I ordered delivery. My office is just across the 101 and delivery time said 20-30 minutes. I called to inquire about the delivery after waiting an hour and 15 minutes. The lady who answered the phone was rude and said they are short drivers. Then they need up update their delivery times to reflect lack of staffing. She made it my issue saying the times are just an estimate. My food finally arrive an hour and a half after I placed my order and it was cold, soggy fries and only half the fries as normal. Unfortunately I came in right as they were closing. It was close to Christmas and I just totally didn't realize it. It's not a crime but I try really hard to not go close to closing time. I want the employees to get out on time, so I get that. I have also worked retail and food service. That being said, they goofed up my order. The whole experience really lol. I tried to explain my order 5 different times. It had been raining so no one was physically outside to take my order at the time. I just wanted the market salad with chicken tenders on top instead of the cold grilled chicken. Eventually a manager got on the mic and sounded like she cleared things up. She didn't. When I pulled up there was a pretty young kid working and I hate saying this but it was the most "un-Chic-Fil-A" interaction I've ever had. Staff were pleasant and gave me an item to put on the table. He also asked if I wanted sauce to go with the chicken. I don't frequent this place often enough to know so asked what he suggested. He said ranch dressing. Ok I was agreeable. I waited about 5 minutes and a staff member drops a huge bag at my table and a soft drink. Nope, wrong order. A few more minutes pass and my order is delivered by a friendly staff person. I disposed of the bun and opened the sauces; original and ranch, I sliced up the chicken trying both sauces. So I order on the app and scan the table as instructed, 20 minutes pass and no order has arrived. I went up to the counter and asked the "manager" if I could get my money back as I had to return to work, she proceeded to look flustered, pokes at my phone and explained that I would have to follow the directions in the app to get my money back. I had a CB frosted lemonade. The order taker told me it was like a sweetart. It was good, but you could barely taste the cherry and you could barely taste the lemon. We are avid Chick-Fil-A lovers overall, good food and usually good service with attention to special orders, especially for my wife's gluten allergy. Not so much the case with this location. It's the closest to us which makes it convenient, but at least half the time we've gone, something in our order is botched, and the staff seem too lax to care. I see that there are a lot of teenagers working here being like a first job and all so understandably there's a lot of learning. However, when it comes to orders sensitive to gluten allergies being botched is something I raise hell about (gluten contamination can be no joke) and the fact that one time we asked for it to be fixed and it came out completely opposite of what we asked...we gave up as it doesn't seem after that and past experiences this Chick-fil-A does not seem to care about accuracy of orders. So it has been eight years now and over one hundred visits later, it's time for a refresh. Chick-fil-a makes some really good chicken, that happen to be waaaaay too salty. Even their grill offerings have too much sodium. Mind you, I'm not not on any diet. It's just that I have never salted any of my foods. Which is why I come here mostly to pick up for our extended family these days who've dropped in. LOL My frustration with Chick-fil-a can be found in my favorite sandwich, their Spicy Chicken. As Eater has noted: "This rust-colored patty infused with spicy peppers has enough sodium (1,650 milligrams) to turn your bathtub into the Dead Sea." Sadly, that's an understatement.
