This was so well made. Falls apart, chocolatey, rich, but not too sweet. Would absolutely get again!

Thank you Chip City for your teacher appreciation offer this week! I enjoyed the lava and Italian rainbow cookies.

Delicious, ooey, gooey cookies! From chocolate chip to oatmeal, oat milk to regular milk. This place has the perfect spot for your cookie (and milk) craving. Best part? Vegan cookie has entered the room and it's absolutely chunky, soft, thick and crisp! Dunks absolutely well with their plant based oat milk. YUM. YUM. YUM. They're made fresh, perfect and found in many locations. So if you're craving it, you can get your fix whenever you'd like. Only thing I wish is that they sold smaller "milk" sizes. Other than that, cookies are PERF.

First off is smells so amazing at the door where the workers greet you immediately saying hello which I love. The cookies are $5.50 each or you can do a special where you can buy 3 get one free or buy 5 and get one free. I did the five and got six. My favorite one was the cookies and cream. And my second was the biscoff one. I also had the s'mores, triple chocolate and confetti. But there huge cookies so my family and I shared them all so we can try all the flavors they had. Not everything that had on the website was in the store.

Had a great experience at this location, on a cold rainy day stopped in for a warm gooey chocolate chip cookie and they delivered! Got the triple chocolate, chocolate chip and the cookie butter. All were fantastic! Warm and soft inside with a crisp on the outside! Service was nice ! While they are pricey these cookies are huge!

I was visiting NYC for the first time and I did an extensive search for the best cookie in the city. I came across plenty of options, Chip city being repetitive suggestion amongst the others. They have plenty of locations but I visited here since it was more accessible. This place can get crowded but lucky for me, I did not find any crowd. As I entered the shop I was greeted by the smell of freshly baked cookies, so irresistible! The staff was very sweet and polite! What I personally like about Chip City over its other famous competitors is the diverse flavors that they offer. They also have unique flavors exclusively for a month. I ordered for the classic chocolate chip cookies and brookies. Both the cookies were large and thick. The edges were crisp and slightly caramelized and the center was thick, dense, cakey, gooey, extremely decadent and I could go on and on . They were slightly warm, moderately sweet with a hint of salt. Chocolate chip cookie had generous chips while the brookie was dark, very chocolatey and delicious goodness. I couldn't choose one over the other. These were hands down, the best cookie of my life! I wish they were available in my city, I'd perhaps try all their flavors. They are a must try. They also have vegan cookies available which although I did not touch, looked quite great and promising! Chip city, all in all is A-mazing.

We recently conducted an extremely scientific* taste test comparison of several distinguished cookie establishments on the UWS to determine the source of the best chocolate chip cookie (CCC). We happened to try a lot of non-chocolate chip cookies alongside the said subjects of study, as well, but for the purposes of this report, we discuss only the findings of our CCC study. *Purely in the interests of science. The carefully curated subjects of study (as determined by our 12-year old) were Chip City, Levain, Crumbl and Insomnia. I know folks have wildly different preferences when it comes to CCCs. By our metric, however, the best ones are soft, even gooey on the inside (e.g. ideally warm with melty chocolate), with a slightly crisp crust on the outside. They are redolent with butter and not overly sweet. When it comes to sweetness, all of the ones we tried were wonderfully decadent and comprised of as much chocolate as dough, but cloying after more than two bites. We found them doable when cut into little slivers and shared as a family, alongside tall glasses of milk. That is how we managed to sample 10-12 mostly enormous, burger-sized cookies over the course of several days. (Oh the sacrifices we make for science....) I would personally love a version that included only dark or semi-dark chocolate chips and less sugar in the dough. Sweetness aside, all of our subjects were deliciously buttery, though Insomnia had a less pronounced scent of butter, I think. (This is something we'll need to test again since we may need to correct for stuffy noses.) The establishments that served a warm cookie had a clear advantage in terms of texture and scent / clarity of flavors. I don't know if it was luck of the draw or whether these establishments just bake batches more frequently than their competition, but Chip City and Insomnia served us gloriously warm cookies straight out of the oven. Levain and Crumbl did not. (I've really, REALLY enjoyed warm Levain cookies out of the oven in the past at the newer location in the upper 70s, where the baking is done.) Chip City's cookies were roughly 4 inches in diameter and about an inch thick. They were very gooey on the inside, without much crust, actually a touch underbaked and somewhat structurally unstable when compared to other contenders. The staff person (probably very tired) who got our cookies for us carelessly and roughly threw them into a paper sleeve, causing the cookies to break into pieces even before we'd left the store. It's a lot less environmentally friendly, but if you want to gift these, you may want to get a box. Or if you're really awesome, bring your own reusable container! More on the other cookies later, but on a good day when you happen upon Levain's cookies warm, the gooey innards + crisp crust are still top in the class. When you get a cold Levain cookie that's been in the case for hours (e.g. on our most recent visit to the original 74th St. location around 6 p.m.), Chip City's cookies have a slight edge, even underbaked. Our current rankings: - Levain / Chip City - Insomnia - Crumbl Obviously iterated testing is required. For science.

