Salt and Pepper wings are great. Sweet and sour chicken was good also. I will recommend this spot to all family and friends.

Food was very good and fresh, came out quickly. The lady working was very quick and nice.

Better than it used to be if they use real rice instead of par boiled rice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered on a food delivery app so I really did not get to see the ambience of this place, but even though there are a plethora of bad reviews, I wanted to see so for myself just out of curiosity after I saw something saying that they were under new ownership and I am very happy I did everything that I tried was good. I got the shrimp lo mein and I ate some of the shrimp toast and it was a little oily but still had a good taste. It just tasted like Chinese food like Chinese takeout that you get I really don't have any complaints. Everything was hot and it was packaged really well. I can't speak on the service but I give it a 8/10. read more

Literally the WORST combo fried rice I've ever had from a Chinese restaurant. It tasted like the fried rice that comes in a frozen lean cuisine. I took 1 bite and threw the entire container away, super disappointed. read more

I live in River Ridge and my family and I order from here often. They are super fast and the food is consistently good here. You know exactly what you are getting every time. They added tables so we can dine in now. One night I forgot I didn't have a car, the family that runs the place drove the food to me when they closed without me asking. It was the nicest thing ever! Their family is super sweet!! They create a perfect ambiance :). Help support some great people while eating some great food. read more

I see why there are so many five stars for this establishment. The food and service is outstanding. Seven Chinese restaurants on the Westbank are closed and have been about a month now due to COVID-19, so it's been a minute since we've had Chinese food. That said, I found this little gem on Yelp. It is hidden in a small plaza strip in River Ridge and easy to miss if you're driving too fast (I wasn't tho lol). We ordered the special family combo #2 for $34.99. It feeds 4 people and the food is generously proportioned. From appetizers to entrees, everything was great! We ordered 4 eggs rolls (choice of shrimp or pork or mix), pork fried rice substituted for house special rice for an additional $3.75 and 3 entrees: General tso's, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp with broccoli. We also got an order of chicken wings as another appetizer and quart of house lo mein. The food was so delicious that we've decided to make this spot a go-to fav. $58 later and with so much food ordered, it is safe to say that there will be leftovers. Oh, and orders over $40, allows you the choice of a free quart of fried rice, lo mein or soda. We chose the quart of pork fried rice. As a first time visitor, I'd definitely recommend them to others. read more

There are delicious staples and very friendly people here! About to call in our 3rd order since moving to the area recently!

The fried rice was terrible. The Sesame chicken over cooked, 1 piece of Broccoli and looks like the egg roll shrunk some. read more

I'll admit I originally ordered from here because it was the only place open with Mandarin Chicken during the COVID times... BUT, wow am I impressed. This will forever by my "go to" place when I want Chinese food. The shrimp in the Shrimp Fried Rice were big, fresh and cooked perfectly. The chicken was all white and not dry processed chicken either, very high quality meat. read more

If there was a zero star that's what I would have given it‍ I ordered one thing and what they gave me is not what I usually get from other places. It said pork fried rice and it was the worlds smallest square and there probably was 6 so small couldn't see it. The meat was salty and really no flavor. I just finished it the rest went in trash and I will never go there again. It was Kung Pao chicken and it was the worst. 1st time and the last.... I was disappointed.. read more

If you are going to be open at this time , do not treat your customers like s$))t. My husband went to pick up food and said was treated horribly and was not gonna tip them, as a server normally I'm 100% not ok normally, but do not treat your customers badly. Food good , but service needs to remember we have choices at this time to continue to support their business or not. Word of mouth does work. read more

I feel like giving them 1 star but as it is a small, family business, I will give them 2. First, if you are easily depressed, don't walk into this business. They have candy/toy despensors and all are out of order. The lighting isn't good, the layout is horrendous, the few seats are in disrepair. You have to get a key to use the bathroom, which, in all honesty, was nasty enough for me not to want to wash my hands in it. The booth we sat in was connected to the booth behind us by a shared cushin. So if someone sits in the booth behind you, their back pushed into the material which pushes into you. There is no hard seperation. You are basically back to back with someone and as they move, you move. That's really horrible, to be honest. And there are only 3 booths, 1 table (which was dirty) and a long bench for take-out order-people to wait...watching a TV with Curious George playing on it. But nothing matters but the food, right? In the front windows are these little signs saying Vote 100 best Chinese Restaurants in the USA. Multiple years worth of signs. I'm thinking that this HAS to be good if they were voted one of the 100 best over and over through the years. Right? We ordered the Shrimp with garlic sauce combo (extra spicy), an order of crab rangoons and 2 bottles of water. The shrimp w/ garlic sauce was about as generic an item as possible. It didn't taste garlicy, there were 6 shrimp and they were soft and not snappyat all. Very mushy. I'm guessing frozen from China or something. No excuse for that when we have some of the best shrimp in the world right outside our doors. I also asked for it extra spicy and this was not spicy at all. 0% spice. The fried rice was just ok. Nothing bad...nothing special. The eggroll had no flavor except maybe a little cabbage. The worst part about the meal is the part the Girly usually looks forward to the most. Crab Rangoons. I almost typed crap rangoons and I wouldn't have felt guilty if I had. They were sweeter than most donut fillings and tasted nothing like crab. Think of smearing cream cheese mixed with sugar onto a fried wonton. That's it in a nutshell. So between the shoddy, sad space it is in and the terrible food, I'm totally amazed that it's gotten so many good reviews. P.S. Reading the signs a little better as we left, they were asking people to vote them in as one of the 100 best chinese restaurants in the USA. Nope. Don't think I'll be submitting them in for that particular prize. To end on a positive note, I did not get food poisoning that I know of. May update later if things change. read more

