I heard about this little quick serve taco place. Another customer recommended the fajita quesadilla. I don't know if the counter guy put in the wrong meat or the cooks did it, but they gave me steak instead of chicken. I'm not really a steak person, but I didn't want to go back so I ate it. Great flavor. The meat was pretty fatty. This place is casual. The staff are very friendly. Everything is made fresh. I'm assuming the prep work is already done and they heat the meat on the grill. Defenitely good food and I'll go back. I'm taking it easy because they are busy and only open for their 2nd day.

Food was hot and fresh, so much flavor. The salsa verde was thick not runny like most places. I walked back in to tip them extra after I ate in my car. I am a taco expert, I almost skipped out on this place due to the reviews. I've lived in Texas where the barbacoa is cooked underground for 8-12 hours. I know real tacos and I have to say for the area these are the best in the area hands down. I would even choose this place over 3/4 of the places in southwest Detroit and even name them comparable to Texas vendors. One of the comments I seen stated fatty prices, if you ordered carnitas it's part of the meat, and most people love it. I did have one large fatty chunk but I picked it apart and there was lots of meat in it and it made the taco even more succulent. When I head north I will 100% go out of my way for their tacos. The rice was just average nothing to brag about the beans were good flavor but nothing I would rave about but better than average. My brother ordered birria tacos and he didn't talk the entire time he ate and that says a lot, although we would have enjoyed a more rich consome it was still good. The guys in there were smiling and kind. The place was clean.

Nice new taco spot in Brighton. Tasty tacos and burritos. My wife had the Fajita Burrito and I had the Quesabirria. Both were very and served fresh. We also had chips and some tasty salsa. Next time we will try the Happy Fries and probably some Pastor tacos. Definitely a new place we are glad to have and service was very quick and friendly for a counter service eatery. We will be back!

It has character that adds to the experience. We had a fairly large group, we were seated upstairs where it is bright and more spacious than expected. The service was excellent! Very attentive and the food arrived quickly and accurately. The group ordered mostly the carne asada and the Al pastor tacos. It arrives mostly on the same tray and each person grabs their tacos. They were all Presented nicely with tasty toppings. Another person ordered the quesadilla and another ordered a rice bowl, I ordered the wet burrito. It was very big and was filled with a good amount of chicken and lots of rice, topped with queso. We ordered the chips and salsa and the chips and trio, this includes salsa, queso and guacamole. We requested the hot salsa as well. We enjoyed everything! We left full and satisfied. I would certainly eat here again. Great flavors! Quick side note, the prices are on the high side, chips and salsa are not complimentary and each item is ala cart. A side of rice and each salsa, jalapeños etc. gets pricey and when it's added to the tacos priced individually, the bill climbs quickly. Just something to take into consideration when planning an outing.

I asked what was up and the lady came over to explain I was incorrect and "Quesa" just means it has cheese on it and they actually did bring me the right order. She said if I spoke Spanish or if we were in Mexico it would make sense. I've probably ordered thousands of quesadillas for me and my kids in my years. Another lady came out and said let's just remake it but by then I was so completely proven wrong since I don't speak Spanish that I just kept the order. I didn't want to waste the food either. Pro Tip: If you want to order the quesadilla version you have to say "Barrira quesadillas" because ordering it under the quesadillas section will just get you tacos. "Barrira quesadillas" also wasn't listed on the menu but they make it. Maybe last couple times they asked what version I wanted... or it was on a specials board...idk. I suggested they move the combo under the taco section but I guess that wont make sense in Spanish since none of their taco have cheese but combo does?? This place is definitely a 5 star restaurant when the owner is there. This was the first time there when he wasnt.

He barely ate any of it and without us asking, our waiter kindly removed it from our bill. My husband said it was very plain and very bland beef and the cheese sauce on top tasted canned. It was also a small chimichanga, with the plate being mostly taken up by the rice, beans, and salad that came as a side. When we got there we weren't really greeted either so it started off without great customer service. It also was not busy at all but we almost left before even ordering because nobody came by to take our order for a substantial amount of time. Eventually he did come and take our order and the food came out really quickly so that was nice. My food was great- I ordered option D off the vegetarian menu which included a bean burrito, cheese quesadilla, and chalupa. I cleaned my plate! It was flavorful and a really generous portion. I also liked the chips and salsa that they serve when you're seated. Overall we won't be back.

AWESOME ! Service over and above what might normally be expected!…read more On April 20 while visiting daughter and grandkids in Brighton, my husband and I wanted to take everyone (daughter, boyfriend, grandson, grandson's girlfriend, granddaughter) out for a nice dinner. We were a little hesitant about finding a restaurant as grandson just started going through the process of determining food sensitivities. My daughter called ahead to check about gluten-free options on the menu as the list of what he can and cannot eat is very limiting at this time and he is still figuring things out which can be rough for a high school senior. We were seated promptly in the front window area and Shannon S. was our server. Now I don't know if Shannon was told to expect us, but she hit the ball out of the proverbial park. Not only did she suggest side options for grandson, but when questions about ingredients were asked that she couldn't answer she went to the kitchen to presumably ask chef--but she came back to the table with answers AND a binder containing all the ingredients for each menu item (no, sorry that has garlic as a seasoning; no sorry that has a sauce with onions; no sorry that has cheese). In the end, grandson was able to choose with confidence side dishes in place of the standard menu options so that his meal wouldn't mess with his digestive system--he became more of an active participant in deciding his dinner--and that his meal was one he really, really, really enjoyed. He was surprised that a restaurant would go to those lengths to help a customer. Brighton Bar and Grill was a favorite spot when husband and I lived in Howell years ago and will definitely come back to the high service and quality food we experienced on this visit.
