I don't know if it was the manager who was being rude to customers and employees, she looked a little on the younger side and was yelling at Naveya to switch with someone else when it was already super busy... no need to switch spots with another person on the line. The guy at the register must have been brand new because he didn't know how to use the register. I had a free drink on my app and they said I couldn't do the buy one get one and the free drink. So I had to purchase something else just to get my free drink. My boyfriend wont eat here again because he was on the toilet the whole next day. I love chipotle, and even with the overall cost of eating out increasing, I've remained loyal to this location, even after negative experiences repeatedly happening like many of the prior reviewers have stated. Tonight was a final straw moment for me; the employee at the front of the line told me that other than fajita veggies and chicken al pastor, they had every item in stock (as locals know, this is rare for the Boone location to not be out of at least 1-3 items regularly). After building my bowl and getting to the end of the line I asked for chips and a side of guac, at which point the employee building my bowl was informed by a coworker that they had no tortilla chips (didn't address me or apologize in any form). The chips and guacamole are one of the most pleasant experiences about a chipotle restaurant, so I was disappointed that the employee building my bowl did not even make the effort to ensure they had the ingredient or try to make it right. They also didn't address this fact other than asking me "so, do you still want your side of guacamole?" Don't waste your time going to this location, you'd be better off, driving to the next nearest one which is 40+ miles away, where they can manage to keep simple items like chicken, guacamole, and peppers in stock (not to mention the Boone location is next to a Walmart). If the franchise owner has any pride or human dignity left in their sorry sack of bones, they would to keep standards up. I think this location needs a serious evaluation and the owner should be ashamed that they would dare call this a "restaurant", as nothing here resembles customer service or even basic human kindness. The WORST Chipotle I have been to... they literally sprinkled rice and beans and dumped hot sauce and Sour cream... it was not even 1/4 of portions we normally get... I came to chipotle tonight July/30/2025 and have been coming here for a few years now as I've lived in Boone. I have never once had a good experience with this place past 7pm. I'd like to start by saying the food is definitely good no problems there. The problem lies with the workers and their attitudes. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with eye rolls and mad faces. Who in their right mind as a business owner lets their workers close an hour and a half early? therefore cutting off options to people that would profit the store... I was going to order a quesadilla but the machine had already been cleaned by 8:30?! I've cleaned these machines before and it does not take that long. After I had sat waiting for a few minutes for someone to care I had been there, I told them what I wanted and my bowl just got pushed to the end and then I waited again to be checked out. Thank god that the utensils were actually stocked this time because every other time it wasn't. I understand wanting to close early I really do but an hour and a half is entirely way too soon. I don't know if this place is in need of new management or less grumpy app state kids but something is not right. Seriously this is not a hard job all you have to do it throw some meat on a grill. Put food in a bowl etc.and stock things??? (Kitchen/dish staff not included) you signed up for it so do it right. who knows maybe next time you'll have more than a few dollars and some change in your tip jar. read more

Some of the staff that work here are total assholes. I ordered my food online. Picked it up and brought it home to find out that they put no chicken on my $12.00 bowl. I drove back to this location to get ignored while I waited for them to acknowledge me with my incomplete order. When I spoke up to tell them to that they didn't put chicken on my bowl, the girl didn't ask me what type of chicken It was. She rolled her eyes scooped a random portion of chicken into a Togo bowl gave it to me with the lid half off and then went back to ignoring me. They need to stop ripping people off and stop treating their customers like we are a damn burden. My staff and I won't be ordering from here anymore because this is how they have treated us multiple times after they made a mistake while making our order. I wonder if they have paid off the health inspector because this place is consistently gross. the ingredients are all over the place, half of the corn is in the sour cream at all times, lettuce is in the other salsa containers and on the ground. This location always struggles with a lot of things. They are always out of something or get an order wrong. We stopped going but occasionally we break down and try again hoping for the best. A shame. Good luck trying to call if you have an issue. The automated system is a heck of a gatekeeper and no matter what you say (when prompted) it says "I need more information". You WILL NOT get through on the phone. Tonight's meal (also with some missing ingredients) included cold cheese dip, the smallest "large" bag of chips I've ever seen (barely filled 1/4 of the way) and an $8.50 cheese quesadilla, with almost no cheese, and completely burnt. Had to make an alternative meal for a 2 year old after all - when the whole idea of crossing fingers and hoping for the best with Chipotle tonight was to take a night off from cooking. Don't want to answer the phone? Don't blame you. Guess you would get a lot of complaints. That's fine.
