Pleasantly surprised! I read mixed reviews on the black pepper beef and decided to go for it, I was great. Frito mixo was a great starter and the mezcal cocktails were delicious

The food here is banging from start to finish. We came with another couple so we got a bunch of things to try a variety. We started with the chorizo egg-roll (phenomenal), the bacalao Caesar salad (it was so good we ordered a second one), the ceviche aji verde (my favorite app) and the thrice cooked chicharron. The chicharron was crispy and actually meaty not just all fat, which we liked. There is a guava bbq glaze that gave a nice salty sweetness. For mains, we shared the black pepper beef, the chicharron de pollo, and the roasted drinker chicken. Every single dish was so flavorful but the star main dish was the the chicharron de pollo. It was so crispy but still light! Definitely get all the sauces too!! The spicy duck sauce was amazing. Our server was friendly and the restaurant was chill and homey. Will definitely come back!

This is an intimate small spot but nonetheless still great. The music wasn't too loud you can hear yourself speak. The service was great as well the waiter was attentive. Most things on the menu are shareable. This restaurant has a great Asian - Spanish fusion. I really enjoyed the pork egg roll.

As a diasporic Chinese-Burmese Brooklynite, I love to try Chinese diasporic cuisine, so this restaurant featuring Chino-Latino cuisine in a North Brooklyn setting really called my name. They received a lot of buzz in the restaurant press when they first opened so it was tough to get a reservation at first, but I visited a year after they opened and my reservation was wholly unnecessary as the place sat mostly empty on a Saturday night. It seems that how full it gets fluctuates quite a bit but they've been able to capture a late night crowd by savvily offering karaoke after 10. Overall I'd give the food four stars. Garlic noodles are hard to mess up, and the cocktails were pretty good. The shrimp saltado was over salted, crab croquettes lacked umami. Crab rangoon toast had so much potential but just ended up tasting like fried bread with a little whiff of seafood flavor. I didn't hate it, but I'm eager to see them flex a little more in the kitchen. Happy to see they've survived the cutthroat restaurant scene these last few years, and if they offer specials and keep up that karaoke program I would consider returning.

This Chinese Latin fusion restaurant was interesting. The mixed drinks were interested and good. The staff was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very dark and intimate kind of vibe. Not too much noise. Which is great to chat with friends. We got a few dishes. The Frito mixto was very good with the fried plantains and whatnot. The ceviche aji verde was great with a big flat fried plantain to scoop up the ceviche. The thrice cooked chicharron was ok. It was way too fatty at certain points where it was hard to swallow the far when it wasn't rendered enough and too much chewing but the flavor was decent. The tres salchichas fried rice was pretty good with the hop chaeng, loganisa and chorizo sausage. The shrimp saltado was decent. We also got the black pepper beef that was decent but a bit too savory and salty Overall the meal was ok. It felt like some of the dishes was a bit too salty and hit or miss.

10/10 for sure! The food bomb! Drinks bomb! Vibe bomb! The prices aren't that bad either, and karaoke starts at 10pm. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I recently had a chance to visit Chino Grande for a friend's birthday. And what a great experience. The food was delicious and service was very friendly. It is truly a mix of Asian and Latino dishes that marry perfectly. Differently would go back. I recommend the drunken chicken sooooo good.

First off I want to say shout out to the bartender who had her Spotify playlist rocking. The tunes coming out of the speakers had me grooving through every bite of my meal. The space is cool but for a place called chino grande and serving Bori-China food there was nothing to me that represented the cuisine I was eating in the Ambience. Aside from that the food is great ! The fried rice was my favorite dish of the night. Would definitely return

Came here for double date. The dining room is super cute but small so make reservations. As a Puerto Rican woman, I feel like I know crunch fried chicken called Chicharron de pollo. Well I have not had one as good as this!! It's a must!!! The steak with gravey also so good, comforting .

Came here for dinner with 2 friends. We made a reservation near their opening time so it wasn't crowded but it did get crowded by the time we finished later in the evening. Drinks and food were good. I like their chips and 3 sauce dips. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. For the price of the dishes, the portions are small.

Food service and ambiance were all great. Hip hop music playing, beautiful decor. Decided to try out this place in Williamsburg on a Saturday afternoon. Upon walking in we were greeted by what seemed to be the bartender who sat us down and took out food order as well. She was great, made our drinks so delicious. The food came out fast and everything was tasty and well seasoned.

An outstanding dining experience, especially as someone who has experienced a version of all these dishes, so to see it all done again in a new way was eye-opening. Music is on point. The ambiance is dim and good for a date night or a leveled up friend hangout. Recommendation is to get 1 small and 1 large per person. And you'll leave so satiated and full. Breakdown of the food (I'd get everything I ordered again): CHIPS WITH SAUCE CADDY: those sauces are unexpected. You think you know what ketchup and mayo tastes like together, but it isn't just thousand island sauce. There's a good kick to it. The chips are sufficiently salted, plentiful and overflowing out of the bowl: the perfect vehicle for the sauces. CHA SIU BITES: sticky with glaze, topped with ginger and scallion oil. It has a different flavor profile from your regular Chinatown char siu but just as good. There are plenty of chunks of char siu to share between two. ARROZ CHAUFA: each individual grain of rice is separated with an oily coat of that wok hei. Has a good ratio of vegetables to meat for a fried rice dish. The lapcheong is a really welcome bite when you get into it. HOT AND SOUR MUSHU CABBAGE: an unexpected winner in this meal. It captures the essence of a Chinese hot and sour soup perfectly. The thin pancake it comes with that I usually see paired with duck slices is the perfect vehicle. The texture just complements the plentiful vegetable mix perfectly. So you get the perfect bite: a soft exterior with crunchy cabbage interior. It comes with hoisin sauce but it doesn't even need it. Really fantastic gluten free and vegan dish. FRITO MIXTO: the maduros are the standout in this dish. A perfect crispy and crusty caramelized coat around this plantain. Fried yuca and tostones pair nicely with the sauce caddy.

Ambiance was really warm and intimate food portions are good enough to share drinks were good strong. Food was a 6/7 rating egg roll amazing fried rice and flan we looked so forward to were a little disappointed. Food had good flavor just left me feeling like ok it was good. A little pricey. But nice area and great music and they have karaoke . Good service too

Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.