This is a good cookie option in Upper West Side. It seems all of the cookies are made on-site, which is worth mentioning. The cookies are large and reasonably priced for the going rate for mid-tier cookies nowadays. The cookies were warm, soft, and had a very good ratio of chocolate to cookie. One thing to note is some of the cookies on their menu are not available 7 days a week. I recommend calling ahead to verify if your flavor is available prior to visiting. On this day I arrived at opening, which is 11am, hoping to select from the entire menu only to be informed they were not preparing any Cookies n' Cream cookies. I'll try them again when in the area.

Chip city has become a need in my life!!!!! We have to come by at least once a month after trying it for first time, to get to try the new flavors they bring out to the market. Their cookies are THE BEST and love the variety and nee creations. So far, I have tried so many flavors: horchata, hot honey cornbread, cookies&cream, brookie, frootie crunch, lemon poppyseed, apple something, chocolate chip, triple chocolate, wild berry strudel, confetti, blueberry cheesecake, oatmeal pie, whit chocolate macadamia, nutella seasalt, res velvet cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate raspberry cheesecake, strawberries & cream, and my ultimate FAVORITE cookie butter with biscoff... My list is so long and I think I'm missing, but that means I DO LOVE Chip City cookies and they always ALWAYS leave me coming back for more and wanting to try more flavors when they come out. 100000% recommended!!

Everything was delicious, but what really got me wanting to write this review is the triple chocolate chip crookie (their croissant and cookie mashup). Wow, the croissant itself, like not considering the chocolate cookie part, was so amazingly flaky with a nice crisp on the outside and buttery softness on the inside. Now adding the triple chocolate to the bite, it tasted like what many regular chocolate croissants aspire to be but aren't. It was also warm when I got it, which rly enhanced the experience. I also got the Mikes hot honey cornbread cookie, blueberry eggo waffle cookie, and dark chocolate peanut butter. The cornbread was good but kinda underwhelming in the sense that it literally just tasted like good but regular cornbread. I thought it'd taste like a cookiefied version of cornbread but it's just more compact cornbread. The blueberry eggo waffle one was also a nice try, it's on the sweeter side and a lot softer and moister in texture than the other ones. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the dark chocolate peanut butter one because I felt like it's a basic flavor combo, but i enjoyed that it wasnt too sweet and had such a nice crispy exterior that contrasted w the moister inside. Went again so I'm adding to my review draft from last time: I got the mint cookies n cream, banana cream pie, and peach cobbler cookies. All the cookies were warm, which I'm genuinely confused by because they don't heat em up before giving it to you so idk how they're staying warm as if they're still cooling down from being taken out the oven but I'm here for it. This the third time I've come and every single time I received em warm. I came for the mint and spontaneously decided to get the other, and so I was surprised by how much I loved the banana cream pie. It reminded me of magnolias banana pudding in flavor and had such a good balance of sweetness. The crisp to the cookie was also so satisfying alongside the contrast of the gooey center. The peach crumble was also delicious. The oatmeal cookie itself was very flavorful, and the peach filling was also very tasty and really reminded me of quakers peaches and cream oatmeal in flavor. I think the mint actually turned out to be my least favorite of the three, even though that was also very good (just not as awe-ing as the other two). Need to go back to try their thin cookies cuz I've currently been preferring the crisp exterior over the soft interior, so I know the thin cookies would hit.

Went to Shake Shack for dinner after walking through Central Park and then headed to Chip City for cookies. We got the chocolate chip, cookies and cream, and blueberry cheesecake. The blueberry cheesecake cookie was the star. Fresh blueberries and everything about the cookie worked. It was delicious. Cookies and cream was good but a little dry and believe it or not the chocolate chip wasn't that good. Staff was friendly and the cookies were fresh.

This was a small cute shop. I notice there was about Five flavors of cookies i went with the macadamia cookie. The cookies are about $5. The cookie was big and enough to share. My first impression was cookie was warm so they must be fresh. Once I got closer to the center the cookie was gooey and felt undercooked. I also did not see the nutrition labels on the menu for the cookies. The macadamia did not taste anything out of the ordinary for a cookie besides it being very very sweet and a big cookie.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

The second visit was to take advantage of their BOGO cake slice deal through the rewards app. It's a fun way to explore their cake selection without paying full price. I ordered the Blueberry chiffon cake slice filled with soft cream, topped with blueberry yogurt soft cream and blueberries and the strawberry soft cream cake slice, a vanilla cake filled with soft cream and fresh strawberries, topped with more berries. Service was friendly and the line moved quickly. Prices are typical for midtown NYC, but all the reward app perks make it more reasonable. I will definitely be back to earn more rewards and try more of their pastries.
