I enjoy writing reviews for small independent places like this, but Chinese Dumplings was great. In West Texas, it's tricky finding quality Asian restaurants. It is new, modern and clean, but the real charm is the chef in the back making dumplings! Hand made, fresh, steamed or pan fried just like on the coasts. Truly unique in this part of the world. Decided to give this place a try for lunch today, went in, only one other customer there when we arrived. Looked promising, menu items all sounded good & prices were reasonable. Started to place our order & the waitress gave us a heads up that the beef dumpling take awhile to make, at least 15 minutes so I changed my order to the tomato & beef soup, soup is fast right? Wrong! My husbands food came out about 15-20 minutes after we ordered & the waitress said mine would be right out, another 10-15 minutes later, he's almost done & I ask about my food. The waitress says it'll be out soon, "the soup takes longer then the spicy beef noodles". Another 5-10 minutes & I'm done waiting, I go up to tell her to cancel my food & I'm ready to pay. She tells me again that my food is almost ready, I tell her it's too late I have to get back to work, she argues with me that it's ready but I can see in the kitchen & I don't see anyone making what looks like my soup. They are cutting chicken & making dumplings neither has anything to do with what I ordered. She finally rang up my husbands food, $16 for spicy beef noodles & ice tea. Based on how long it took, I never did get my food & the waitress giving me a hard time when I just wanted to pay & leave, we won't be back. read more

Wow! This place JUST opened a few weeks ago. I came across an ad in Craigslist no less which is how I spotted it. The flavor of everything has been a league of its own. My husband and I have been working through the menu and everything has been delicious and FULL OF FLAVOR. My favorite is the fried dumplings, but my husband LOVES the beef noodle soup. This is probably the best Chinese food in town right now. The menu is small and purposeful, what's on there is there because it's top quality and delicious. You can tell everything is being made from scratch in the back too, no premade food or reheated recipes here. This is the real deal ya'll. I cannot recommend this place enough, I've been trying to get all my friends to come try it out! read more

My wife and I came here a few months ago and we decided to try it one more time. Service was good, we were greeted when we entered. I ordered unsweetened tea to drink, the wife ordered hot green tea. I had to change my tea to a soda because the tea tasted sour, no big deal, easy fix. We ordered beef dumplings, pork dumplings ,kimchi, spicy beef noodle and beef roll cake . Kimchi came out first for the wife. Beef dumplings came out really good and hot then the pork dumplings came out also nice and hot followed by the beef roll cake. Our waitress said she forgot to put in the order for the spicy beef noodle. So we just canceled that part of the order. Over all the food was really good, service was ok but she seemed really knew and kinda unsure of everything. No harm it was a little busy tonight. We have gotten take out from here once before and it was pretty good so we went in a few days ago. They were out of several items... a real bummer but really no biggie (1st world problems am I right?)... we went with our second choices for our entrees and appetizers. Service was good, we were served by a lady with a hispanic accent and she was super nice to us and to our son. Like super nice! We loved her! I wish I remembered her name. The ambiance was nice, it was quiet and clean. My only complaint is the kimchi is $5 and you get the smallest serving of it! It was a few bites worth. The cold tofu was amazing, our entrees were super delicious, and the kimchi was also great. Their soda fountain must've been out because I got a fountain Pepsi and my husband got a canned drink... he set his can next to my drink and I was never offered a refill and he was even though he had half a glass left. Even that was a big deal, I just had to ask our wonderful waiter to hit me with a little more Pepsi to swallow the last of my delicious food. Definitely recommend! read more

My Wife and I are traveling for work and always love to find places that are great to eat. This is one of them, we went every weekend for a month. We get stuffed, and now we crave this place when we miss a weekend or two. It's been a while and we'll definitely be heading back. Highly recommend their Steamed BBQ Teriyaki Chicken Bao. It's so good, we'll split that as we wait for the main course. So good. Walk in after 5pm when their seating area is open to dining in and sit wherever you'd like. I like the calming back ground music they play, and it's a friendly atmosphere. We love it so much and look forward to eating here again. Eat in, don't order something to go. read more
