I love chipotle, and even with the overall cost of eating out increasing, I've remained loyal to this location, even after negative experiences repeatedly happening like many of the prior reviewers have stated. Tonight was a final straw moment for me; the employee at the front of the line told me that other than fajita veggies and chicken al pastor, they had every item in stock (as locals know, this is rare for the Boone location to not be out of at least 1-3 items regularly). After building my bowl and getting to the end of the line I asked for chips and a side of guac, at which point the employee building my bowl was informed by a coworker that they had no tortilla chips (didn't address me or apologize in any form). The chips and guacamole are one of the most pleasant experiences about a chipotle restaurant, so I was disappointed that the employee building my bowl did not even make the effort to ensure they had the ingredient or try to make it right. They also didn't address this fact other than asking me "so, do you still want your side of guacamole?" Don't waste your time going to this location, you'd be better off, driving to the next nearest one which is 40+ miles away, where they can manage to keep simple items like chicken, guacamole, and peppers in stock (not to mention the Boone location is next to a Walmart). If the franchise owner has any pride or human dignity left in their sorry sack of bones, they would to keep standards up. I think this location needs a serious evaluation and the owner should be ashamed that they would dare call this a "restaurant", as nothing here resembles customer service or even basic human kindness. Do better Chipotle franchise management. read more

Pretty standard Chipotle spot! Decent portion size even though we got takeout. Also got to try the chipotle honey chicken, which is limited time only & pretty good. Overall, tasty & filling bowl. Can't comment on ambiance & service. 7.5/10 would recommend! read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - Build Your Own Burrito Bowl - Mexican Near Me - Boone, North Carolina

The service was terrible. They were so busy filling online orders that the neglected the in store customers. We weren't acknowledged. The whole place was filthy. All of the tables, floors trash cans overflowing. The food prep area was a mess. Food was everywhere. The countertops were covered in dried on food. It was literally everywhere. We couldn't find one clean table to sit at. Queso was running down the sides of the counter at the register. I talked to the manager about how dissatisfied i was with everything. Her excuse was the guys were very busy filling online orders. We go to Moe's and its always clean and they greet you. I'll never go back to a Chipotle anywhere. read more

Place is the most dirty chipotle I have ever eaten in, and when I said it to the attendant she went out cleaning and would throw all the food from the tables all over the floor. Food was also nasty and I was not even able to finish it. Place is nasty read more

This is absolutely insane! This place needs to get shut down immediately. I should not have to pay for this. No peppers no rice I don't care how busy you are do the stupid job. Shouldn't be able to see the bottom of the bowl read more

Went at 1:45pm aug 21st. Had a bad experience with a female employee was extremely rude to me for no reason. Had brown hair, bun pulled back and a sour looking face. All I asked for was a side of chicken and she said "that's not how that works" I used to work at a chipotle from another town and we emphasis on treating our guest with care and kindness everytime, guess it's not the same here. read more

Came to chipotle with my wife and my kid. We came to them with nothing but respect but the cashier who was working was rude and NOT. POLITE. she needs to get her lashing. If she my was my younin' I would beat her butt. Do. not. be rude to my beautiful child and precious wife. Today was our 13 years together and she (black hair up in a braid) was from attitude central. Chipotle..... train your customers better ! JUST RUDE !! But the girl who built our bowl is holding chipotle together. Cashier threw our food at us on the counter. I don't play about my wife or kid. Terrible cashier. read more

I wish there was a way I could give negative 4 stars. Maybe the worst chipotle Ive ever been to and I've been in some bad ones! We went at 7PM and they were out of half of the things on the line with no plans of replenishing with completely apathetic attitudes. They were even out of ice. Management needs a serious evaluation of their process. read more

We came here for the buy one get one free the day before Thanksgiving. The girl Naveya who helped us first was awesome, great personality, fun, personable. I don't know if it was the manager who was being rude to customers and employees, she looked a little on the younger side and was yelling at Naveya to switch with someone else when it was already super busy... no need to switch spots with another person on the line. The guy at the register must have been brand new because he didn't know how to use the register. I had a free drink on my app and they said I couldn't do the buy one get one and the free drink. So I had to purchase something else just to get my free drink. My boyfriend wont eat here again because he was on the toilet the whole next day. The line itself, majority of the meats were either bare bones almost empty or empty. They had plenty of employees so you would think they would be preared, but guess not. read more