Do NOT got to china taste on Jefferson Hwy in river Ridge. This is what we opened our bag to. And when we tried to call them she hung up on us. So we brought it all back. Plastic all in the sauce and everything. And she swiped our card for the wrong order then swiped for the right order. Needless to say, take your business elsewhere. Unless you wanna choke on some plastic. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

This place is so great! Such a sweet family owned place. They have your traditional Chinese food, but it's always freshly cooked. It's very very clean. I definitely would come here again. If you are in the area and wanting some chinese food give them a try. Very reasonably priced too. read more

China Taste was highly recommended by some friends and I thought I'd finally give it a try. I've had a hard time finding tasty Chinese food since cutting chicken out of my diet and needed a Chinese fix today. China Taste took my order promptly over the phone and was just about ready when I picked it up. The establishment is quant with a few tables and lots of broken quarter games along the wall. We decided to take out rather than eat in and when we got home, the food was still steaming and tasty. There are a few more things in the menu that looked worth trying. We shall be back. read more

On my way to work and decided to stop in a try this place..I ordered to go and checked the food once I got to work. they gave me the wrong food and there was no one else in this store. This wouldn't be such a bad thing IF it were food that was good. I ordered chicken and they gave me some kind of shrimp. Which doesn't taste very good. The fried rice I ordered is okay. Very bland read more

I love the kung pao chicken at this place, it really is delicious. The last time I went I tried the peppersteak and it was sadly not so good. The texture of the meat was weird and it just didn't have a good taste to it. The fried rice and eggrolls are really tasty, and my friend loves the ribs. The people are really nice and they remember you if you are a regular. I might have tried the one bad thing on the menu-they are definitely worth a try. And remember, yummy kung pao chicken! read more

While I have not tried a lot of their menu, I have found several items that I like so much that China Taste has become my new place to pick up food when I do not feel like cooking. First thing is that when I call in my order it has so far been ready when I get there (10 to 15 minutes) and the order has been correct. I get the large combination chop suey and ask that it is "low salt", it has large pieces of sliced chicken and pork and also shrimp. The vegetables are very fresh and not over cooked, the meat is delicious and there is a lot of it, a good amount of tasty food, I also order the large steamed vegetables, this is made with no oil or salt, they will give you one of several sauces on the side if you wish, I like to combine the chop suey with the steamed vegetables once I get home, this makes a really delicious meal, both dishes come with white rice as well. Sometimes I also get a large combination lo mein which is a large soft noodle with meat and vegetables, I also order this "low salt, I mix the chop suey and the steamed vegetables with the lo mein for a great noodle dish, this is a huge amount of food for the price and it lasts me several days. The dishes I mention do not have a lot of sauce so the vegetables do not get soggy and reheat nicely the next day. Other dishes I love are the fried chicken wings, you get 4 large crispy meaty wings, better than any fried chicken I can get at places that specialize in fried chicken. I also get the combination fried rice which I ask to be made "low salt", this is an excellent fried rice, not that oily, salty, dark fried rice that so many other places serve, lots of chicken, pork and shrimp, it is really delicious! Another plus is that they are open 7 days a week and they are open late, very pleasant on the phone when I order as well, I really love this place, fresh, well cooked, tasty food in large amounts, all very reasonably priced!!!! Ps. I just tried their boneless pork ribs, fantastic! Cut up pieces with a great slightly sweet sauce, a small order was quite large and delicious. I also tried the house special soup, not to salty, with pork, chicken and shrimp, 3 large wonton (which are excellent) and vegtables, in addition I got the wonton soup which is just broth and a lot of their delicious wontons (look and taste home made) which are a thick noodle like wrapping stuffed with a pork filling, they are really tasty, I mixed the two soups together, delicious!!!!! read more
