    Surf and turf fried rice

Absolutely amazing surf and turf fried rice! Worth every penny! My rare streak was cooked to perfection! And our server violet was awesome thank you for the recommendation! Added bonus they had the Mexico vs Ecuador game on! What a night! Thank you! Ps the presentation of the food was 100 times better than the photo I took. I had dug in and thought I should take a picture of this delicious food.

Stopped by again after a while and noticed they changed their happy hour menu. Monday happy hour is all day and Tuesday through Sunday it runs from 2 PM to 6 PM. They also have daily specials like $5 sushi on Wednesdays. I like the booths and they have really nice bathrooms. The churros are still one of my favorites even though they changed them a little. They used to give you more berry sauce, but thankfully you can ask for extra. I definitely need to come here more often.

Fun dine in experience at Chinitas! Walked in and we were sat at a booth. The music was a fun lively volume with a good upbeat mix of songs. Our server, Dennis, was attentive and friendly. We ordered two sushi rolls (Spicy Tuna Crunch & King Kong), blackened shrimp tacos (added cheese) and chips with guacamole (ask for a side of salsa). The food was great, good portions and very fresh. The chips were a tad stale but next time I would just ask for fresh chips for the order. There's an upstairs space for events so could definitely see how an event could be super cool for a venue. Will definitely be back!

This one's tricky... and I'll tell you why. Upon arrival, on a Saturday afternoon (beginning of happy hour) it wasn't busy, but as you can imagine, I walked in with 3 groups behind me. The hostess wasn't in her station, I get it, downtime, but the bartenders watching the door didn't greet with a smile either. I felt ignored.. hostess seen the crowd of people and moved quickly. She sat us one at a time, felt a little more inviting, and I was greeted by my waiter, Johnathon. He is the reason I turned my frown upside down. Him and the food :) holy moly!!! Wow. My favorite item was the beet tostada but EVERYTHING was delicious. The chicken tinga tostada was full of flavor. Everything smacked. I'm very impressed. I will be back. Hopefully with a better smart.

Visited Chinitas on 2/14 for a quick brunch. Ordered the carnitas fries, birria egg rolls, and salmon and lemon sushi roll (forgot the specific name). The food tasted delicious and paired well with the drink I got. Since it was Valentine's Day, the venue was hosting a Galentine's event in the patio and also had a DJ. Everything was nicely decorated, and I even heard the DJ state song requests were free, a nice touch. Service was quick, and everything tasted delicious. Will definitely have to frequent Chinitas a bit more and keep an eye out for the events they are having.

    You have arrived.

Wow, creative drink and food menu. Hubs loved his Chicken Tinga Happy Hour Tostadas, and I devoured my Beet Tosadas. Draft beer and a special cocktail rounded out our first Happy Hour here. They were busy just after 4pm on Friday. Jonathan was fabulous as our server, and we found out this is a sister restaurant to Sonrisa Grill in Lake Las Vegas. Located on Water Street, we had easy street parking. They had a vegan sushi roll and a few other things for me to try, many dishes (and libations!) which looked good to the hubs for next time.

Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Plenty Perk: Food Non-Perk: Booths are not comfy Ambiance: Bar with a fun twist Dress: Business Casual Noise: Low Temperature: Perfect Recommend: 100% Response Time: N/A Professionalism: On point Date: 1/18/2026 Dissertation: Stopped in here on a beautiful outing. Ordered one Thai Daisy and somehow ended up with a few... zero regrets! My husband's spicy mango mule was so good he's still talking about it. We started in the dining room with the great and super attentive Violet, who was lovely, but my back quickly voted "no" on the booths, totally not her fault. Not sure why they have the center of the back rest protruding out, very uncomfortable. We moved to the bar where Matt took great care of us, one of the best decisions of the night! Brussels sprouts had a serious kick but were insanely good and were extremely addictive. The Taco Trio was unreal, every....single....one. Closed it out with the Wagyu sliders and fries, which were both just as amazing.

When people ask me for restaurant recommendations, this spot is always at the top of my list. I love the vibes here, especially with the live music. It's one of my favorite places to come with a group of girlfriends. There are fun little games outside, so I usually like to sit out there and hang out. This place is great for both brunch and dinner--I've been here for food and drinks at different times, and it never disappoints. The drinks are awesome, and the staff is always super nice and friendly. I've never had to wait long, which is a huge plus. Whether you're coming for a date night or a ladies' brunch, this place is a great choice and always a good time.

Located in the Water Street District. Food was great service was a complete meltdown. Seated right away during happy hour on 3.13.26. First timer not off to a good start. Waiters and Waitress's passed by back our and forth our table and no one asked if we have been helped Until Shana walked over and saved the day as we were getting ready to leave. Shana was great very service oriented and in my opinion very diligent and pays attention to what is going on in the restaurant. Thank you again Shana

On a whim we decided to go on a Monday after learning they have all day happy hour on Mondays. We arrived around 1:30 pm and it wasn't busy at all! Feels more like a sports bar, but it wasn't too loud. There are TV's all around to watch games and nice outdoor seating area. We received a friendly greeting, seated at a booth, and got the run down on all the specials. We ordered a number of things: Chicken lettuce cups: I wasn't expecting the chicken to be served cold, but it was very good. Salt & Pepper wings: Very tasty and crispy Blackened shrimp tacos: Flavorful Shrimp fried rice: amazingly good, jumbo shrimp, and enough to share The price point was perfect. We will be back!