I paid $13.50 for a burrito that was half rice, barely any meat, and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The guac was an extra $3, and somehow managed to taste both bland and bitter. Absolute waste of money. To make it worse, the staff acted like I was bothering them just by ordering. No greeting, no eye contact, just attitude. When I asked politely if I could get more meat (which they barely added), the person behind the counter rolled their eyes and mumbled something under their breath. Overpriced, underwhelming, and served with a side of rudeness. Never again. read more

The WORST Chipotle I have been to... they literally sprinkled rice and beans and dumped hot sauce and Sour cream... it was not even 1/4 of portions we normally get... I got a chicken bowl and asked to put chicken on side instead they charged me separately for chicken and added a veggie bowl... so I had to pay $3.80 extra... Staff were very rude and angry... Just want to say Chris deserves a raise and a 5 stars. If it weren't for him I'd be leaving a 1 star. His employees are absolutely horrible and clearly hate working there. I mean they throw your tortillas across the counter and grab everything with their hands and give you attitude when you ask for food. I'm talking about the young buff looking guy working the first round at 12:20pm on April 11th. You need to find another job my man cause your service is worse than terrible. After getting quite annoyed with the process I got up to Chris to pay and he completely turned the experience around. He was joyful understood his employees suck and apologized and assured me to come find him so he can take my order. Now that's what it should be like and you best believe if I opened a store I'm coming back to take Chris away from y'all. Cause he deserves better employees. read more

So seriously the last time I went to a Chipotle was like 20 years ago in Ohio. Some coworkers and I were in town for work last week and chose this place due to convenience. Man! It was insanely good! Nothing I ordered in my burrito. Do not order here. My burrito has maybe some chicken, tons of rice and cheese. That was all

I'm not usually one to drop a food review, but Boone Chipotle's $15 micro burrito has got me making an exception. This masterpiece of culinary minimalism has redefined my understanding of size, satisfaction, and hunger itself. Chipotle's novel creation did not only challenge my appetite, but also taught me a very valuable lesson: size doesn't matter. Thank you Chipotle, for teaching us all, from the heart of Boone to the farthest corners of the globe, that greatness isn't measured in size, but rather the boldness of one's vision. #dobetter read more

Literally the worst chipotle I have ever been too. Place a mobile order and ended up waiting almost 20 minutes past my pickup time. Every single order was wrong and the employee was extremely rude when asking for my name. She also stuck her finger in one of our bowls to see what kinda of meat it was (even though she made it 2 seconds ago) It literally was like they threw together whatever they wanted in a bowl and gave it to me. Not super satisfied. read more

The staff is brain dead and extremely lazy. They always run out of good. This is the worst chipotle we've experienced.

All the previous reviews are correct. Don't go to this Chipotle! Signs up everywhere- no ice! How do you not have ice? Dirty tables, like all of them (even the ones no one was currently sitting at which left nowhere to sit except tables with people or dirty tables). I asked for salt, like I always do at Chipotle, since they don't have it on the table, and typically we are given a small plastic side bowl of salt, however, this Chipotle said they don't offer salt. No salt??!?!?!! The music was absolutely horrendous. It was like some arcade game that was stuck on repeat over and over and over and over and over again, it wasn't even recognizable. It was just LOUD sounds like an arcade game would make. Staff marginally friendly. This Chipotle needs lots of work! read more

All the negative reviews are accurate. It is truly baffling how often they are out of so many ingredients. Why even open if you don't have rice or chicken or lettuce or queso? Like, that's the entire bowl! read more

The only chipotle I've ever been to that is consistently is out of vegetables, rice, proteins on a daily basis. If they are not out of the chicken, it's probably burnt to oblivion so I hope you like the taste of charcoal. Majority of the time the counters are littered with spilled food, maybe this is why my bowl has portions that wouldn't fill a toddler. Bottom line is they need to stop picking the most brain dead students from the college to run their establishment. read more

