This place is such a joke. I feel like it's the loser boyfriend I keep taking back thinking he's changed this time. I get that they are short staffed, but now they never seem to ever have any actual food. Today they were out of chicken, guacamole, & cheese. However, there was cheese on the online ordering side, but was told that cheese has to be saved for online orders only. You have customers right in front of you, but you're saving cheese for "potential orders"? Something seems off there. Poor management in ordering & keeping this place clean. Employees are slow and spend more time talking to each other and on their phones joking around instead of working. Food edible, whenever you manage to get it after 30 minute wait. My 16-year old daughter went to the Brighton, MI location on Saturday for dinner for her and her two brothers. She got to the check out and realized she forgot to order a quesadilla for her brother, so she asked for one and the person at the register added it to her bill, but told her she had to go back to order it. My daughter paid for 3 items, then went back to ask for the quesadilla and the person making the food said that you can only order them via mobile order. So my daughter then proceeded to the checkout to get a refund and was told, "it doesn't work that way" and they would not refund her money. This is the last time we will visit this location. I have never had anything good happen here. Always out of ingredients, and now this. Goodbye Chipotle! I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Honestly this place is awful. I waited 15 minutes behind one person in line and come to find out they didn't have white rice or chicken. In general it looked unclean and there were at least 3 employees standing around the back doing nothing while one (obviously new) kid was making everyone's food. Please close this location. Maybe, just maybe, the Brighton Chipotle is making a GNR-style revival for the burrito chain. It's a million times better than the experiences I've had at the Chipotles in Metro Detroit over the last two years, that's for sure. I'm looking at you, Orchard Lake, Royal Oak, and Ferndale. The employees were very polite, the restaurant was clean and well-staffed, and the portions were huge. It wasn't quite a five-star experience because the food was a bit salty and not up to standards from years ago, but it's SO much better than what I've experienced lately. Yeah, the store is running 40 minutes BEHIND for each order. Which is after the normal time you have to wait for them to make it. Spending my money elsewhere. When you can order inside they are constantly running out of prepped food, oh you want rice, yeah that's a 15-minute wait, seriously who is in charge. This has happened more than once to my family. Let's assume the staff has their collective selves working as they should, now you have to deal with inconsistent portion size - too small - and simple mistakes. Folks when you don't pull the chips from the fryer and they are dark toss them, they are bitter and ruined, and do not serve them to customers. Worst experience of my life. Of course you have to order online only, which is normal for this location. I was by myself and asked for a water cup, sat down, and began to eat as I looked at my emails. I was over half way finished with my meal. Manager Juan came over and was upset, telling me there was "No dine in" and it was posted on the ign, on the door. I told him it was not in the sign and he treated me like I was stupid. I ended up showing him the sign, which only said online ordering only, and he became upset and told me, "F--k You". It became heated and I left. I have never had a less than pleasant experience at ANY chipotle location other than the one in Brighton . I've probably been to twenty plus locations across several states and this is the only one where the staff has been unprofessional or rude to me. All three times I have been they have been out of several core dishes, they refused to give me cilantro with my food (while I can see a HEAPING mound of it behind the counter being used to cook with) and I could hear the staff members complaining about management. I'm pretty patient too but it took about 40 minutes for my party of three to get our food when the store wasn't particularly busy. To start, absolutely horrible. I have been to chipotle a total of two times now and have been disappointed both times. It always seems as if they are judging what I'm getting. When I was there on 10/7/23 they were out of almost everything and did not refill until right after my order. They were even out of chips, and no one seemed to be nice enough to apologize. The lady at the register did not ask if I wanted a drink-good thing I didn't- and made me list off everything in the bowl, very inconvenient. They also seemed very unorganized and didn't seem to be on the same page about anything that they had. Luckily they covered my friends food for her because she waited 15 minutes for the carne asada Just disappointed overall, there is a gdoba 0.3 miles away and I have always gotten amazing service and food from there. Well, for the last 3 trips I have made up to this area doing therapy for my specials needs son (fav is guac no lie) the last year I have had worse and worse exp with this place. Last trip the gave my lady a bowl with I think 4 pieces of lettuce on her salad. (then was rude about it). This trip my online order was said to be ready at 7:10- I was still standing there at 7:41- guy finally yells my name and walked to door and then was like check bag, yep - no guac- walk back n he says ill give ya some queso. Got home and my lady called to ask why I didnt get even notice no guac when walked out, but why no offer money back (u know that stuff isnt cheap) and let me tell you the manager "Mika Micka" wouldn't answer phone and handed it to a employee- she had to tell the employee to please give phone to manager. He says - well, go call this number, I cant help ya. WTH..? so here I am writing this and guess what, I emptied the bag and then realized- they forgot my sons bowl- the entire flipping bowl. I used to think all chipotle restaurants were the same. I was wrong. I come to this chipotle regularly for lunch given the proximity to my work. I used to go in and order in person pre-COVID, but in the last year I started using the APP to pre order. My food is ALWAYS fresh and ready on time. I didn't realize how good I had it until I tried a different location and my app order was 20 minutes late, chicken over cooked, and overall just very bad tasting.