    Birria Egg Rolls

We decided to try this spot based on the strong Yelp reviews, and overall the food definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered a good variety: General Tso's chicken tacos, poke nachos, birria egg rolls, surf & turf fried rice, wagyu sliders with fries, salmon nigiri, and spicy scallop hand rolls. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared--no complaints on the food side at all. The ambiance was a big plus. The place was clean, had a great vibe, and there was a DJ playing good music which added to the experience. You can also walk by a window and see into the kitchen, which was a nice touch. Where things fell short was the service. When we walked in, there wasn't much of a greeting and it took a bit to get seated. After that, it felt like we were waiting quite a while at each step--getting greeted, ordering drinks, and then placing our food order. The food itself came out in a reasonable time. The staff was friendly throughout, but it seemed like our server was stretched too thin. One small detail, but worth noting--no ramekins were provided for soy sauce or wasabi with the sushi, which felt a bit unusual. The total came out to around $175, and at that price point, I'd expect a smoother experience from start to finish. Overall, great food and atmosphere, friendly staff, but inconsistent service. Not sure I'd go back.

    Baka Roll

Here at Chinitas on Water Street, you will find a mixed fusion of Japanese and Mexican food. We walked in and we were seated right away, where a live DJ was present on the outdoor patio. Reservations are recommended during peak hours, but that didn't matter to us since we got here later in the night. Kyle and I have had sushi on our minds for a while now and we immediately looked at the sushi menu. But first, we decided to share an appetizer of birria eggrolls, which were topped with cilantro and pickled onions. These were really good! Whenever we go to a Japanese restaurant, Kyle always orders a thing of nigiri on the side along with his sushi. Nigiri is a sometimes kind of dish for me because I'll never know how many sushi rolls I'll get, and I'm that someone who gets full easily. I ordered the Hawaiian Roll and Kyle ordered the Baka Roll, along with the salmon nigiri. The first and last Hawaiian Roll on my plate had a crunchy shrimp tail attached on one side, which ended up adding more of that fishy flavor to it. The Baka Roll came with a thing of noodles and was topped with I believe were crunchy onions, drizzled with numerous sauces. Before we left, I went to go use the restroom and they were very clean, although I did have some trouble locking the stall door at first. A clean restroom is something that I always expect when I visit a restaurant. If you're a happy hour fan, Monday is definitely the best day to be here, as they have this all day on Monday's. They are also making a difference during the month of September, where if one buys the Teal Drink, a portion of its' proceeds will go to the NOCC (National Ovarian Cancer Coalition), as September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Service and atmosphere were both solid. Parking can be a challenge since it's mostly street parking in the water district. Our server was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us often. The bathroom was also clean and well-kept, which I appreciated. The food looked appealing, but the quality didn't fully match the presentation. The tacos and the chicken and beet tostadas were the highlights--fresh and flavorful. However, the other appetizers on the happy hour specials fell short. Particularly, the corn ribs in particular didn't work for me, as the sauces were overly sweet. Overall, it was an okay experience. While not everything hit the mark, there's enough potential here that I'd give it another try, mainly for the dishes I enjoyed.

We were very pleased and happy my daughter found this restaurant on Yelp while we were in Vegas!…read more The reviews did not disappoint us or let us down! There was some major construction in the neighborhood, so it took us in circles but we finally arrived! The restaurant is quaint and located in a strip mall. Parking was crazy, and we had quite a few panhandlers walk up to us as we waited outside for our table. The restaurant is smaller but extremely crowded. Many patrons were dining there, and we can understand why. We ordered a variety of dishes, appetizers and desserts. Each one was fresh and had great flavoring! We did not order the AYCE. We ordered several rolls and they were 5/5. The rice was fresh and so was the fish. There were not any aftertaste or seaside smells at all. They didn't overcompensate by drowning the rules in sauces. You can actually taste everything which was very refreshing. The muscles were cooked properly. They were not overcooked or undercooked. They were not too watery like most places. They actually used real missago. The only thing that I would suggest is to maybe spend a little bit more time cleaning the shells. We ordered several appetizers such as the taoyaki, tempura, edamame and a few others. I love the way the temper was nice and crispy on the outside and the shrimp was still tender and fully cooked. The edamame was not watered down and had the right amount of salt. The taiyaki actually had chunks of octopus and not just smush seafood and sauce in the middle. The desserts were okay, we asked for green tea but they gave us something different. The tempora fried ice cream was a little too battered. The service was pretty good even though they were extremely busy. They did come and check on us a couple of times and we did have to wave them down a few times. However they were friendly and definitely did respond to us when we asked for additional items. We definitely do not have any complaints about this restaurant. We will definitely be coming back. We highly recommend it.

I'm usually pretty particular…read moreabout sushi, especially living in Las Vegas where there are so many options, so it's rare that a place really stands out to me. But this one absolutely did. The quality of the fish was incredible -- fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. Everything tasted balanced and thoughtful, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. It's not easy to find sushi that feels this intentional. What made it even better was the service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made the whole experience feel comfortable and elevated without being over the top. This might have become my new neighborhood spot. I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

The avocado salad was fresh, but for the price, it felt too simple -- mostly just avocado and greens. It would've been much better with more variety and texture added. The sushi was decent and enjoyable enough, but the nabeyaki udon was disappointing. It barely had any protein, and the udon noodles lacked that chewy texture you'd expect from authentic Japanese udon. Even though it was served in a hot pot, it wasn't steaming or boiling hot like a real comforting nabeyaki udon should be. Service was also just so-so and didn't really stand out.