Some of the staff that work here are total assholes. I ordered my food online. Picked it up and brought it home to find out that they put no chicken on my $12.00 bowl. I drove back to this location to get ignored while I waited for them to acknowledge me with my incomplete order. When I spoke up to tell them to that they didn't put chicken on my bowl, the girl didn't ask me what type of chicken It was. She rolled her eyes scooped a random portion of chicken into a Togo bowl gave it to me with the lid half off and then went back to ignoring me. They need to stop ripping people off and stop treating their customers like we are a damn burden. My staff and I won't be ordering from here anymore because this is how they have treated us multiple times after they made a mistake while making our order. Mexican Rock and Los Arcos will at least be respectful. read more

This place needs to get its shit together. Workers don't care about anything and they are literally always out of stuff.

DO NOT GO HERE, GO TO TACO BELL OR AN AUTHENTIC RESTAURANT. I've never seen someone mess up my orders this bad it's not hard. Back to back times I went I'm missing items and the food is not fresh. Preppy white blonde girls should not be making burritos. read more

I came to chipotle tonight July/30/2025 and have been coming here for a few years now as I've lived in Boone. I have never once had a good experience with this place past 7pm. I'd like to start by saying the food is definitely good no problems there. The problem lies with the workers and their attitudes. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with eye rolls and mad faces. Who in their right mind as a business owner lets their workers close an hour and a half early? therefore cutting off options to people that would profit the store... I was going to order a quesadilla but the machine had already been cleaned by 8:30?! I've cleaned these machines before and it does not take that long. After I had sat waiting for a few minutes for someone to care I had been there, I told them what I wanted and my bowl just got pushed to the end and then I waited again to be checked out. Thank god that the utensils were actually stocked this time because every other time it wasn't. I understand wanting to close early I really do but an hour and a half is entirely way too soon. I don't know if this place is in need of new management or less grumpy app state kids but something is not right. Seriously this is not a hard job all you have to do it throw some meat on a grill. Put food in a bowl etc.and stock things??? (Kitchen/dish staff not included) you signed up for it so do it right. who knows maybe next time you'll have more than a few dollars and some change in your tip jar. read more

Chipotle ran by incompetent people. Ordered a quesadilla from here countless times and maybe 1/20 times does it come out right. I don't see how a chicken and cheese kids quesadilla can be so hard to make. Todays edition: no cheese, nor chicken. Tortilla quesadilla!! Check your orders before you leave because I guarantee something will be screwed up if you order online. I've gone through the line and ordered them and had to ask them to re melt the cheese multiple times as well, I sit down to check it and it looks like someone put a handful of cheese and sat on it. read more

Chipotle staff- we need to figure this out guys. As a regular at this location I always walk into this place holding onto hope and feeling exuberant for what is yet to come. But I always leave with hurt in my heart. The 9 cubes of pico and the 12 and 1/2 grains of corn on my bowl tonight weren't cutting it. After I down a bowl from this place I expect to be on the toilet hard at work within 30-45 minutes. But these portions aren't getting the job done. And the reoccurring out of ingredients list is a pain I can bear no longer. can you just slap some more fajita veggies on the grill? Maybe increase the cheese imports? Give the pico preparer some performance enhancers? Matter of fact just put the whole staff on performance enhancers. There needs to be some deeper discussions occurring at the staff meetings. in the nicest way possible, this place is a dump. I wonder if they have paid off the health inspector because this place is consistently gross. the ingredients are all over the place, half of the corn is in the sour cream at all times, lettuce is in the other salsa containers and on the ground. I understand working in food service isn't fun and that these are mostly college kids but these employees do not give AF, have been rude/careless multiple times. They prioritize delivery over the in-person customers. The rice rarely tastes fresh anymore. It sucks because there's almost no where to eat in Boone and i've always loved chipotle but this specific location makes me excited to go home (other chipotle locations). read more

I work in the food industry myself and when i went in to chipotle to get queso the guy poured the queso to the point where it was all over the sides of it and it wasn't wiped off when handed to me.
