. I only had the Kicker and margarita with the pepperoni and onion, they were so damn good! Of course, the kicker was the spicy one. And I am glad I did not put any crushed red on my first slice because it was just spicy enough. I like my hot food, but this was delicious as it. I do wish they took reservations, but the restaurant is small so they would probably book up pretty far. We were able to wait at the little bar area, which helped pass the time. We started with the cheese puffs, which reminded us of Red Lobster rolls, but more sophisticated. The marinara and ranch were both delicious. The ranch especially stood out because it is unique and very peppery. Both pizzas were good, but I think my favorite was the Stacy's Mom. It has taken me entirely too long to get back to LAMP! This is the BEST pizza in the valley for sure. I was in a group of 3, and we arrived around 5:30 on Saturday evening. We waited about 30 min for a table. There isn't much seating for the waiting area, and a lot of the area businesses were closed, so we walked to Starbucks and waited there. The three of us shared the zucchini cakes (obviously - these are a non-negotiable if you're going to LAMP) and two pizzas. The zucchini cakes are fresh, crispy, and flavorful. I'm obsessed. For the pizzas, we opted for one white and one red. We got the Gem - a red pizza with pepperoni, sausage, ricotta, garlic, and oregano. It was SO good. There's hardly and grease, so no blotting necessary. For our white pizza, we got the Kensington - figs, goat cheese, and arugula. You can add prosciutto, which we did. It was amazing. We hope that this place doesn't get overrun with more customers than it already is! The pizza is that good and the salads are way better than they sound on the menu. We had the red grape, Gorgonzola and pine nut salad - well that name and description makes it sound like it doesn't have many greens because they don't even mention the greens... yet it's mostly greens and that's good (!) and the amount of dressing, grapes, Gorgonzola and pine nuts was just about perfect. It came with two slices of lightly grilled Italian bread with a tiny bit of olive oil on them. It was a really fantastic salad and I would say enough for three maybe four people to share as a starter if you have anything else before pizza. There were three pizzas ordered in our group. * mushroom, it was good but pretty plain, it really it needed more flavor * one of the red 'zas with pepperoni, maybe two kinds one of them - one spicy. That was much more flavorful than the mushroom. * our favorite a white 'za with LAMP sausage, caramelized onion jam and gorgonzola. Totally amazing, full of flavor - definitely the best one on the table by far. We didn't need dessert yet a couple of separate scoops of salted caramel and double chocolate gelato were ordered. The double chocolate was very intense in flavor and firm as one would expect more so with an actual ice cream. The sea salt caramel was soft and almost like very thick sour cream at the most - it was like cream at the edges maybe it sat out too long or maybe it has too much sugar and it doesn't freeze well. It was really sweet and we had to put salt on it in order to balance out the flavors. With that said it was fantastic flavor although still a little too soft a texture for my liking. The gelato were served with a very strongly flavored chewy and very nice almond cookie. Not a crisp almond cookie like they give you a Chinese restaurant - a chewy one that was almost a bright yellow color. Service was outstanding. Luckily we sat in the back in a half circle booth, more elongated than a half circle actually, the only problem with that spot was that it was right across the back door and when the door opens you get really cold or you would get really hot in the summer. Other than that it was nice to have a little buffer from the sound because it was somewhat loud in there, but not too bad. We will definitely return! read more

Lamp victoriously took over as my favorite pizzeria in Arizona... if not ever. I didn't want to admit it because most pizzas seem really good, until I came here. I don't know why I waited so long when my Italian friends have recommended it for so long but who cares? I finally tried it and I'm a Lamp Pizzeria cult follower now. Try the zucchini cakes. They might be infused with crack because you don't want to stop eating them. It's highly suspicious because they have found a way to make eating vegetables so enjoyable. I'm not particularly a fan of olives but I enjoyed these ones. The saltiness is always satisfying. The chunky pesto served with bread was a great appetizer too. As far as pizza goes, the Kensington was by far my favorite. My friend ordered half with prosciutto on it for me and half without. Everything about it was perfection down to the "pizza bone"/crust! My husband and I shared the Gem, which was covered in Lamp Sicilian sausage, pepperoni, ricotta, garlic and oregano. I'm always a sucker for ricotta so of course we ordered this red sauce one. We also ordered the Wood Roasted Mushroom pizza, which included roasted crimini mushrooms, garlic, ricotta, and shaved sharp provolone. We also ordered cooked prosciutto on top of this one to make it heartier and I'm glad we did! For dessert, we shared the Toasted Marshmallow milk shake and ricotta cheesecake. WOW. Service was good..... They were BUSY. Even at 4:30 in the afternoon. I took the yelp reviews advice and ordered the Geppetto. Did not dissappoint! Hands down my favorite pizza flavors ever. Of course this is subjective to your tastes of what you want on a pizza, but it was well made with lots of yummy toppings and the crew worked like a well oiled machine to get it out. So pick your favorite toppings and I can't imagine you won't love it. (You have to at least get one with their house made sausage!!) Lamp pizzeria is hands down one of the best pizza places I have ever been to in the Valley. The food is absolutely amazing and every bite is bursting with flavor. The pizza is cooked to perfection with a crispy crust and delicious toppings that are fresh and flavorful. The pizza is wood fired but doesnt flop down as you tried to eat it, like some Napoletano pizzas. The crust is sturdy and crunchy all the way through, and has a back bone lol. We tried the Margehrita, Stacy's Mom, and the Gepetto. The Gepetto is a white pizza with Gorgonzola, onion marmalade and their made in house sausage, this is one of the best pizzas my taste buds have had the pleasure of tasting. Mind blown!!!!! Not only is the pizza incredible, but the rest of the menu is also outstanding. The zucchini cakes were delicious and unique, the Mike's bread loaf, a whole loaf of fresh focaccia bread, was unbelievable. The atmosphere of the pizzeria is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to gather with friends and family. They have a small outside patio, and the place is not huge. Ordered two pies... one pepperoni with two add on toppings and one regular menu pie. First, the pies are small.. 12" I believe, so for me, I could eat pretty much one by myself, so if you are feeding a family of 4 or 5, plan to spend +$100 easily. Secondly, they only bring the cheese and toppings within about 2 - 3" inches of top of crust so on a 12" pie, only 9 or so inches is actually something other than crust. We were told it would be a 60 minute wait that turned into a two hour wait and apparently there are no managers on duty to give a crap about you. Last night was our second time in! Here's some highlights from both experiences. TLDR; flavor combos are everything, the crust isn't consistent, the hype isn't worth the wait. Our first time in we sat on the patio we showed up a little before 4pm and got seated right away. The servers are friendly however really slow. It took forever to get things. Whether a refill, turn on the patio heater, and so on. There were times we actually had to get up and ask different people to help us out. We studied the menu before hand so that right when the waiter came we were able to order our pizzas right away. We went to Lamp pizzeria and I can honestly say that this is the best pizza restaurant in North Scottsdale! The restaurant is a bit small on the inside, so I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. Otherwise there is a bit of a way, but once you start eating the food, you'll understand why. All of the handmade brick oven pizzas have some of the most unique pizza toppings you will ever see. The Benny pizza with speck (similar to prosciutto) pizza was my personal favorite, but honestly you can't go wrong here. I recommend ordering 1 pizza per person and we were a group of 3 people so we had 3 different pizzas and share amongst each other. Great food .Horrible service!! hence the three stars. I couldn't just give them a one star for the service; I had to compromise and average out their rating. The male server tonight was so dismissive and rude. We asked for a refill on water and diet coke and he looked at us like we had 2 heads. He also questioned my order like you're only getting one pizza and a Coke and that's it? Not sure why he had a problem with it, as we didn't ask him for anything else the whole time other than when the bill came. We had told him to put it on two separate bills, and he brought us one bill. He was completely put out by the fact that we wanted him to change it. He was rude about it.
